Great hotel, came into town to visit some friends and we stayed here for 2 nights. Room was nice and clean, it had a kitchenette in it. Living room had a pull out couch, a work table and a TV on the wall in the bedroom there was a TV as well. The bathroom had a tub. There was a closet with a mirror as well. Very satisfied with our stay. Check im was easy. Plenty of parking out front, there is a nightly fee for parking. read more

We stayed here a couple weeks ago to attend a nearby concert. Terriann was a wonderful employee and was a pleasure to meet. Our room wasnt ready at 3pm but she gave us some snacks and we waited in the comfortable lobby. We also got to use the pool earlier in the day. The ventilation in the indoor pool wasnt too great and it was a bit muggy. The floors were soaking wet as well. There were also no fresh towels but plenty of wet towels everywhere. Next time id rather stay somewhere with an outdoor pool. The room was lovely and the kitchenette came in handy when we warmed up leftovers from dinner. Overall it was a fine stay. read more

I had a perfect stay at the Residence Inn in Palmdale. I planned a brief hiking trip in Antelope Valley and stayed at this Residence Inn as my homebase. It's the perfect location to plan outdoors adventures from. The hotel is freshly renovated (per May 2019). The decor is warm and has an home feel with harmonious tints of beige, creme and light green. The furniture is sleek and modern - similar to what you may find at an AC Hotel (Marriott's upscale business hotel). I particularly liked the couch in the room that was upholstered in faux suede. A really comfortable hang. The couch also has an easy USB charging area for your all your devices. The Studio room has a nifty corner kitchen that includes a refrigerator, small stove, silverware, plates and mugs plus a coffee maker. Really handy if you stay for an extended period of time. The bed was on the softer side but firm enough for a good sleep. Linen were crisp and with four thick pillows it was super comfy. The television in the room can rotate from the bedroom area to the living room area so pick your spot for a good movie watching experience (Netflix and HBO included). I particularly liked the lighting in the room with several strategically placed lamps around the room. There was always plenty of light but it was never harsh. It really helped create a comfortable atmosphere while I was still able to read a book without a flashlight. The bathroom is very cleverly designed as well with a separate vanity area and a closet across. Service was excellent. I was helped with a smile upon check in and the attendant genuinely seemed excited for me to see the renovations. It's that happy spark and pride that makes a world of difference. In fact, I'm going to consider staying at Residence Inn hotels in other areas if my travel takes me there. It's a fantastic option if you need to stay somewhere clean and comfortable. My family came to Palmdale to attend a family graduation. Excellent customer service by Christian Barrow, the assistant manager! Everyday he sincerely asked about our stay and whether our family needed anything! And when we actually did need something, at the end of our stay regarding our room, he was courtesy and he and Terrance worked to resolve the issue to our satisfaction! We also want to thank TJ, the night audit was also extremely warm, kind and welcoming to me and my family as well! I've had good experiences at this property previously-- not so much this year unfortunately. The rooms smell of pungent freshener and starting to accumulate stains on the carpet. The property is staring to show wear and there needs to be an investment in remodeling the suites- better hurry too, stains, peeling flooring, missing TVs, come on folks we need to do better then this. Two bedroom suites are at a premium and you need to maintain them accordingly. Came into our room and tv in one bedroom was just missing- front desk advised that they were ordering replacements. Yikes... looking a bit run down guys and this is definitely not a Marriott standard for residence inns. Front desk was kind and offered to switch rooms... but, we were tired and just done traveling. I think a better gesture would have been to throw some points my way, or take 10-20 a night off-- The housekeeping is still really solid... the room is always very clean and details matter-- no dust on top of fridge, on the vents, sills, etc... read more

Stay overnight at Residence for one day. I meant to honest people that work at the hotel. I spoke to the front desk Yanelly Solist and told her that I couldn't find my Rolex watch that I left at the room if she could tell the housekeeping to double check for me . The housekeeping manager went to the room and found my watch and return it to the front supervisor . The manager Irma Hillman was so honest to return my watch . First, the disclaimer on the Palmdale reviews I am writing ... We were in Lancaster three times for State Cup this year. Indeed, expectations need to be lowered on all fronts the moment one steps foot into this town; however, there are some basic hospitality concepts that I expect everywhere, especially from a hotel chain. We stayed at this hotel on two different occasions this month. On a positive note, I got an amazing deal on Hotwire the first time around and unlike the hotel we stayed at previously in Palmdale, we enjoyed the "suite" with the kitchen and had more room. Not knowing if we'd win our games the following day, I did not book the discounted Hotwire rate for the following evening. It was a bummer to pay quite a bit more once we confirmed we'd advance but we didn't want to incur the burden of having to move to a different hotel. On this particular occasion, the indoor pool was under construction so we went across the street to the Courtyard Marriott where some of our other teammates were staying and swam there. The complimentary breakfast sufficed for getting coffee, bananas and yogurt. The on-site laundromat was convenient. Ethan at the front desk was lovely. Second stay was not so pleasant. This time I called in advance to see if I could somehow lock in a comparable rate for the second evening - and I would let them know promptly at 10 am when our game ended on whether or not we would need to stay. They were not willing to accommodate us on this request. No flexibility with a repeat patron means I'm not going to have flexibility in turning a blind eye to the shortcomings of this hotel. They're going to renovate, great news! But why in the world would the hotel renovation overlap with State Cup season???? We were on the second floor and had a notice in our room that renovations were beginning on the third floor, from 10 am - 6 pm. It was unbearably loud. Our room had a closet that wouldn't close, a refrigerator that creaked all night long, and on and on and on. This time I felt really ripped off. But it forced us to move on to a different hotel, which ended up being the winner of the three we've experienced this State Cup season. read more

I have been staying at the Residence Inn for years in several cities. This recent stay was not a good one and I will likely choose another hotel chain when away from home. The free breakfast involves the cook monitoring what you are eating. She continuously walks by the tables "greeting" everyone. We are just there to eat and go. Not interesting in socializing with the help. Hanging a "no service today" sign out means just that. For whatever reason don't come in today. We'll someone did under the presence of doing a room service. Pics included to show a sloppily made bed and trash bag full on the floor. The room was nice, plenty of room, clean. When I was there the gym was closed. Parking wasn't great. It's located adjacent to a mall so you can park in their lot. The breakfast was good. It was a bit noisy when we stayed. Everyone was friendly and check in and check out was fast. read more

Very nice hotel. First thing u smell when you go in is chlorine . They have an indoor pool. Clean and tidy. Room is small but great for one night. Andrea at the desk gave us a great welcome. If someone uses the light in their bathroom in an upstairs unit. You will know! The exhuming fan is so loud it woke me. Light in my room didn't work. Hole in sheets. I would have called for replacements which I know would have come quick, but it was 11 pm. And I was so tired. PARKING IS THE WORST i down graded this hotel one star bc of the parking. There is nowhere to park. My child and I had to walk in Palmdale at 1030 at night outside in a strip mall parking lot! As I result I wouldn't want to stay here again, which is a shame as its a nice hotel. I felt for my security and that of my vehicle. The guy at the desk offered to meet me and escort us in for safety but we found a group to walk with. Breakfast Minimal. The staff here are very nice and I mean super sweet. 5/5. If you are planning on staying here over a holiday, on business, or for more than two nights, this is a great idea; we had a one bedroom room/suite for a couple of nights and it was very comfortable and roomy. The suite included a kitchen, desk area, sitting area/living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The kitchen had an electric two burner stove, a full sized refrigerator, and a dishwasher; pots and pans, dishes, and glasses were in the room as well. The room was very clean; the house keeping staff did a good job and even ran the dishwasher for us. The bed and the linens were clean and we had new towels everyday and they didn't wreak of bleach. The carpet was pretty clean, but you can tell it's not brand new. The room fixtures are slightly out-dated, so it's like going back to 1993 in some ways, but everything works, is clean, and gets the job done. The TVs were not from 1993, so that's the main thing (there was a flat screen in the bedroom and in the living room). A nice bonus is the included breakfast in the morning which is actually pretty good; they had fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, and a couple of different hot items each morning along with some baked goods and coffee and juices. Everything was clean in the breakfast area and there was someone working the area the whole time we were sitting in there. Plus, the person working the breakfast area made sure milk was cold, coffee was hot, and spills were cleaned up immediately. Sure, some of the hot items weren't as good as you might get at a sit down restaurant, but the parfaits were just as good as the ones you might pick up in Starbucks. Parking is free and close to the front lobby. We didn't use the pool or anything like that this trip, but it looked like there was a lot to do. The lobby area is actually a nice place to sit during breakfast. And the service is great at the front desk. A great place for families or business folk staying awhile! read more

Be sure to record and have everything in writing because they blatantly lie to your face and go back on their word. They will nickel and dime you to death. No one knows what they are doing and they have self proclaimed "managers." The place is run with roaches and the pungent smell of weed. Oh and they'll tell you, you get a fold out couch it's actually a blow up twin mattress. You get to pay $10 a day for parking yet beat down old cars are littering their parking lot. Over the course of my travels I have stayed in a variety of accommodations. From budget lodging during my college days to 5-star resorts as I have matured (okay seriously, just gotten older). While all these hotels differ in comfort and amenities, there is one aspect that remained consistent. They all honored the reservation I took the time to book ahead of my stay. My one-star review of this Marriott Residence Inn is based on being greeted with a "I'm sorry Mr. XYZ, unfortunately we don't have accommodations tonight as your room was provided to a higher priority guest" when attempting to check-in during a busy weekend where nearly all lodging options were booked due to a large youth soccer tournament being held in Lancaster. Mind you, we were told this after calling in earlier in the morning and receiving confirmation from a staff member that our room was indeed reserved and they were ready for our visit. A normal person would have been fairly upset at this situation, however for us this was a larger issue. When we booked our stay, weeks ahead of our visit, we specifically booked at the Residence Inn so we could use the kitchenette to heat up our 7-year-old son's meals as he is severely allergic to many foods (dairy, eggs, nuts, sesame to name some). Other options were available (i.e. Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn, etc.) when we booked but we were specifically looking for a room with a kitchenette. Some choice words came to mind when the receptionist followed with, "sir, we have called ahead and the Ramada Inn still has a few rooms left" while smiling like he just discovered a cure for cancer. I decided not to utter those choice words and after a civil conversation where he confirmed there were absolutely no rooms available, we had no choice but to head to the Ramada Inn. The worst part of this was the nonchalant attitude that the room we booked was not available, the fact the Marriott staff did not even bother to call ahead to the Ramada to inform them we were coming and no follow through after being told we would be compensated for our inconvenience. This just goes to show their lack of customer service which is a very bad reflection of their management. read more

I've spent quite a bit of time here lately, with several stays of two or three weeks. This is a functional hotel for a business traveler and I'm sure it would work for a family relocating to the area. Normally, it is a good place to stay but it isn't without some problems. My biggest complaint is when a weekend soccer tournament is held in Lancaster and the hotel is completely swarmed with rude families who take over the entire property for a two day party. It's like middle aged spring break with unruly teens and tweens thrown in for good measure. Ice chests full of beer are in every public room, the barbecue area has loud music blaring into your room, kids run up and down the hallways hollering, and morning breakfast is not a viable option because the area is taken over by soccer families who leave a mess behind that takes staff hours to clean. If not for the suburban version of soccer hooligans, this is a solid property. My only other negative comment is trivial. The cable television choices are very limited and such standards as The Golf Channel are missing. Like I said, trivial. read more

I had a stay here from 7/8 thru 7/10 for a business trip. Cost of the room was $180/night. With tax cost/night was $200/night. For that price, there are certain expectations including comfortable, clean room, comfortable bed, housekeeping, etc. My issue here was housekeeping. The door hanger to request housekeeping read on one side, "All Set. My suite is good for the day." The other side read, " Later please. I'm enjoying the space." Neither of these is very clear as far as requesting housekeeping. Well I guessed the wrong and got no housekeeping after a 10 hr day. Of course by the time I got back to the room, housekeeping was done for the day. Inasmuch as the door hangar proved to ineffective in requesting housekeeping, I did take a few photos showing that the door hangar is useful in showing the poor workman ship in my room (329). I noted several places with door trim with insufficient nails or caulk such the door hangar can slide between the wall and the door trim. See photos. Also noted the poor fit of the shower enclosure - poor workmanship on installation. Good fit at the top of the rolling door, poor fit at the bottom of the rolling door. Also noted water on the floor after taking a shower - again poor workmanship. When being charged $200/night, these are things that should happen in the first place. In the second place, I would expect Marriott to follow up on this issue when it was brought to their attention but they've been silent for over a week now, so I'm sharing the experience. They get two stars for the condition of the room and lax customer service in following up. read more

This was my 2nd one week stay and I felt like writing a review. First, hotel staff was most pleasant and helpful. 2nd, the rooms were great. Mine came with a (what I would call) a full kitchen - full size fridge and freezer, oven, stove, dishwasher, pots pans, utensils, plates, glasses, mugs, Tupperware. They also have a grill on the patio. Bring a grill brush. The room itself was clean and modernized. It is basically a mini apartment. Breakfast was also good quality for hotel breakfasts - eggs, fruit, coffee, OJ, bread, bagels, English muffins, yogurt, toppings, sausage/beacon. I travel to Palmdale for work so I will be choosing Residence Inn there again. Thanks for a great and comfortable stay each time. read more

I stayed here with my whole family for Thanksgiving and we had an outstanding experience. I'm a longtime Marriott customer but this was my first at a Residence Inn and I have to say I was delightfully surprised. The staff was warm and welcoming and the suite was big and very clean. I had an issue with my reservation and the manager Moses resolved it gracefully and quickly. I highly recommend if this spot, especially if you want to travel with your dog. read more

We have alternated between the Hilton and Marriott for years,but we are now solid a Marriott family. Our family was part of a mandatory evacuation due to the wild fires in the Santa Clarita area(Tick fire).The evacuation order came in the wee hour of 3:30 a.m. Access to the in-laws south was shut down,and with a family of 4 plus a dog the evacuation center was not a desired option. Marriott understood we were in a bad way and help us in every way they could. Check in time was in the afternoon,but Marriott bent the rules to let us check in right away. Mandy is a master at the fine art of customer service. She made sure we had a inflatable mattress,extra blankets & pillows,and gave us directions to the nearest shopping outlets. We supplied our fridge,and settled in for the duration of the fire until the evacuation was called off. Thank you Mandy,and Marriott in a very stressful time. Stayed here for a weekend. Queen suite w/room. Very clean rooms, all the amenities. Complimentary breakfast, a lot to choose from. What also stood out is the great customer service. They called back to explain the bill. We left laptop behind and they called to said they had found it when we had forgotten all about it. Kudos to their customer service. read more

I definitely recommend staying here. Staff is friendly, the hotel is pet friendly. Pool area and exercise room is clean. Rooms have great amenities, dishwasher, dishes, microwave, stove like your very own home away from home. Location is near a lot of restaurants and shopping. Complimentary breakfast includes a lot of great selection from hot foods to cold food. The only thing is the selection of tv channels is pretty limited but wifi connection is good to stream shows on your iPad/iPhone. Would stay here again! read more

FINALLY a hotel that has a FABULOUS shower. How awful is it to wake up in a hotel and take a shower and you can barely get the soap rinsed off you let alone out of your hair!! If I could give zero stars, I would. This hotel is well maintained and the staff is polite. The issues with hotel have to do with the following: We lived here as part of an extended stay. Out of the two months we had families with children above us 5 of the 8 weeks. The hotel refused to make them be quite and only gave us the option to move rooms. Not easy when all your belongings are crammed into a room. If this wasn't bad enough our air conditioning malfunctioned 3 times flooding the floors and our belongings making our room smell like mold. I've met at least 6 other guests who've had the same a/c thing happen multiple times. Another problem with this place is the location. Stay further west! At night hood rat children play basketball til midnight and will harass you and your pets while outside. By harass I mean threaten you and throw cans and objects at you. The hotel refused to make them leave even though their policy is to leave by 10PM. In addition to the kids, I've personally witnessed MANY drugs deals in the parking lot while taking my dog outside. They aren't even private about it. I've called the cops multiple times to watch them run away when the cops arrive. read more

I checked into the Residence inn a few days ago. I was greeted by a very happy and cheery staff. I felt this was a good omen to my stay. The fun started the next morning. Breakfast starts at 6:00am. I went down for breakfast at 6:30 and was concerned that the food was cold. They were also out of coffee. Call me crazy but I enjoy a hot breakfast and hot coffee. I wound up taking my food upstairs and nuking it. I even made some coffee. The coffee machine was lacking as far as brewing hot coffee. Water was just above warm. I get back from work that afternoon and I'm treated to the couple next door who have no idea what "inside voices" are. They also don't know how to manage their child or their profanity around said child. The only saving grace was this was a suite. So I retired to the bedroom and shut the door. The next morning we had to wait for plates at breakfast. But they did have hot coffee. I still had to take my food upstairs and heat it up. I think the maid spilled some water on the carpet. I realized this when I took my shoes off and went to the sink. Not happy about wet socks. I stay at many different hotels for work and have had a more comfortable stay. I'll choose a different place next time I come to Palmdale. read more
