One of the worst places I have lived and I have lived at 3 different places in the Charlotte/metro area. The residents are overwhelming the same "culture" let's put it that way. Every night I hear thumping of music from SUVs, every day I hear children running and screaming. About once or twice a month I hear women yelling at each other in the parking lots. Every night I hear motorcycles revving and being extremely loud. To put this in perspective I used to live in college-type apartments with college students and they were never as loud as the residents that live here. The staff is utterly incompetent and answers only to their select residents they are friends with. They treat residents like they are sub-IQ and if you ever have an issue with something they will put it off until the last minute. They cut you off when speaking on the phone and they never fully answer any questions you have. The residents here are the worst problem, I cannot even drive through the parking lot without someone almost side swiping me going 60+ mph. I've had multiple occasions where people have almost hit me, and one occasion where a lady did hit my vehicle going extremely fast. I have also had multiple instances where authorities have been involved due to false claims by a single minority resident. I have had claims that I own a dog making noise (which I do not own a dog, it is clear on my lease agreement). It is clear they are on the side of certain individuals and stick up for their own class of people. I have also had an instance where people were putting notes on doors making assault claims for someone leaving an empty soda on the floor. People have admitted to doing this yet no punishments at all for the ones that did this. People smoke marijuana constantly and that is the main smell you will get used to smelling. Police constantly patrol and are constantly called out for various things. The maintenance staff is also incompetent. You have to practically beg them to do ANYTHING. I have filed over a dozen requests for work to be done which was never done by the previous tenant. I had to file a request to have my shower cauked which should be routine maintenance. They are also extremely nosy and ask questions about your business which is very unprofessional. This is NOT a kid friendly place, this is NOT a safe place, I feel threatened living here. read more

We are moving out as soon as we can. At first, we enjoyed the property. The pool is very nice as is the club house. The actual apartment is very nice. It is in a convenient location. Unfortunately the property is located across the street from a lesser quality ( subsidized option) complex. It draws an interesting crowd. Many times you will see sketchy looking people roaming around the street in front of the complex. It reminds me of an inner city street corner on some nights. We did not realize this before choosing to live here. We have two trashy neighbors- one apartment who fights constantly (then has loud sex) and one that has proven drug activity- we had to call 911 for the ambulance because she was hallucinating and knocking on our door for help. There have been multiple car break ins, and a stolen vehicle in the parking lot. There was also an armed attempted robbery. The office only informed us of the car break ins- not of the other instances! The good thing is fellow neighbors do have each others back and spread the news on things like this. People from the neighboring complex also try to utilize our amenities because they don't have any. Now we know why the management doesn't live here. I am afraid going to/from my car at night!!! Also- there is no assigned visitor parking, just "parking." So visitors are always parked in the close spots, especially at night. Very irritating when you're trying to carry things in from your car!!! read more

The floors are thin here, but it's still nice to look at. I thoroughly remember the hell I had to ensure from my fighting neighbors upstairs, which I'm almost sure they were a couple WWF matches going on. I complained and they did write the tenants a note, that didn't stop them. I got no peace until they moved out. Having my children awaken on Saturday morning because of the loudest thumping, bumping and screaming match was hell-ish. The downstairs neighbors had to endure the same on some scale from my apartments. I had a two year old and a 10 year old and they repeatedly beat on my floor with whatever to let me know they could hear me. The sounds carries like a freight train here. So I understood, but it was still quite rude of them to beat after a two year old. I moved because I would not renew in this place where I had to endure such neighbors. I moved out on 9/10 and on 9/11 I found out they reported me to the creditors for a balance. WHO DOES THAT? What happened to giving people 30 days to clear out a balance. I found out about it two weeks after I moved out and called to ask if there was a balance. I was told that I needed to go through the collection agency, seriously?!?! Who doesn't take a money order for the full balance in person? I'm very sure the collection agency didn't pay full price for the debt. I think they just wanted to hurt my credit to be honest. They reported it way too fast, it's just unheard of. Like, they went through assessed the damage and reported it the same day. I made the biggest mistake of my life living here, it was by far the worst overall experience I've ever had in apartment living. They are very nice to look at, but that's it. And hopefully you don't have to encounter some of the rubbish going on across the street. Only stay here if you have no other choice. read more

First I'd like to say that The Reserve At Stone Hollow was giving rent credits to people who leave positive reviews of the complex. I'm not one to be bribed, but I'd like to make others that haven't lived here aware of all the sudden positive reviews of this place. I'd also like to say that I agree with most of what the first commenter Katie has said about this place. I'm going to go over both the pros and cons of these apartments. I'll start with the positive side of things. It's in a great location, and by that I mean it's convenient to I-85, walmart, fast food, and shopping etc. Depending on where you live in the apartments there are still some nature views for those of us who don't entirely like the city look. If you have dogs they seem to be a very dog friendly community, more so than kids at times. Management and staff are friendly and helpful for the most part. Never had any issues with them personally. The apartments also offer a nice pool area that was recently updated. On to the negatives. To start off I have two elementary aged children, before moving here I wish I had done more research on the local public school because it is beyond an awful school and is the primary reason why I will be leaving these apartments in two months. Next is the apartment complex across the street which does house some section 8 living. I wish I had known this before moving here, but being new to the area I've learned my lesson. Sometimes the unattended children will be in the middle of the road or walking in the road when there are clearly sidewalks on both sides of the street. Also as stated as a pro they love dogs here and it was very apparent when they built a dog park before a playground. There is nowhere for kids to play besides the pool area so I have to drive to a park just for them to get some outside time. Also sometimes the loud rap music at late hours gets kind of annoying, but you get what you pay for. I can also say that my car has personally been broken into while living here by juvenile delinquents in the middle of the night. Fortunately the cops caught the kids in the act and they were arrested, but others haven't been so lucky. read more

I enjoyed my stay. Liz in the office is super friendly and helpful! The maintenance staff is friendly and always available. The landscaping is beautiful and the complex is well kept. The pool is nice and the gym is okay. The apartments are clean and well maintained. It's nice because they come with a washer and dryer. It's conveniently located right outside of concord mills area. It's a nice neighborhood other than the subsidized housing close by. My only complaint with the structure is the cool air coming in under the bathroom cabinets in the winter and freezes the sink water. Pet friendly. Could use a kid park. read more

I love this place. We live on the third floor and never have issues with it being too loud. One time our AC went out at 11:30pm and they came at midnight that same night to fix it!! Also love the pool. :) read more

Reserve at Stone Hollow - Valentines Day of beauty at Reserve :) - Apartments Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in these apartments. The staff has always been more than helpful, the apartments are huge and have many upgrades you just don't see in other apartments in Charlotte for this price and the amenities are great. The pool is beautiful, the club house is inviting and they've just added a grill island next to the pool and this great doggy park with obstacles. Yes, the apartments across the street are offered at a lower price and when you look at them you can tell they've opted to leave out a lot of the small niceties that you find at Reserve at Stone Hollow. Because of this there are a lot of families and others that are looking for more affordable housing. And I did have my car windows broken out a month after moving in... however, inner city street corner? I don't think so. I've lived in a few areas of Charlotte that are full of drug dealers, addicts and prostitutes. This area is nothing compared to what your going to deal with closer to the city. I feel completely safe walking from my car at night, granted I do carry military grade pepper spray, but I've never actually seen anything that looks dangerous. The kids across the street are what some would consider to be ghetto, but it's more of a culture thing, not an actual "the street done me wrong" kind of thing. This is a much better area for the price. It's close to 85 and 485. There are two Harris Teeters about the same distance from here. Concord Mills is within walking distance (1 mile) as are a few of the restaurants. Now that they've fixed the back way in, from Mallard Creek, I hardly ever deal with any traffic coming out here from the city. I also enjoy being able to pay my bill online. I love these apartments and would certainly be staying if other responsibilities weren't calling me to move closer to family. So sad to be leaving... highly recommending to anyone looking for a great community with outstanding staff! read more

"First of all let me say" that the previous post by Alyssa is inaccurate. She obviously can't read because the complex sent an email asking all residents to post their opinions good OR BAD online and they would get a rent credit for their time. I was in the office today speaking to one of the girls trying to figure out how to post a review on google and after helping me she said maybe it was a bad idea that they asked the residents for their opinion because someone posted that they were bribing people. Now I have been here for almost 2 years and never had an issue that wasn't resolved immediately. I always said I would post something online but just couldn't find the time but honestly, the complex deserves a good review. I have never lived at an apartment where the office staff ever remembered who I was and these girls seem to know everyone's name and are always helpful. I can go in and chat with them at any given moment and they always have the time to talk. I went out of town not long ago and forgot to blow out a candle and they went and did it for me which they didn't have to. I don't have kids so can't comment on the schools but for what the property offers they are priced lower than comparable communities in the area. It is a smaller community so you get to know your neighbors and I have never had a problem with them either. The property across the street does have lower income residents however, I think Reserve staff do a good job of keeping them off site. As far as car break ins, that can happen anywhere. My cars windows were busted out at Concord Mills Mall this past winter but that doesn't mean I will stop shopping there! As for loud rap music, really I would prefer to hear that than hear Alyssa and her BF scream and yell at each other like they live in the projects. It's not the outsiders that make it bad here, it's people like you. In case you're wondering, I am the one that complained about you and the guy you were screaming at. You seem so concerned about a place being kid friendly yet I see you every morning speeding through the parking lot in your loud demon car. But enough about you.... Overall I give the community 3 stars, only because parking is tight and the traffic for this location can be difficult to maneuver given the location. Maybe once the construction is completed on the back roads I will give another star. Oh and the maintenance is the best ever!! read more

The Reserve at Stone Hollow is a great place to live. I really can't say enough about it!! The apartments are new, modern and spacious. The price is good compared to other neighboring apartment complexes. The amenities are superb. The pool area has been remodeled with a beautiful fire place, Gas grills and a bar. The landscaping is top notch and the grounds are impeccable. Pets are welcome and there is even a gated dog park! The Onsite Managers Susan and Liz are professional, friendly and welcoming. I have lived her for a little over 6 months. It is very convenient to Concord Mills, and is the center of all the great areas of Charlotte and Lake Norman. The maintenance and office staff are great and very dependable. They are very accommodating with dogs and the only negative would be that the walls feel thin at times. I have lived here for a year, and I have really enjoyed it. We looked at many places before we moved in here, and we couldn't find any other complexes that offered such great amenities for such as great price. The apartments are very spacious and updated. They recently made some changes to the pool area that look great. They also put in a dog park which our dog loves to go to. The staff here is always willing to help. If there is ever a maintenance problem, it is fixed within 24 hours. The complex is very close to many restaurants, shopping areas, and the 85 which is great. I recommend these apartments to anyone looking to move to this area! read more

I have lived at the Reserve at Stone Hollow for almost three years. Before I moved there, I was living in a different complex, but my boyfriend lived there. It used to be so nice on top of the fact that it was convenient to Concord Mills and other places. The management used to also be great. The only thing that has remained consistent is great service men. The maintenance staff is really really good, and they always come quick and handle the job. Once the manager went out on maternity leave, this place turned into a circus. Not only are calls not answered, but emails are not returned. My neighbors (either above or beside me) has roaches, and I had two instances where I saw a roach coming from the vent, and on the ceiling. I immediately reported it, and there has been no response. I have even followed up. No response. Yet there is an addendum in the lease regarding pest control. Not only that, my carpet was poorly put down, and therefore began to come apart. At first, they tried to tell me that it was my dog. Absolutely not. It was torn at the seam in a straight line in the living room, and where the hallway leads into other rooms. NOT IMPRESSED. I keep my carpet vacuumed and steam vacuum every couple of months. Well, I went over one spot, and it came up. It was like pulling teeth, and sacrificing your first born, to get them to come fix it. When they did, they sent a gentleman and his wife that spoke NO ENGLISH, so it was hard to explain the situation. He cut out that section of the carpet and replaced it. So Not only did it happen, but now I had a "patch" to show for it. I was told to be careful because it could happen again. I have been careful, but like any high traffic area....it is prone to wear. It started to come apart again, and came up. I called and told them what happened, and they told me it would be $95.00 for me to fix it....for ME to fix it because they patched it once. I was livid. Also, the portal was down last month, and I paid my rent. I emailed the Assistant Manager about it when I realized the money had not come out of my account. He responded and said that it had cleared, so I was expecting it to be taken out. A few days later, I got a late notice, and had an EXTRA fee to pay. I emailed him, and he was not at all pleasant, and told me that sometimes the system does not clear, and gives you a number to call. If you do not call it, then you are still responsible for the late fee. Mind you, I have been a resident for almost three years, and have NEVER had this happen. I went ahead and paid it, and just added it to the file with my attorney. Wouldn't you know that the portal is "down" this month. To top it all off, one of the things that started the downward spiral. Last year, I had a miscarriage. I had been in the hospital, and my best friend came up to visit to help with getting back home and getting around. The BRAND NEW visitor pass system was implemented. So her tag was in the car...AND VISIBLE, but was not hanging. THEY TOWED HER CAR. I spoke with the manager and the property manager and told them the situation and they WOULD NOT remedy it. Yet, they changed the parking policy immediately after, to no more towing. They are shady scammers, who care nothing about their residents. It is all about the dollar to them. That is clear by the way the community has gone downhill. There have been multiple break ins, cars stolen, catalytic converters stolen, drug users allowed, filth and roaches allowed, etc. But they do give residents perks for writing a good review. USE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. DO NOT MOVE HERE. It looks great, and the apartments are pretty good, but it goes downhill very very fast. The new residents that are coming in, and the residents across the street make it seem a bit like the projects. This was not the nice community that I moved into years ago. It has seen multiple changes in assistant managers and a huge decrease in resident service and concern. They do not even notify us when one of the things listed above happens. They are sneaky. They want your money and will talk the talk to get you in, and then you're SCREWED. Don't do it. read more

The Reserve at Stone Hollow is an excellent community to live in! We love the location in North Charlotte! It's conveniently located minutes from both I-77 and I-85. It is also located half a mile from Concord Mills mall with access to great shopping and restaurants. However, we love our privacy, too. The Reserve offers just that. It is a quiet residential community surrounded by beautiful trees. You would never know that you're in the "city" of Charlotte! Most residents are young adult professionals (non-college students), which makes for an even quieter, respectful community. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet, too, and has a great trail for running or walking our dog. The Reserve is also pet-friendly, and we absolutely love this aspect! A dog park recently opened up at The Reserve, and our pup loves to play with her neighbor dogs! The gym is small, but rarely crowded; and the pool and grilling station is a lovely, relaxing amenity as well. Both the office staff and maintenance staff are super friendly and somehow they know every resident by name! We have lived here for more than a year and plan to stay for a while. I would recommend The Reserve at Stone Hollow to anyone who's looking for a quiet, private, residential community. read more

The outstanding thing about this apartment complex is their customer service Community Manger, Adam. I moved into an apartment without physically seeing it (bad decision on my part) located on the bottom floor facing the woods. It was a good location, very quiet, but the previous owner was a smoker and apparently had a cat (even thought it was not recorded with office) so the apartment had really bad odors which smelled like a mix of smoke, pet detergent/cat piss, and musty (humid/moldy). I am ultra sensitive to smells and it was too overbearing. When it rained, the front door area would be all wet and the door mat would stay wet for a few days because there was no sunlight and all the water from above levels would drip down. I have eczema pretty bad, so all the odors and dampness was an issue for me. Adam suggested to bomb the apartment to alleviate the odor but I decided against it because I knew it would eventually return and did not want to deal with the lingering toxins. I was able to transfer to another apartment on another floor and the process was very smooth and now I am 100% happy. Adam was incredibly considerate and responsive to providing the best customer service. I am giving 4 stars because there is no recycling. read more

I have shopping mall, Lowe's, Dunkin donut, Auto Bell car wash, gated pet pet park, pool surrounded by grills and sitting area. It's like vacationing at a nice resort. Wow.., what a mix of reviews. I have to be honest I thoroughly reviewed and looked into the community before renting here. We have been here since November and I agree there are definitely pros and cons. Lets start off with the good. It is beautiful scenery, great amenities and good location.The office personal are friendly and always very helpful! The apartments are good size, spacious and very nice for the price. Overall I have been very happy. I felt safe (until I have read some previous reviews) Now for the cons..., I knew about the apartments across the streets but they do work really hard at keeping the properties separate. I also think we need a gate or some sort of security to separate the two properties better. School do suck (I knew this moving in) but I am blessed for mine going to a private school. All in all I have enjoyed being here and would recommend it! read more

I currently live at Stone Hollow Reserve In no way I would recommend this apartment complex. Especially for someone working from home. I have been complaining about the loud music coming from my neighbour downstairs I have complained several times of the past three months and the office as well as I sent an email to management and to no avail. I have had it and gave my notice to move. It's not worth it when it jeopardizes your livelihood. If you work from home this is not the place for you and management will not help. On another note as well I was in the hospital for one week we paid our rent on line without sending an email or place notices on the door informing that the portal does not work( and I did not see the notice they stick on the mailbox because I was in the hospital) only to find a notice on my door I went to the office spoke to Mark who told me the portal was down and they put signs on the mailbox. Well really no notification via email at least I could check that in the hospital. I ended up pay the late fees ...oh well you don't want to live here....You pay for trash pick up and they don't pick it up that recently rectify that. Good luck read more
