Outdoor lights made possible by outdoor electrical outlets from Residential Electric.
    Colleen R.

Tammy Olivario has been operating this excellent business for years and has a reliable crew which does excellent work at a reasonable cost. Residential Electric can do indoor/outdoor work and even came through to help mediate a situation with a contractor. Tammy is level headed, knows her stuff and hires good, reliable employees. You would do well to entrust any project, large or small to Residential Electric.

One time I was putting on a new roof with spray foam insulation applied after removal of the old. It was important that they be ready to apply when the roofers were finished removing the old roof. Very good R value and just as important, any cracks and crevices are sealed. I have had them do 3 projects now and they will do any future projects too.

They do good work (we have used for furnace, A/C, and plumbing (real like plumber Mike). Huge plus: they give you a very narrow window of time when they will show up. If they say they'll be there at noon, they are there at noon or you get a call if they are hung up, which rarely happens. None of this "We'll be there some time in the afternoon" crap.

That's when I told him I would try to get another year or two out of the coil. Never blamed him for causing another leak, just asked him to be careful handling the tubes because we don't want another leak. Only reason I'm posting this review is because of the a-coil rust. Like you said, I was there when he removed the access panel. I saw no rust anywhere on the coil. He said he noticed the rust. Well if he did, he didn't say anything about it. If it was rusted as shown in the pictures, nobody would have attempted to do a leak test. You would have said your a-coil is shot and needs replaced. Again, never brought it up. Also, never saw you wipe the sprayed liquid off the coil, you just put back on the access cover. All I know is the front of our a-coil is seriously corroded, only the part that was sprayed. Everywhere else on the coil looks new. I wasn't expecting anything out of this posting other than to share my experience with others so they can make an informed decision when looking to hire a company. They certainly can believe what they want. I hold no bad feelings toward W.M. Masters. Cory is a nice young man, and was very respectful. I probably made him nervous following him around like a shadow. Guess I would be too. It's just that we got burnt before by a company charging for work never done. Just wish that the coil was rinsed off of that leak spray before replacing the access panel. Looks like we'll be replacing our AC system sooner than we originally thought.

They came out and inspected what insulation I already had, and explained clearly why that insulation wasn't working. Basically, the builder had not insulated properly, either due to not knowing the proper way to insulate this type of room, or due to cutting corners. They explained to me what they would recommend, and why, and gave a firm estimate and time frame for when they could do the job. I agreed and their team showed up when they said they would, did the job, and cleaned up after themselves. They stuck to their quote even though the job took a significant amount more of insulation than expected. I was able to inspect their work via the attic, and they did exactly what they told me they would do. So far this room is warmer in the winter, but will never be as warm as the rest of the house due to being over a cold garage, and due to having inadequate heating vents. But at least the room is usable now and we can use a space heater as needed. My thanks to the team, and I'll call them again when I need something insulated. Note that despite the name of this company, they don't do EVERY kind of home improvement; this company specializes in weather-proofing/ insulation.

I was unhappy with the way the installer (his name was Chuck) handled the job. The screens were torn (not his fault), but instead of replacing them and coming back to finish the job as he said he would, he returned the broken screens to my porch about a month later with a note taped to it with a disconnected phone number. He didn't leave the packaging materials or instructions, so returning them to the company wasn't an option for me. I had to pay $90 for replacement parts, and Illini Home Improvement refused to accept responsibility for the job since the contractor was no longer employed with them. Frustrating to say the least and my doors are still not in working order.

Core 3 Landscaping, Maintenance & Construction Services - Black mold in my bedroom.

Core 3 Landscaping, Maintenance & Construction Services

I wish I would have read Core 3's terrible reviews before renting from them…read more Upon many other upsets while renting from Core 3, the issue that has me most furious is how they have dealt with the black mold issue I found in my main bedroom. I put in a request to have this black mold inspected and cleaned on Tuesday, April 11 2023 at 10:20AM. I waited all throughout the day for maintenance to arrive. At 4PM when maintenance still did not arrive, I called Core 3 to ask why my request had still not been addressed by maintenance. I spoke with Mark, who told me that "not all black mold is the toxic black mold that it may seem." He then proceeded to speak to me rudely and loudly after I told him that I put in a request at 10AM and should not have been waiting this long for it to be addressed. Regardless if it is the toxic black mold or not, ALL mold has very serious health effects. I have experienced bodily rashes, constant fatigue, constant sneezing, headaches, and watery eyes. The fact that this issue will not be addressed until the following day, April 12 2023 when I put in this request at 10AM of April 11 2023 is absurd and very unprofessional. The way I was spoken to by Mark is also very upsetting as he merely downplayed my worry of exposure to mold and spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner. Save your health, save your money, and do not rent from Core 3. Flor Bustos

Former tenant here from 2018-2021, oh where shall I start?…read more I suppose I should start at the beginning when I informed them before even moving in that I am disabled and at the time I had a service dog. I provided all legal and necessary proof that my service dog was indeed my service dog but they refused to take my paperwork to make copies of it, and yet they somehow found it necessary to charge me a $30 pet fee for 3 months. When I finally realized where the extra charge was coming from, I confronted them with picture proof of the original rental agreement, my paperwork proving my service dogs credibility, and what they were charging me. I also informed them how what they did was a direct violation of ADA laws. The response I got was essentially "that's nice, we're not giving you your money back". It took 11 months for most of my maintenance repairs to get taken care of and there was still plenty left for them to do that they never followed up on. One example is when one of the water pipes burst and I had water leak into my bedroom. Had I not been lucky enough to have a friend that's good with maintenance repairs I'd have lost everything in my bedroom from flooding because it took them 3 days to repair it. I'm a persistent man and I refused to take no for an answer when it came to the necessary repairs I needed as well as property maintenance. Can't tell you how many times I injured myself slipping on a sheet of of ice that covered a very crappy gravel driveway because they refused to salt the driveway or shovel snow, which caused my car to get suck in the driveway on multiple occasions. Two winters in and I'd had enough of their neglect so when a huge snowstorm came through I had to yell at them for 5 consecutive days just to get salt trucks and a snow plow. They also happily raised my rent during the height of the pandemic too, citing "under market value as the reason. I got sick and tired of CORE 3 being such a crappy middleman since Seth Coulliard is the property owner and the ultimate one making the decisions about necessary repairs and property maintenance. So I decided to message both the property owner and CORE 3 in a joint email to further discuss what I needed because using their maintenance portal was a joke and a waste of time. That pushed them over the edge because then they decided they'd had enough of me demanding my rightful repairs as a contracted tenant, so they directly retaliated against me and broke their own contract by trying to raise my rent and tried to refuse me my legally required 30 days notice as was stated in the contract. If you don't believe me about them directly retaliating against people just go to the Better Business Bureaus official website and type them in. Their convenient excuse for raising the rent was again how the property was allegedly "under market value". I'm gonna tell you right now that place was so neglected it wasn't worth more than $400/month and any "upgrades" they make are purely aesthetical. After I showed them proof of how wrong they were they reluctantly agreed so I took my legally required 30 days and got out. They're a straight up slum company because they're the middle men who stand in between tenant and property owner and they always side with slumlords. Avoid CORE 3 at all costs and especially SETH COULLIARD because most of my problems stemmed from Seth's COMPLETE lack of professionalism let alone his lack of knowledge about ADA laws. Oh, and one more thing. If you're reading through the reviews and you're looking at the responses given to tenants who have left negative reviews, just know that the owner is completely full of ****. If lying was a national sport these people would be the global champions. Quite frankly they shouldn't even be allowed to exist considering how many people they've screwed over and every single person that I've ever talked to who's rented from them has had almost the exact same experiences me. The people leaving negative reviews are NOT lying, it really IS that bad.
