This is my second visit here and although it was still beautiful, the water wasn't as turquoise and breathtaking as I remember it being the first time I visited. After conducting some research, I do believe that has to do with the time of year of the visits. Regardless, it's still very enjoyable and worth checking out. It's basically a very calm lake. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and completely care free no worries vibe. It's the spot to definitely unplug and take in natures pure beauty right in front of your eyes. In the water are hammocks for swinging. An area for overlook. A few huge docks. There's also a few swings in the water. A bar area to purchase beverages and food items. Note, it does cost to get in. I believe it was $18.00 US dollars. You are not allowed to bring in sunscreen, you leave it at the door, and can take it on your way out. You're required to take a shower upon entering. Staff were friendly and explained everything well even with the bit of language barrier. My friend and I enjoyed our time for about two hours and if I come back in February/March 2026, I'd definitely come back for another visit.

The Laguna is only a few minutes of walking away from the parking lot. There is a nice observation tower to look at the shift between shallow and deep water. Regular swimmers are limited to the shallow area on the outskirts of the Laguna (which is very expansive) while divers with equipment are allowed to go to the deep center. In the shallow areas are various swings, hammocks, photo opportunities, and even volleyball nets (bring your own ball). We spent a few hours relaxing in the water and soaking up the sun. The ticket is 300 pesos per person and parking is free (need a small tip).

This was my first time…read moresnorkeling in a lagoon and I was really excited because the water looked clear and beautiful on land. We came here with a tour guide around 11am in February, and the water was not only cold, but there were not many fish. When there were fish, it was the same type of fish over and over again. Maybe she just didn't take us to the right places, but I didn't see anything that excited me. I probably wouldn't want to come here again to snorkel. There are probably much better places for it!

Yal Ku happened to be the lagoon our guide took us to. Didn't get to explore the area too much but theres a parking lot, small changing rooms, bathrooms, and a small restaurant. Several other groups were there trying to snorkel at the same but it wasn't overly crowded. We first went and got our supplies...lifevests, goggles and fitted them. Once everyone was fitted we jumped into the water and were instructed to go to a certain area of the lagoon. Some areas had slightly poor visibility--I mean, it is a lagoon, can't expect too much. Some cool things I saw included this huge school of sardines swimming right next to me and some rainbow colored fish in another area. Almost didn't want to leave the water because I was so excited to explore. Made me want to book a snorkeling trip to an island asap... Anyway, when you do come out to the parking area, you might run into the ice cream man with those pinwheel crackers~get some!

We visited this Cenote after leaving Coba (1-2-20). The guard shack guy told us all about it and…read moregave us a brochure with a map. It was easy to find! We only did the Multun-Ha because we had spent so much time at Coba. This Cenote is a traditional underground pool. The hole/entrance winds down about 100 steps to the bottom dock. You can jump in; it is plenty deep. There are ropes you can sit/hold on to. Take time to just sit in the water and enjoy how SOFT the water feels on your skin. It is super clear too. It is so clear that it appears you can touch but the rocks below are very far down. The next time we visit a Cenote, I will bring goggles and a snorkel so I can look under the water for long periods of time. The rocks below are a wonder to see just like the rocks above. Be sure to make this part of your Coba trip! MOST SINCERELY!!!!

It was very quiet and hardly anyone but us 12 in the group were there. You take a very narrow spiral stairway down about 75 feet. I was blown away with the energy there. Breathtaking. Beautiful clear blue waters and so refreshing after our bike through the jungle and hike up the ruins. There are 3 areas to get in and ropes in the water so you can hold onto. Life jackets are available. Some people were diving and flipping off a ramp area. Waters are about 70°. I saw a few small black catfish swimming. Words do not describe the beauty. You do need to shower before you get in. There is a shower, changing and restroom area when you arrive. One of the guests said they needed to shower when we got out but our guide said the same water you are showering with is the water from the cenote lol I do not recommend you to rent a car and come here. You need an off road vehicle to get here because the road is made of rock, has holes and is very bumpy.

The workers here are stationed right at the parking lot, so you can leave your belongings in your car without worry. If you do take your car key with you, be 100% sure that you don't lose it (like some other visitors during our trip did) because it will not be able to be recovered depending on where you drop it. Be ready for the water to be cold! The water is very clear so you'll want to bring swim goggles or a dive mask with you, if not a snorkel. The more adventurous can jump off the platforms along the spiral staircase into the water. Apparently life jackets are available if you're not a strong swimmer, but I didn't see these when we first arrived, some other visitors had them on as we were leaving. There are bats living in the stalactites , as well as small fish in the water. You will be required to take a shower before going into the cenote, so don't bother putting on any makeup, sunscreen, insect repellant, hair products, deodorant, etc. before you go in (seriously, please help to protect the ecosystem here!). I'm knocking a star off because there are multiple cenotes in this area and as you drive up to them, there's a station for temperature checks and to pay a per person fee (100 pesos/head if I remember right) before heading further up to the parking lots. Once we got to the parking lot though, we were asked to show a ticket before we were allowed into the cenote. However, we weren't given a ticket. We then had to argue with the worker in the parking lot that we had obviously already paid because otherwise we wouldn't have been allowed to continue up to the parking lot.

I forgot to take pics of the food at the latter, but I highly recommend. The cenotes near Cobá cost 100 pesos/person (17.75 exch), and are well worth it. The water is crystal clear and refreshing after climbing to the top of the pyramid. In addition, the sight inside in pretty cool as you look at these natural swimming holes. If you are really brave there are two diving platforms. The top one is 25 feet high, and the lower one about half-way. Sorry, but I'm not from Acapulco so I didn't indulge. There are many cenotes in the area, but our tour co Xcursion307 was able to give us private transportation for four, and we weren't on a schedule. I highly recommend them for transportation to/from the airport, as well as for any sites in the area.
