The second stay was the same except I was assigned a room that smelled like cooking grease. The previous occupant cooked in the room and it was not remediated. The third stay was similar, but the WiFi was terrible. They did away with password protection on the WiFi and everyone in the neighborhood was using it. It could be the perfect place to stay if the corporation that runs it paid more attention to details. Also, their quoted rate online is dishonest and they should be sued by the FTC and California AG. I've been surprised by $21 per night of additional fees for the past two stays.

They have a water refill station in the gym which was convenient. The only downside was the noise. We were on first floor and the people above us were not light on their feet. It could be the age of building but I'd highly suggest asking for higher floor if able. We would choose this location again for said reasons.

Alex delivered such exceptional service and was so sweet. We asked about check out, it's really quick and easy no hassle. He asked if we wanted to do a late check out we can. It was really kind of him to do so. We informed him we would be out before even check out but appreciate it the offer. Alex also started us on their reward program and informed us how it works and gave us a discount if we like to dine in or order room service. Now in days is hard to find people that are genuine and overall deliver good customer service. We're very satisfied with Alex's help and I definitely recommend you staying here. Said he would give some money back and while moving my stuff out we saw him on the phone with the manager. Then they said it had to be inspected before giving money back. We both ended up calling the cops. They went to the room with us to get a better video and so they could see what the fuss was about. Left and came back the next day. That night we slept in the car and first thing in the morning I was at the laundromat. Washing EVERYTHING and cleaning out the car. Whole body itching. Another guy (young) behind the counter told us we put the blood on the mattress. It was there for months or longer. Mind you, the first few days I straightened up so the cleaning people didn't come in the room. We finally had them come in and that's when we saw the bedbugs. Which means it had to have came from the carts, another room or the laundry room. As he was blaming us the maid that cleaned the room over heard us and said she told him about the mattress a while ago and we didn't do it. He was standing there looking stupid. You would think places no matter how cheap would take pride in a business and be on top of things like this. But nope, some people are ok paying to share a space with bugs that could make your life hell. I'll NEVER go back. It gave me the IIIIKKKK. Should have read the reviews first. DONT STAY HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE. UNLESS YOU WANT TO TAKE SOMETHING HOME WITH YOU. THIS PLACE IS NOT UP TO CODE. Just pay the extra to be somewhere clean and safe.

However, the elevator coming down can be very slow, especially if on a high floor. The room was clean and spacious, and had a beautiful view. Housekeeping was very present in the hotel. I saw multiple housekeepers on one hallway, and the overall cleanliness showed. They also offer stay over service, which is appreciated. On the downside the TV was very outdated no smart features, just basic cable. Also for the price the hotel, it's lacking amenities. There is no pool or hot tub just a gym, which is disappointing for this price point. Overall, it was a great stay, especially for the convenient location. There are definitely areas of improvement, considering the cost.

This is one of the only NICE motels In all of this area PLUS the LA area that still have smoking rooms!... Well that I could find at least, and I did a lot of research! So check in went smoothly, the guy working the front desk that day was quite and reserved, but friendly. Reception area was small but very clean and modern looking. 218 was the room we were given. Upon walking in, it was a little stuffed and had a odd aroma, Nothing too horrible and nothing that a little airing out couldn't fix. Everything was very very clean!! Carpet even looked and felt new! Our bed was super soft and fluffy. Bathroom was spotless, Had new curtains in every window, and new lamps on every table, little closet area with hangers, very impressed with how well they keep these rooms up! Room comes with a microwave, little fridge blow dryer, ironing board and all the little complimentary toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and little hand soap bars... Spotless towels and bed sheets, spectrum cable TV, super powerful AC That takes a minute to get to its full power but once it does it keeps the room very chill. A pool and jacuzzi! Even though the pool is only 4 and 1/2 ft deep lol. And the jacuzzi doesn't have no Jets to turn on, but it is very warm! Only one Ice machine though, which didn't work a couple times we tried using it, like it was out of ice or something. Wifi works But it's slow and it cuts off a lot. And they need a better TV guide for their cable stations So you can pick a channel you want to watch without having to scroll through every single one blindly. But these negatives are all minor in my opinion. Every morning in the reception area, there is fresh coffee, oatmeal packets, and what looked to be like homemade muffins!! They were the best tasting muffins I have honestly ever tried! lol (try the blueberry ones!!) Plus I noticed croissants too! Also looking homemade! The second day that we were there they did have a little construction going on The side street next to the motel, starting at like 7:00 a.m. and at one point it was rattling the building, But we were heading out for the day at that time so it wasn't that bothersome to us, plus you got to figure it's not a constant thing because they were doing construction on the street next to the motel. Check out Is at 11:00 a.m. and it was also a breeze, had a different guy checking us out handed him the key he asked for the room number and my name and said that was it and we were all done, Got my $100 room deposit back a day and a half later, easy peasy! Plus they have a little burger/ breakfast joint literally 20 ft from the reception office, & many other restaurants around, So you don't got to go far to get some good eating! We very much enjoyed our stay here and next time that we are in the area this is definitely the spot we're choosing again!! Thank you vantage point for the wonderful experience!!

No ants, roaches, fleas, etc. The towels smelled like bleach. The stairwell didn't smell like pee as stairwells are inclined to do. 2) Comfort. A/C worked. Though the shower head was even with my nose, the water was hot, clean, with good pressure. Though the bed was harder than Epstein at a Build-a-Bear, I slept fine, especially with the thin pillows, which I fold around so much at night I end up with a beautiful origami swan in the morning. The room was not cramped. Best of all it had a "wood" floor, so I could walk around barefoot. 3) Customer Service. The dude was friendly. They accommodated my late check-in (9pm) without giving my room away. 4) Wifi. It worked. 5) Other things I liked: coffeemaker, refrigerator, iron/ironing board, free parking. I may have had a microwave, I don't recall. I liked the rolling desk chair, though I doubt the people below me did. A few notes. Noise. I had the last room on a Monday night, and never heard my neighbors, though that might be different on a weekend. Outside, you might hear the cars on the nearby freeway or pneumatic tools from the mechanic next door. Parking. It's free! (yay) But there were only five tight spots in the back that require a 16 point turn to get out. The tenants on the bottom floor parked their cars in front of their room so the lane to the lot is very tight. View. I looked out my window and saw it was going to be a Goodyear. And a Michelin. And a Firestone. Yes, it is a mountain view: a mountain of tires next door. And the intersection traffic. And the freeway a block away. It's probably too expensive for them to plant tall cyprus trees on the border of their property, so maybe they could just paint trees on the window. Location. Well, it's freeway close, that's for sure. It's across the street from a liquor store, which is handy. There's a taco place open past midnight within 400 feet. And a lot of chain fast food restaurants and coffee places are a block down Foothill. Other things to see in beautiful Sylmar, nicknamed the "top of Los Angeles", which got its ironic name for the latin words of forest (silva) and sea (mar): Nethercutt Museum (classic autos and musical instruments), the famous Casades spillway that ends the 340 mile journey of LA Aqueduct water, and the piece of fallen highway from the 1971 earthquake that the Doobie Brothers posed with for their album The Captain and Me. You can watch the Sylmar Hang Gliding Association on Gridley Street near Shimshaw. They have equestian centers and recreation parks. And just a mile from Value Inn is the San Fernando Swap Meet (Th-Sun). Considering this in the adult film capital of the world I have to wonder what they swap there.
