But I don't find it lacking in equipment or facilities with way more things that I even want to use. I have read more than one review saying the staff is curt and unfriendly but they have all always been gracious to me. I'm always greeted with a welcome, have a good work out and exit with a Have a good rest of your day. I'm pushing 70 years old and even the youngest staff members are always friendly towards me. I toured a few of the other health club/gyms when I first moved to the area but In-Shape fit my needs best. I overheard in conversation among other club members they are expanding the facility. I never think to ask the staff so not sure what is going on there. Would be nice if they added a mini-basketball court.

Having done CrossFit for seven years, I wanted a place that offered strength training, HIIT, and personal coaching, but also felt welcoming and motivating. Fit in 42 delivers on all of that. The community is strong and supportive, and the coaches give each person real attention. I mostly do the semi-private training sessions, max six people per class, and it feels like having a personal trainer who also keeps you connected to a team. I also love dropping into the 42 Strong HIIT classes for an extra push. The coaches here are excellent!! Every one of them sets the bar high for both expertise and encouragement. The workouts are challenging, well-structured, and varied, and the coaches know how to tailor them to individual goals. What stands out most is that this gym is more than just a place to work out. It is a place where you feel part of something, and where results and connection go hand in hand. Not only have I been meeting my fitness goals, but I've also made lifelong friends here. Besides his experience and knowledge, he is just a great guy to learn from and train with and the Self Made Training Facility is clean and top notch. From the other trainers to the clients, everyone there is friendly and fun, while also taking their training seriously. Matt is the new owner, although he has been coaching at this location for long before that. He has cultivated strong relationships with all of his clients and continues to do the same work with new members and drop-ins alike. Programming is top notch. The spirit of "Constantly Varied" lives in all of the workouts. Both consistently challenging for even the most elite athlete and scalable for the newest to Crossfit - I always leave knowing I've gotten the best possible workout. Classes are capped at 10 people, which is fantastic and contributes to a personal training experience. This is not typical for other boxes in The Valley and is a huge part of what elevates the experience at CFPS. The gym is now in a much larger space, which allows for open gym time for members, as well as a competitors' class that rivals Invictus in its intensity. Kisha Carr is one of the other amazing coaches. She also offers personalized meal plans and nutritional support. Alongside that, Carr Cellular Fitness is on site with a wide variety of supplements and support. I would never consider moving gyms.
