I've been here for a little over a year and the only issue I've had is with neighbors and the front office. My neighbors have gotten upset with me for recording and taking pics of the scenery on my balcony and threw very disturbing items on my balcony. Curtains, a white paper towel and a rope as if they were trying to send a racist message. The balconies (depending on where you live) are very close together and if you are at the end of your balcony taking pics or recording and your neighbor has their blinds open, they will get upset with you even though you ain't paying them no mind. Smh.. If I was considerate of my neighbors, I would just close my blinds. After all... that's why we have them. Unfortunately, some people are just mean and racist. They also called and complained about noise once from my apartment. We were out on the balcony that night, 3 people using our "outside voices". The office staff is never the same. So many people have come and gone which makes it very disheartening to go in there at times and most of them have not been very polite. Ben is the only consistent and polite person that I have encountered that makes this place feel like HOME. The concierge has always been very pleasant and helpful and always makes it feel like HOME. I've had a few maintenance issues, but they were all resolved. I'm not a complainer and I understand with an apartment community, things will break and need fixing, you may hear neighbors if the walls are thin or you're out on your balcony and since it's uptown Charlotte "NOISE" is inevitable. So; overall the Vue is a great place to live other than occasional mean neighbors or mean front office staff. read more

I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the The Vue Charlotte recently. Whoa! What a gorgeous building with stunning apartment homes & views (I mean Vues ;) ! Ms. Bennett's professionalism and genuine enthusiasm for the property shows that she not only takes her role seriously but goes the extra mile to make sure she understands your needs. 10 out of 10 highly recommend The Vue. Angela and I enjoy living at The Vue. We've been here for about a year-and-a-half, and find that we didn't just change apartments, we changed lifestyles. Other places may talk about "community," but at The Vue they practice it. From the barista bar in the morning to the SkyLounge on weekend nights we spend time with our neighbors. There's always an event, or meet at the gym or sauna. And I have to mention the staff. The office staff, concierges and maintenance staffs (employees, not 3rd party) are part of the community. Maintenance has been especially helpful. Any time we've needed something they have been right there. They are experienced, knowledgeable and very solution driven. Thanks Sam! Community management team is non existent. Issue after issue after issue. Was charged $50 for a cardboard box and was told after I submitted a work order almost two weeks ago for my dryer, disposal, broiler, lights and blinds not being operational that it's in the lease that the team will not provide any rent concession. Amenities that are advertised frequently do not work. Golf simulator was broken for months. Garage gate was broken for months. Handicap accessible door has been broken for 6 months. Sauna and steam room are constantly out of order. Basketball courts had broken rims that were not repaired. Elevators frequently go out and had a few months span where only one worked. Gym equipment is constantly broken. Grills on the outdoor patio are constantly not working. Way too many issues and zero community support from management. Not what you would expect when you pay $50k a year... read more

I have lived in a few "luxury high rises" in the Charlotte area and many, especially the last one, was far short of that title.. Not the VUE. After a month of living here I have not had even a single negative interaction with any of the staff or residents. This is the first building I've lived in that actually lives up to the hype. It's not surprising that many of the people from my old building now live here. The concierge staff ( Brittnee, Miguel, James, and Ben) are nothing short of stellar. They assist in literally anything I need and are incredibly pleasant to speak with and interact with on a daily basis. Jada, the barista that manages the coffee bar is awesome, the coffee is delicious, and the people that hangout there are amazing. The restaurant downstairs, that is apparently also managed by the same property management company is beautifully done in a speakeasy fashion and is a favorite hangout of many in the. Mark and Katy make the drinks and they are fantastic. Everyone that goes in there is greeted by name and they are incredibly pleasant to speak with and the food is awesome too. The maintenance staff is prompt and very helpful. I have had to put in a few work orders and they typically respond within an hour or two. Then there are the residents - it took me a few days to get used to just how nice everyone that lives here is. Everyone says "have nice day" or expresses a sincere interest in being your neighbor. Its wild. I am not a overly positive person, but I just can't say enough about my experiences here thus far. Truly, if you have the opportunity to be a member of this community, because that's exactly what it is, you should action on it. I'm mad I waited 3 years to move here, but I'm not leaving anytime soon. Thank you Vue staff - all of you are amazing. read more

Initially, i thought this was a great place however, i quickly learned it was plagued with maintenance issues both throughout the building (elevators, garbage smell in lobby)and in units (no heat or hot water). Maintenance is slow to respond to urgent issues like lack of heat or hot water and communication is severely lacking. Often its not fixed properly the first time or the 2nd time or the 3rd time. I have not had proper heat in my unit and have been reporting it since November - i was told it was because I have a lot of windows (huh?) even though cold air comes out through the vents, then i was told to keep it at 80 which is ridiculous and makes my kitchen a sauna and the other rooms only luke warm anyway. I was told the heater would be replaced by the end of the month (3 days from now) yet I am unable to get a confirmation of when this is actually happening. My utility bills have skyrocketed and I still dont have heat. i am forced to rely on space heaters which is just unacceptable. They tried to tell me I should be ok with these unacceptable conditions because I have some heat even though I pay close to $4k a month for this unit and only 1/3 is usable. it took 6 days to get my hot water fixed in my bathroom and its still not working and my balcony has been a disaster since it was not fixed properly when I first reported it back in sept. I am cold and frustrated and for what I pay i expect the basics like proper heat. despite telling me to run the heat very high (against my wishes) and they would cover the increase in my heating bill they are now reneging on this as well and only giving me $150 when the increase in my bills + the 2 space heaters i purchased amount to $250. My bills were consistently $51-57 the prior months and jumped 2-3.5x based on their guidance. They try to tell me to use the ceiling fans to make it warmer when I have repeatedly told them I have a medical condition that prevents me from having that motion -- AND it would only serve to circulate COLD air. On the positive side the concierge team is very nice and helpful. This all being said, there are alot of newer buildings that you will get alot more for your money and not have to deal with this laundry list of maintenance issues and false promises. read more

I've been here almost 2 years, the Vue is exceptional. After living here for a short time you'll learn the best amenity isn't the pool, the tennis court, the sauna/steam rooms, golf simulator, nor the free barista, it's the concierge. From a friendly welcome to a personal favor, the concierge will manage your inbound/outbound packages, let up guests and food delivery drivers, turn off your oven when you're not home, and provide a safe environment to live. The VUE Charlotte - 50th Floor Sky Lounge - Apartments Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Many aspects of this building are great; however, you'll notice that small details are off in every corner. One floor, I want to say it was the 33rd, wreaked of garbage and all those gross things. The tour guide would not stop talking (strategy) so as to not allow anyone to ask a question politely. When asked the questions that most reviewers complain about, I received nothing but generic, rehearsed answers that equated to this simple statement: We would never do that, but we might if it got out of hand. Sound confusing? That's because it is. The truth is that the management and developer spent way too much on the building in a market where people aren't going to pay this much because there are so many better options. If you're going to pay $4,200/month, why not buy a townhouse with its own back yard and garage? The building sells on only one key point: Its sheer height. Let's face it, North Carolina isn't exactly home to many tower. Many people will be impressed by this singular feature and overlook the details. If you know the term "illusion of value", this building is one of the poster children of it. The units themselves are pretty small and cramped. This is better as a temporary living situation as you'll outgrow the storage space in a month! This is America after all, and last time I checked, we like to keep more than a singe box of pasta and a gallon of water in our pantries. Oh, wait, most floorplans don't even have a pantry! Silly me. And those cheap vertical blinds? Seriously. Those things are so cheap and so tacky. They look especially tacky in the loft units. Whenever you see a property management company slap those up... it's a sign that the property is just being used/milked for revenue until they figure out what to do next. For this price point, there should be a double roll of blinds (blackout and sheer) in the bedrooms and a single roll (sheer) in all other rooms. In more mature markets with many towers (Miami or Tampa, for example) these sort of blinds are standard. Also, in this day and age if you're paying a premium price, at least the kitchens should have a tile backsplash! Okay, enough about this place and its poor execution. Don't get taken by the glitz during the tour of the common spaces--you won't be living in the piano lounge or Sky Lounge. Charlotte: Keep being sensible and don't pay these prices!!! read more

The Vue has been such an amazing experience for me, my boyfriend and our two fur babies! Gina at leasing has been nothing but accommodating. Gina squeezed us into her schedule, was extremely knowledgeable about The Vue, the area and competing apartments that we didn't feel the need to tour anywhere else and signed that day. The whole staff is awesome, complex is always clean, and our favorite is the on-site barista since we are coffee snobs! Originally planned to stay here one year but since we moved in we both said this place is going to be way to hard to leave! read more

The building is old and every appliance is breaking and there are delays in fixing them. The elevators are constantly breaking down and your end up squished together with covid and flu. The 8th floor has grills and cockroaches! Look for a new building. read more

Sadly the only thing I enjoyed about this building was literally the view. The cheap plastic blinds coupled with the frat parties at the pool, dirty carpet from people dragging their trash to the trash room was enough to leave after lease ended. We had an amazing oversized balcony, but sadly people from the floors above us would throw beer cans and cigarettes off their balcony and ours would collect all the trash from that side of the building. We had a beautiful lounge set, but sadly was ruined after someone watering their plants from above dripped dirt water onto the furniture and cigarette ash all over. The pet area on the top level of the parking deck was disgusting. Poor clean up. Even if it was raining and cold I would not bring my dog there. So unsanitary. I think it would be fine if you get a regular sized balcony and I'm sure the pool is great if you don't have terrible social anxiety. read more

The Vue is meant to impress, but it's all smoke and mirrors, folks. I've never thought I would be paying more than $2K for an apartment in Charlotte and deal with things like dogs' pee/poop in and near the elevators, water flowing from the ceiling when it's raining outside, people throwing cigarette butts off of their balconies, loud neighbors and so forth. The troubles started literally when we moved in. The apartment had not been prepared for us judging by the sponge stuck in garbage disposal and the fact that the batteries in the smoke detectors had not been replaced. One by one the batteries would run out of juice and the awful kind of beeping would start at odd hours of day and night. And thanks to Vue's fancy tall ceilings, you can't reach and replace the batteries yourself unless you play center on the Charlotte Hornets. The situation did not get better over our year-long stay there. We originally planned to stay longer, but could not wait to get out of there at the end of our lease. Over the course of the year, there were at least 4 water shut-offs. Honestly, I don't remember this many water outages since my childhood in Soviet Russia. If you unfortunately choose your unit to be in the corner of the building facing north I sure hope you don't mind that active heavy train going by and honking into your bedroom at night. The Vue's garage is pretty tight so get ready for your car getting swiped or scratched or dented or all of the above. That being said and in stark contrast to our experience living there, the people working at the Vue are all nice people. I am writing this review in an endeavor to help those who are looking for high-end, luxury accommodations in Charlotte. We moved from LA and OC, where most recently, we were living in the penthouse of a high-rise, luxury building in OC. Having lived in Charlotte at the VUE for about 3.5 months, I can definitely say that if you are looking for posh, secure, pet-friendly, prime Uptown location living accomodations, the VUE is, far and above, your best option when it comes to rentals. We made two different trips to Charlotte and literally visited nearly every new building in Charlotte, along with any condos or homes for rent in the $4000/month+ range before selecting the VUE. We looked at the penthouse at the VUE and although there is about 3600 square feet, it was too large for us (two professionals with no children), the floorplan wasn't very open (from the kitchen, you have an obstructed city view), and the available finishes were too traditional for our taste. We decided to go with a three-bedroom unit on the 41st floor, which was the highest floor available at the time. Excellent staff. First and foremost, the building manager, Hali Eplin, is an absolute delight. From the pre-leasing process through the actual move-in, Hali was extremely accessible, informative, and bent over backwards to accommodate us. It is evident that Hali takes great pride in managing the building, and she does so like a well-oiled machine. Additionally, the leasing, maintenance, and concierge staff have all been extremely prompt, courteous, and to the extent possible, very flexible. Layout. Our unit is a corner unit and has floor-to-ceiling glass in every room, featuring the amazing views in day and nighttime. Although we came from a 2400-square-foot penthouse to an approximately 2100-square-foot unit, the space utilization is maximized in our floorplan. We actually are able to fit more furniture into our place at the VUE. There is ample storage space from the extra closets (in addition to a coat closet, there is a large closet outside of the third bedroom), to the large laundry room, to the opulent tiger cabinets in the kitchen, to the built-ins in each closet. Our unit has long balconies in both the master bedroom and the great room. Finishes. The finishes, although not quite modern and are more on the side of traditional contemporary but still very high-end. Most of the appliances are Thermador (more about this later), the countertops and backsplashes are granite, the bathrooms have travertine countertops, oversized jetted jacuzzis, the master shower is huge, with built-in vertical sprayers, the sinks are either flush mounted or raised (in the master), and there is even a built-in wine fridge. Safety. The very helpful and friendly concierge staff is available 24/7 and only allows permitted guests access to the building. Convenience. You can pay rent, submit maintenance requests, allow guest access and reach out to the entire VUE community online. The concierge is stellar about timely package notifications, which are emailed to you and also listed online in the daily VUE updates that residents receive. Guests also receive complimentary parking validation, which is a huge bonus in a downtown location, where a plethora of bars and restaurants are within walking distance. In the building, there is a notary public, a car wash, and cleaning service available. Amenities. * Rooftop pool * Rooftop tennis courts/basketball courts * Pet areas: there are 2, one inside the garage and one on the rooftop * Gym: There is a free weight area, machines, and a yoga room. There are complimentary yoga and circuit classes every weeknight for residents. * Barista: There is an actual onsite barista every morning, brewing complimentary coffee for residents. * Lounges: There are two lounges: one on the 8th floor and one on the 50th floor. They are very modern, whimsical and have a very club-like vibe; there is also a cyber cafe for business use. * 50th floor. The 50th floor is nothing short of stunning when it comes to 360-degree views of the city. There is a piano, two demonstration kitchens, a conference room, a poker room, and small living room areas for hosting guests. Now the cons: * The horrible antiquated vertical blinds in every room instead of draw-down semi-transparent shades * Thermador appliances are high maintenance and break down often * The wine fridge does not really cool very well * Low water pressure in the showers * Ventless Bosch washer/dryers that take forever (at least 2 hours) to dry to a slightly damp condition * AT&T Uverse sucks * Parking stalls are small; not assigned; and are often unsecured Overall, the pros outweigh the cons and the VUE is, by far, the best option if you're looking for high-end, luxury living in Charlotte and want to be in the middle of all the action. read more

I have lived in numerous cities across the country, and the Vue made my move to Charlotte as seamless and comfortable as possible. I would love to have stayed there, but unfortunately had to move back home with my parents because of my job loss due to covid. I have never stayed in a building as safe, luxurious, and a strong sense of community feel. The communal areas and gym are outstanding, and moving to a city where I knew no one, this helped me meet people and get connected quickly. There is 24/7 staff and security, and I can't reiterate how wonderful it is to know that all packages and mail are taken to the mailroom (living in New York City, these small details become extremely difficult!). For anyone who is moving to Charlotte for a job or because it is a truly a great place to be, I HIGHLY reccomend this building. The staff, amenities, comfort is unmatched! read more

If you are thinking of renting at the Vue, ask management what they will be doing if you have neighbors who are excessively noisy and interferes with your peaceful enjoyment. I have lived here for over 8 years, and until recently been very satisfied. Over the past 3 months the noise from my neighbors have made by apartment inhabitable and I have to change my lifestyle because the management team is ineffective? I have been complaining and documenting the excessively loud music noise next door for over 3 months of complaining with videos/sound. I have talked to nwrcares - the corporate customer service hotline.  Since I started complaining, this is what I know about what management has done. NWRcares tells me that I can spend an additional $14,000 in rent to move to a more expensive apartment and have my problem go away.  Of course anyone who moves into my apartment will continue to hear the loud noise. I have asked management if they would waive the fees for termination of my lease - I never received back an answer until today - they won't waive the thousands of dollars for me to move. NOTE: REALIZE THE NEXT PEOPLE WHO MOVE INTO MY APARTMENT WILL CONTINUE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE NOISE. I have been told to call the police.  I refuse to take our police away from fighting real crime because Northwood Ravin refuses to effectively address the problem.  The concierge could call the police - but they haven't. I continue to complain - yet after I complained last night - the noise got louder. I have been patient with this problem for more than 3 months.  I have been the squeaky wheel and complain to management over and over again.  I have done what the management team and nwrcares has told me to do.  This has frustrated me - and I don't know what else to do except write this review. Maybe if you ask the management team what they are going to do before you sign a lease, then maybe they can become more effective in addressing these types of problems. read more

The people at the front desk were nice while we were there and everything gets maintained pretty well. BEWARE! The blaring train will keep you up all hours of the night. Oh they'll raise your rent on you. And also be careful trying to leave! They do no accommodate well and will charge you your first born just to get out of your lease.
