Also, if you look closely at the furniture in common areas, painting on the walls, drapes, rugs they are dated, not very clean- really pretty terrible! The maintenance staff is nice and the apartment office is relatively nice, but in terms of quality of the building and living areas, this is why it gets a ONE STAR rating! Only reason I renewed a short term lease is because it was too much time and effort to move! There are far newer and nicer apartments in Southend for sure!

The complex has grills in all of the courtyards so you shouldn't ever have to wait on a grill if your in the mood for grilling. The gym is state of the art with every piece of equipment you could imagine. The amenities here are second to none. The rent is unbelievably cheap compared to places nearby. I also like that it is really quite here and there doesn't seem to be a bunch of partying going on. The leasing staff is super friendly and they always remember my name which is nice. I can only say I am surprised by some reviews, but if you are looking for an apartment for a limited period, or extended, call them. Just a few things I will highlight: Rooftop Pool, Saturday morning brunches for residents only, from Reid's, Krispie Kreme, The Flying Biscuit and others, including some amazing coffee food trucks. Unfortunately, I can't give this community more than 2 stars because of my experiences of late and an ongoing one where it was implied I was the cause of the trash vendor's behavior. I'd posted a review to Apartments.com using their job role not names, but it was rejected. So much for that site's impartiality.

From both elevators being down for several months to broken parking entrances being left open, in-turn causing various security issues. I won't even start to mention the outrageous trash valet/additional cost for removal fees. There are a couple of pros including the Uptown views and the exposed ductwork at least. I understand that this is an old building and things break but the management has to be better with taking care of the building and alerting residence when these problems occur. We pay a premium to live in Uptown, but the value and service is just not in line with any other neighboring apartment complex.

There's always been plenty of parking options and the guest parking policy can't be beat in the area (that was major for me when I was looking because I have people visit from out of town quite often) -The maintenance staff have been some of the quickest I've ever come across. Every time I've ever had a maintenance request, (there's nothing that has ever been majorly wrong, it's usually just been a lightbulb or a window shade or something small) within a day or two these things are fixed. -Last, but not least, is the staff. The people that work in the building have got to be some of the nicest people I have ever come across. Anytime I've ever come to them with a question I'm constantly greeted with an overwhelming sense of being more like family then just a resident. Living here is a 10/10. The staff in the leasing office are the most amazing people. Sarah and Jamie will always take care of you and make sure you are comfortable. They will know you by name and will genuinely care about what's going on with you. During COVID my hours were cut and they worked with me and I'm forever grateful for that. The grounds are kept clean and Maintenance staff are amazing as well.
