This place has been on my list since it opened. I finally got a chance to check it out for lunch. I looked over the menu before I arrived and wanted the Wagyu Burger as soon as I saw it. I had an incredible waiter, he answered questions and told me about his favorite items. The restaurant is beautiful, open and modern, you feel as if you're out of town for a while. I especially enjoyed the open kitchen and the alfresco dining area. My food arrived fresh and hot! I did ask for my burger to be cooked medium well but I read the menu so fast I didn't realize it was 2 patties so I should've asked for it to be cooked under. Nonetheless it was juicy and delicious! The only thing that could have made it better would have been the option to have Duck Fat Fries or Truffle Fries! I got the Berries and Lychee Mocktail since I still had things to do and was good. I had a great experience and look forward to trying more items on the menu.

This place def screams fancy date night. Unfortunately hubby and I just aren't those kinds of people. But we wanted to give this place a shot because the name was cool and the inside was cool. Unfortunaely, it was expensive and the serving sizes were small enough neither of us had leftovers. I did like the vibe and loved the purse stands at every table. But for us the place was very forgettable. The food was a little strange to us. Hubby's bone marrow tacos came with the actual bone. Look, I just thought it was like in the sauce or something. Neither of us really expected that. He liked the tacos well enough without it. I didn't like them that much because they had that type of tortilla that I feel tends to overpower the flavor of the food itself. My Yakimeshi Al Fuego was good but the chicken was just bland and there was something white that was clearly meant to be more decorative than edible because it tasted weird. I liked the shrimp. Liked: - Yakimeshi Al Fuego Ok: - Tacos: Ribeye and Bone Marrow Disliked: - Drink: Dragon's Kiss

Very unique and awesome experience from start to finish! We are big foodies and always appreciate unique restaurants when we visit other cities, but Memphis doesn't always seem to appreciate unique culinary flavors and experiences. That's why I didn't put too much weight into some of the unfortunate previous negative reviews. I got a smoky Old Fashioned, and it was perfect. We ordered the burger, ribeye, bone marrow tacos, and salmon, and everything was cooked perfectly with presentation that was on point. All desserts are made by their own pastry chef and were delicious. Truly flavors you won't find anywhere else in town. We will definitely be back!! Memphis needs to support places like this if we want to keep unique, high-quality restaurants in our city. If you enjoy great food and a different culinary experience, give this place a shot and leave a good review so spots like this can continue to thrive here.

I decided to try brunch at Fuego Vivo. Although we had reservations for our small party of 4, the restaurant was quiet and there were plenty of tables available around 1pm. As usual, I was in the mood for an old fashioned and was served a smoked old fashioned which was great: I ordered the breakfast tacos with rotisserie chicken & they were pretty good. They probably could have used a little more chicken, but they were still pretty tasty. I captured photos of other meals served and everything looked delicious. Everyone was pleased with their selections. One thing to note - they do charge a 20% service charge. The service was good and we have no complaints. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, which would have been perfect for a date night.

Really good experience here Sunday. Our bookclub dined in for this month's book meet up. Reservation was easy to secure. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated. It was fairly empty at the time which allowed me to really take in the decor. I love the design. The space is pretty open and didnt feel congested. The brunch menu is pretty straight forward. There are several cocktail options but you can also request your normal go to as their is a full bar Cocktail: De de Los Muertos Delicious and flavorful Food: Fuego Breakfast Sampler Offered a variety of Breakfast staples. Large serving size Server: Wesley was super attentive and gave great suggestions.

Fuego Vivo is the place you want to be at. From the aesthetic to the food to the service. I was able to get a quick reservation and it wasn't too crowded when I got there. It is a huge restaurant, multiple sitting areas. My waiter Christian was amazing, he answered any questions I had. He explained each menu item and told me what was the customers favorite. I ordered the crispy cream corn tempura for starters, it tasted like friend okra and chicken. Well seasoned, the shredded cheese gave it an extra kick of flavor. For my entree, I ordered the salmon and it was cooked to perfection, seasoned well and a crispy. I enjoyed every bite.

Came here as a last minute decision for our anniversary and had a decent time. There was no wait for a table so got seated immediately. My husband got an Old Fashioned and I got a Whiskey Sour (our go to drinks when we can't decide on cocktails). For food he got the "table side" Chicken Alfredo. It was good but there was nothing table side about it like I've experienced on the west coast so don't get your hopes up on that. It was still a good meal though. I got the wagyu filet with bacon Mac and cheese. The filet was wonderful but the Mac and cheese was dry and wayyyy too much bacon. Didn't try any desserts so will have to come back but overall it was a good experience. I love the ambiance. It reminds me of west coast restaurants and bars. Would love to see more of this!

homemade bread, dipping sauce and butter taste amazing.

Date Night!! Their First Night Opened - my drink took a minute to come out, but the food came out on time and was delicious. The vibe was lit, and the crowd was clocking!! 8/10 - slow on drink and chicken little over cooked but seasoned to the gods! We ordered: The bread, dip, and butter spread were fire!! ROTISSERIE CHICKEN- Half rotisserie chicken, fried polenta, passion potato, salad. SHORT RIB WITH POLENTA - Slow-cooked short rib served over creamy polenta, with Malbec wine reduction. Dirty Martini!!

My experience was different compared to what I read before going. I believe other guests dined in right after their opening and experienced a less favorable experience. Our experience was amazing we dined in on a Sunday afternoon, there is plenty of seating options. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very open space between you and other tables. Our server was very attentive and patient with us through the entire dining process. The food was also fresh and flavorful. The only complaint was my sister said her salmon was a little salty other than that everyone enjoyed their meal. It's a great addition to the Memphis area.

Went for Easter Brunch. The decor is beautiful and the ambiance is top tier. Our server, AJ, was fabulous!!! We ordered chicken and waffles, breakfast tacos and the breakfast sampler. All of it was exceptional. Let me focus on the chicken & waffles thought. The chicken was so crispy and so was the waffle. It was served with a hot honey sauce that was fabulous. All of the portions were very generous. We also were served some delicious rolls when we sat down. This will definitely be in my rotation for brunch. Now I have got to get back for lunch or dinner very soon. 10 out of 10!!!

    Short ribs.

I had a wonderful experience at Fuego Vivo. The restaurant offers an elevated dining experience with a Latin flair. We started with the empanadas, which came with three different dipping sauces, and they were absolutely delicious. I ordered the short ribs, and they were incredibly tender and full of flavor. The filet was another standout. The presentation was especially impressive because it arrives at the table on its own small grill, keeping it hot while adding a fun, memorable touch. The food, presentation, and atmosphere made for a fantastic dining experience. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you are looking for something a little more upscale with amazing Latin inspired flavors.

The restaurant is beautiful, but when I went in March there were still things undone like doors for private seating areas and the stands for table side dishes that made me question if the opening was premature. I ordered the rotisserie chicken which is obviously smoked and it was very dry and no where near as juicy or flavorful as it was advertised. The corn appetizer is a unique dish a tad greasy. My cocktail was good and fruity. Most food was described as okay by the rest of our party, clearly we all had super high expectations. My friend brought in a cake for her birthday and was charged $35 to self serve and eat it inside, she was told she could take photos with it at no charge, none of this information was given to her when she reserved a table for 10 people, our server wasn't aware either and had to verify, which is unacceptable and unfortunate. I don't plan to return, the experience wasn't worth my money.

I am not sure if that's normal or something they are still fixing, but my understanding was they were only doing construction on the main dining area. IDK but I will definitely not sit out there again as I didn't even really get to talk to my friend. I liked the nachos I got but the okra was just ok. Could've used some seasoning. The Tiger Bleu Chips my friend ordered were a cool idea. I don't like buffalo sauce nor bleu cheese so I tried some chips and liked them but not the sauces. I loved the chicken on it though. I am not sure if it's the same chicken as the nachos but it didn't taste like it was. Honestly, it would be cool if they had options for the chips like maybe other sauces. Unfortunately, they messed up my husbands burger twice, which is not great. But the burger itself just tasted like nothing, which was worse. Hubby's tater tots were too salty. NGL, everything was just a little off and I think this place just isn't for me. Moody lighting, low rumble of noise and music you enjoy but don't notice. My kinda place. Rye was our server and she was excellent. Not only top-notch recommendations but also let us know about the tasting menu- I can't wait to come back to try the off-menu one they do the last Wednesday of every month. We got raw oysters to start and chose the seasonal preparation. It was almost like frozen lemonade crème fresh, but with the brine of the oysters it just worked. Would def order again! We started with a whiskey sour and AM old fashioned. Both great but mine was so good my husband ordered another round of them for us before we got a bottle of red. I don't recall what bottle it was but it worked perfectly as it wasn't too heavy and swung easily from apps/pasta/entrees. Then we opted into the blind tasting menu. 5 courses, chosen from the menu that you don't know what you're getting until it touches the table. My husband and I are pretty adventurous as far as food goes so it was perfect for us. No shit- Everything was amazing. I loved the tasting menu as it was not any dishes we were considering and I am so glad we got to try things we wouldn't have otherwise. For example, the little asparagus appetizer was the best thing we ate, on God. Like, what in the actual F ! The kind of magic they created with those little green veggies was out of this world --I didn't even want to swallow it was that delicious. There was some kind of fish crudo with beet and kumquat relish. Weird and so good! We also had some pasta with a lemon-y butter sauce and spinach and then a chicken entree. I was getting so full by the time entrees came I ate less than half of it but the skin was crispy, chicken was cooked to perfection and husband finished them both. Now yall, the dessert was a heavenly little pot of rich chocolate with a caramel base and crunchy honeycomb crisp on top. I was so full I couldn't finish it but my husband finished his and then mine. We also ordered a little affogato and it was perfect to finish the meal. I will absolutely be back and look forward to trying their other restaurants in the near future!!!

Overall there are 5 courses and took about 2 hours. Overall the food was very good except the entree. The spinach was extremely salty and unfortunately every time i or my group took a bite of spinach it was off putting. I was able to eat the portions not touch by the spinach but it was so salty spinach was inedible. The best thing of the night was this spinach pasta dish with pumpkin. I would just go back for that.
