I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Everything was loaded from our old house quickly. There were a few items that didn't fit in the truck but we were able to go back later and retrieve. Christian and Cameron wasted no time upon arrival at our new house. They were communicative and checked in periodically to ensure boxes and furniture were going to the right locations. They quickly unloaded and had our furniture reassembled in no time. We were very impressed by them. They carried themselves professionally and were friendly. They had us unloaded quicker than expected! They were very appreciative of the Gatorade we picked up for them and thanked us several times. After unloading, they walked the house with us to ensure everything was where we wanted it. Can't say enough good things about these two and about Einstein Moving. Price was very reasonable especially considering their efficiency and quality of work. Well-worth the cost. I've already recommended Einstein Moving to others. Would definitely hire again! Our experience was quite different. I understand that the owners of this company are not present for the moves so they may be unaware, but these movers seemed to be amateurs. After the move was completed, the movers left their trash on the curb of our home, including water bottles, and also left partially empty tea bottles inside the house. That alone showed a lack of professionalism and respect for a client's home. During the move, they spent time talking on their phones, which slowed the process down. Several items were also left behind at the original house, forcing us to travel back after the move was completed to retrieve them. Many pieces of furniture were not placed in the correct rooms, which caused additional frustration and ultimately required us to hire another set of hands to help reorganize and move items properly. There was also damage to our belongings. My daughter's $400 dollhouse was broken during the move, mirrors were not attached back to the bedroom sets, and the bed was not put together properly. In addition, multiple parts of our furniture were left at the old house. To make matters even more concerning, my wedding ring also went missing during the move. This entire situation created far more stress than relief on what was already a very demanding day. I explained that as we hired movers specifically to make moving large items easier and less stressful. Unfortunately, this experience was the complete opposite. I truly hope the company takes these concerns seriously and improves their professionalism, accountability, and care when handling customers' homes and belongings. Workflow: - straightforward online form instead of trying to make a phone call during business hours while at work - email confirmation right after submitting form and again two days prior to the move - as described in their email, on the morning of, I received a phone call within an hour before, informing me that they were on the way - they arrived just before the scheduled time (I was their first move of the day) - I had packed the things I wanted them to move in advance, so I showed them the piles of things I wanted them to move - we signed the contract (all the things I expected + insurance option, with the default basic option as a price per weight reimbursement for any damaged items) - without even having to say much to each other they knew where to start - wrapped all the big furniture in blankets and duct tape - couch cushions were temporarily a little squished as they do during a move, but there were no damages to anything - after the move, I verified that everything had been moved and signed the post-move part of the contract Pros: - perfect workflow for a zellenial who's used to ordering things online and they magically appear - the team understood that my goal was to stay within the 3h, told me it was definitely reasonable, and were ultimately able to accomplish it - paid in cash and exactly as quoted (minus the $75 deposit) with no surprise fees and no extra charge for supplies or gas or stairs

I'm giving others a heads-up to be careful. Keep an eye on what you allow them to move, and make sure you end up with your property. There were two groups; I'm not sure whether it was the first or the second move. I don't like posting negative reviews, but I dislike others taking my property. No ma'am, I don't blame you, but one of the two groups took my stuff. I had them in a case and didn't even think to check it until I needed a meter. The container was empty.
