This is my second review for CFPS, but a lot has changed over the last few months, and so an update seems appropriate. The gym has changed ownership. Matt is the new owner, although he has been coaching at this location for long before that. He has cultivated strong relationships with all of his clients and continues to do the same work with new members and drop-ins alike. Programming is top notch. The spirit of "Constantly Varied" lives in all of the workouts. Both consistently challenging for even the most elite athlete and scalable for the newest to Crossfit - I always leave knowing I've gotten the best possible workout. Classes are capped at 10 people, which is fantastic and contributes to a personal training experience. This is not typical for other boxes in The Valley and is a huge part of what elevates the experience at CFPS. The gym is now in a much larger space, which allows for open gym time for members, as well as a competitors' class that rivals Invictus in its intensity. Kisha Carr is one of the other amazing coaches. She also offers personalized meal plans and nutritional support. Alongside that, Carr Cellular Fitness is on site with a wide variety of supplements and support. I would never consider moving gyms. My wife and I started at Crossfit Palm Springs in March 2012 and we love it. We knew what Crossfit was about, but the results have been dramatic. The people at Crossfit Palm Springs are great and we have become a big family. TJ, Matt and Larry have been amazing over the months. TJ has been so helpful with our technique and works with us when we need modification to the exercises. I have very tight joints and he has given me so many techniques to help me through and still get results. Matt and Larry lead by example and are benchmarks when it comes to the workouts and provide great instruction along with a gentle "push" to get us to move forward with our workouts. Crossfit Palm Springs is a small box with a lot of big features. We love the small class sizes because it gives us room to work out along with that family feeling. The online signup was painful during transition but is working great now because it allows us to sign up and drop whenever we want. While I was vacationing I dropped in for a WOD at Palm Springs CrossFit. I was so pleased with the coaches, the equipment, the friendly members, and the workouts that I returned the next day for another one! :) The coaches are great! Coach Matt took the time to help me work on some skills that I lacked. Coach TJ watched my form closely and corrected me when I needed it all while encouraging me on. Great space to work out. Equipment is top notch. Space and equipment are sanitized--and kept clean between user sessions. Coach Matt wears mask at all times, as do my partner and I out of respect for Matt and for our own health. Dropped in here awhile back while in Palm Springs for a wedding: it really doesn't get much better than a great WOD with 400m runs on a beautiful warm day with the mountains as a backdrop. The coach was incredibly welcoming, as were the other members. Great set up with the garage door opening for more space on nice days (right...so when ISN'T there a nice day in Palm Springs??). Either $20 for drop-ins, or purchase one of their sweet shirts (which I rock regularly back here in Chicago). Highly recommended if you are visiting Palm Springs. read more

5 stars doesn't say enough. My wife and I moved to PS 3 months ago from Nor Cal with a few months of CF under our belts. From day 1, TJ (owner), Owen, Matthew and Larry have made grueling workouts enjoyable and have us looking forward to the next day's WOD. The teams articulate explanation of skills is consistent and always given with consideration of experience level. I started at CrossFit Palm Springs in January 2014 and I love it. I'd heard a lot about CrossFit, but was hesitant about joining a box because I'd heard how difficult and hard it was on the body. The coaches at Crossfit Palm Springs are great and erased any doubts from my mind. My coach Kisha, who teaches the 6:30AM class, has taught me proper form and skill to execute the exercises. She, as well as all the other coaches, are constantly motivating and pushing me to give the WOD (Workout Of the Day) what my body is capable of. They never expect or make you do more that what your own body can handle. I love the sense of community that I feel when I'm there. I've recently started an amazing nutritional program put together by Kisha and loving the results. CrossFit has now become a way of life for me and look forward to living an active, healthy and happy life. read more

TJ and his coaches are great. It's my regular Crossfit box when I visit Palm Springs. Really like the programming and the crowd is very welcoming. The box is well equipped. It's clear that they are really genuine about the CrossFit ethos, approach. They have a burgeoning kids program too. Highly recommend going if you are in the area. Would be a 5 star if it were a bit bigger. A couple WODs got a bit crowded but it's a very minor issue. read more

I have dropped into this box a couple times now and it's a great box. The coaches are well versed, attentive, and program good workouts. The equipment is in good condition and there is plenty of it. Class sizes are small which creates more focused attention during the WOD. Also, since the last time I visited they have updated the entrance. The supplement shop is up and running, the T-shirts are really cool (had to buy one!), and everything is clean and new! You feel welcome as a drop-in and I will definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

I took class and stayed after for open gym to do my own lifting. The box is extremely clean, open and has everything you need. Everyone makes you feel so welcome, and the coaching was great. I had a really good experience with Matthew who trained me for a private session. I had never done Crossfit before and he suggested on at least one private training. I really liked the attention that a training can give to me especially for good form. I was excited to try a new place and it was fun to learn new things. It was not an easy task though. It challenged me and the results felt great. Matthew was very professional. I recommend a private training to anyone at least to try once. read more

Matthew is the real deal. This crossfit facility is first class and has lots of variation. I love that it also has lots of parking. I know it may not sound like a big deal, but I'm tired of places that don't have a parking lot. Another plus is how clean it is. And yet another plus is the house dog, Pita. Wish I didn't have to give a star. I went on vacation to Palm Springs and looked up the local CF. All of the reviews said this place was great. I think all of the reviews were written by friends of the owner because I had the worst experience with the coach. I think his name was TJ - he was rude, belittling, and made me feel like I didn't belong. I love my local CF and can't believe I had such a bad experience. read more

Signed up for a one-week membership because I was visiting Palm Springs for thanksgiving. I was very disappointed in almost everything about this gym. It is small, the equipment is not in good condition, but most importantly the coaches were horrible. They provided little to no instruction and seemed like they did not care. I witnessed many of the members executing horrible form on lifts and the coaches did not help them one bit. I would not recommend this box. read more
