Appreciate W.M. Masters' reply, but need to fact check a few things. I never denied there was a leak, refrigerant needed to be added to the system. So, there's a small leak somewhere. That's when I told him I would try to get another year or two out of the coil. Never blamed him for causing another leak, just asked him to be careful handling the tubes because we don't want another leak. Only reason I'm posting this review is because of the a-coil rust. Like you said, I was there when he removed the access panel. I saw no rust anywhere on the coil. He said he noticed the rust. Well if he did, he didn't say anything about it. If it was rusted as shown in the pictures, nobody would have attempted to do a leak test. You would have said your a-coil is shot and needs replaced. Again, never brought it up. Also, never saw you wipe the sprayed liquid off the coil, you just put back on the access cover. All I know is the front of our a-coil is seriously corroded, only the part that was sprayed. Everywhere else on the coil looks new. I wasn't expecting anything out of this posting other than to share my experience with others so they can make an informed decision when looking to hire a company. They certainly can believe what they want. I hold no bad feelings toward W.M. Masters. Cory is a nice young man, and was very respectful. I probably made him nervous following him around like a shadow. Guess I would be too. It's just that we got burnt before by a company charging for work never done. Just wish that the coil was rinsed off of that leak spray before replacing the access panel. Looks like we'll be replacing our AC system sooner than we originally thought. read more

I hired them for some duct work. About a month later, I learned that some ducts were disconnected near where they worked. I called them. They claimed there was no loose ducts. They charged me $147 to not fix the problem they caused and I still have the problem. read more

Awful, awful, awful. Spent $7000.00 on a tankless hot water heater and return plumbing. Although the initial install was fine, they did not go over how to turn up the hot water. My wife and I had to crank the hot water heater all the way up just to get a reasonable level of heat. The install tech said everything I needed to adjust the heat level was in the documentation. IT WAS NOT. I went to Wm. Masters to tell them that I needed help/instructions on how to get the heat over 120 degrees. They told me that I would be charged a service call for any help I needed after the technician left. I wish I could pull the whole unit out and go to someone else. These guys do the absolute minimum to install and get out of your house. I will never use them again. read more

I liked that they Carry Trane products but they did not have 0% financing available and so I went with another local Trane dealer. The gentlemen from WM Masters was prompt and got me my quote quickly. I also got quotes for Generac Generators that they carry and install for whole home coverage. Although I needed something smaller around an 8kva unit to cover 12 critical circuits not the entire house. read more

You pay a little more but they are experts, hire well trained people and have always accommodated our schedule. True professionals and always give helpful suggestions and options. We have had a reoccurring problem that needed resolution but rather difficult since the problem in the A/C system and furnace fan was no longer occurring and back to normal about an hour after the problem started. We had Ben today who was excellent as he diagnosed the problem, made several inspections and tests and as a result it was determined that an air conditioner part which has been backordered for months is probably the problem. Ben is very impressive and Wm. Masters should be proud to have him as one of their reps. He is knowledgeable, very courteous and reassuring. Since the problem started at 4 in the morning and on a 1 year old system, we were not very happy over the situation. as this was the 2nd time this season we had this problem. But we knew that giving the system a long break, it would resolve itself. And that worked. Now we have a very good idea of how the situation should be fixed in the future thanks to Ben'. Trane needs to make an effort to fill these parts backorders. Their excelled reputation for quality systems is being tarnished when the company cannot deliver systems' vital parts within a reasonable time. Thanks Ben for a thorough job this morning. read more

I had been a customer of Mike Williams for several years and they are the worst company I have ever tried to work with. So my neighbor, who has been with WM Masters for several years suggested I try them, she had nothing but great things to say about them. Had great plumbing work done by them years back, but when it came time to replace my HVAC unit they were 3x the cost of the other bids I received. Make sure you get bids so you aren't taken advantage of out there. I would not recommend them. read more

I wanted to update my electric switches ,outlets indoor and out. Joshua Scaggs did the work, a very nice young man , the price was lower then I assumed ,He was fast, showed me everything he was doing,and I would recommend him for any repair or new installation. I will call them first if i ever need repairs again Also -September 2018 I got a very reasonable estimate for a Furnace , central air and new water heater. Response was good the service tech was knowledgable, but the pricing is beyond ridiculous. The quote was for 660 for a little topping off of the refrigerant, This is 150 charge in the real world. We have lived in the B-N area for a very long time and used a couple small, local companies over the course of a few decades. Then we ended up using Wm. Masters for a furnace and AC installation a few years ago. Our experience with this company included some friendly and seemingly knowledgeable employees and decent work but also an installation issue and a billing situation. I appreciated a conversation and resolution with an owner, but problems are often avoidable, and mutually fair solutions should not be difficult. Better communication, common sense, owning mistakes, doing and charging only what a customer has consented to, and keeping a money-driven mentality at bay can go a long way toward gaining and keeping customers. I liked some of the employees but don't plan to set myself up for frustration with this company again and empathize with others who have experienced it. read more

Called am masters about problem with water boiler on geo thermal heater . Dispatcher said we had a man that is good on that.i asked if he is not good don't send him out.he arrived knew very little . I told him all I knew about it .he called manufacturers service department was on hold for 45 minutes . Didn't add any parts didn't do anything. Left with no results . He wasn't qualified to even come out I paid 360 for driving time to and from job site and an hour on job . Waste of my time . Would never call William masters again.. read more

Tech arrived on time to give estimate and then said if I wanted he could make the repair now. I was very pleased with the pluming work done which included drilling home in a cabinet. I will use them next time I have a project...and their price was the same as a competitor who failed to show for 6 appointments on days and times they selected. read more

They were hired by company putting in a pool for us to run some lines from outside to inside the house. Was told they'd cut into wall then put a vent cover over it to cover hole which we were fine with. Instead we come home to this, hole in ceiling and wall with vent covers on both butted up against each other. Not sure what type of business thinks this looks ok and would let their tech leave a job like this without ever notifying the homeowner. So we call and complain and were told bc pool guy signed contract they weren't responsible for fixing one of the holes he would be. Darren the project manager that I spoke with was rude and a smart ass jerk. He never once said I'm sorry your not happy with our service. Instead he decided to be a smart ass bc he was getting a little attitude from an unsatisfied customer which duh should be expected! That's customer service 101 you always apologize to the customer whether you think you should or not! It's fine our pool guy already said he'd make it right but that's beyond shitty in my opinion that a company that's well known to everyone does a job they are supposed to be experts in and leaves it looking like this picture and actually thinks that's ok and won't do anything to try to make it right by their customer. Aaron it also states in contract hole not holes! Had we been made aware of the possibility that more than 1 hole may be cut like Darren swears he told me but never did, we would have been able to avoid this entire situation. Do you honestly think we'd be so upset if he really had told us that?! And the way he spoke to me was completely unprofessional then we had somebody texting my husband last night about it which again very unprofessional! You do not text a dissatisfied customer! I think your employees need to be trained on how to handle dissatisfied customers the proper way! I have used them for years. Started when their A/C technician, Brad, was working on house across the street and, when he was done, asked him a question and got a (free) extended and thoughtful reply. They do good work (we have used for furnace, A/C, and plumbing (real like plumber Mike). Huge plus: they give you a very narrow window of time when they will show up. If they say they'll be there at noon, they are there at noon or you get a call if they are hung up, which rarely happens. None of this "We'll be there some time in the afternoon" crap. read more

I am writing this review for my mother in law. She has used Wm Maters for her plumbing needs for many years. They have always done work of the highest quality. That being said, they are not getting five stars, and may not being getting her business anymore, because they charged her for their time to commute to her house.
