    The gym at 8:30am class!
    Andrew D.

Resistance is the top CrossFit gym in the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From day one, I felt genuinely welcomed into the community.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The coaches are highly knowledgeable about all the movements and take the time to guide you through each class. They are friendly, attentive, and take pride in leading an exceptional session. The gym is spacious, comfortably accommodating up to 20 people. I've tried other CrossFit gyms, but there's something uniquely special about Resistance--and that's the community. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone is incredibly supportive and encouraging.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The gym also organizes monthly social events for its members and hosts several CrossFit competitions throughout the year. Their programming is top-notch, offering a diverse range of movements and strength training. Whether you're a seasoned CrossFitter or just starting out, come check them out and discover what makes this the best CrossFit gym around.

I was single, fat, and had no confidence. I wanted to change that so one day I dropped into resistance athletics and met coach mike and Pao. I was really nervous and intimidated because they were so strong! I wanted to be like them so they got me on an intense program to lose fat and get fit! Their fitness program worked so well that I even got the attention of one of the hottest girls at the gym. Lucky me! Thanks coach mike and Pao making me a better man Xoxo

    Crossfit Resistance gym

Resistance Crossfit is an amazing space. They have a very knowledgeable staff and organize great community events. It's connected to a pizza shop and coffee shop so you get everything under one roof. More importantly their programming is great and very welcoming for new members. 10/10 Crossfit Gym.

Lost 130lbs on my way to be fit for life!

If your ready to work your way to your peak fitness there really is no better group of trainers to get you there! Very supportive very professional, it's like a small Fittness family. They are very conscious of the safety of all and are always cleaning and we are tasked to clean after use with spray bottles and clean rags readily available. Do it sign up! You'll be glad you did!

This gym has changed my life. Crossfit was scary to me but I saw a lot of my friends that were into it and having success. Success can have different meanings of course, whether it's losing weight, getting stronger, eating right, learning Olympic movements, improving cardio....this gym supplies that. The coaches are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Their first priority is safety. They'll focus on getting the fundamentals down so you don't get injured. Proper technique not only prevents you from getting hurt, but also allows you to get quicker gains! Not only do they have crossfit classes, they also have barbell club which focuses on Olympic lifting. You can do both if that's what your heart desires. Everyone here, the coaches and the athletes are very welcoming. A lot of people are quick to say hello and ease your nerves whether you're a newbie, a drop in or an experience cross fitter/weightlifter. Love this place.

The workouts are challenging and fun, but what really sets this place apart is the community and the people. As newbies, we were a little nervous walking in, but Eugon, Steven, and Gabe made us feel welcome from day one. They are attentive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in making sure you are doing things right without making you feel intimidated. Since F45 is a franchise, it's pretty fun to think that people across the world are doing the exact same workout as we are here in Pasadena. When traveling to different states, or even other countries, I've been able to visit studios there and I love the familiarity of it. There's no awkwardness or intimidation factor since it feels like home. The Pasadena studio is family-owned and the owners, Gabe & Michelle, take feedback and concerns seriously. They're always looking for ways to make the experience better and I love that personal touch. They've put a huge emphasis on building community among the members so that the studio isn't just a place to exercise but a place to form friendships. The coaches at Pasadena make the effort to get to know the members personally and are super friendly and motivating. They push you but are also sensitive to injuries or limitations and are able to provide modifications, if needed. When I don't feeling like getting out of bed and over to class, I know I can count on them to be there energized & ready to go. Thank you, F45 Pasadena!

After attending Stride, I'll probably switch over to this studio instead. First off, I really like that Stride is inclusive to all fitness levels and give options for both walkers and runners. It has a range of different treadmill levels for Levels 1-4. This allows me to self-regulate and go easier or faster depending on how I'm feeling that day. This allows me to sufficiently warm up and I feel like I'm getting the most out of my workout. You only switch once during the combo so I definitely can take my time and do quality reps. Seriously there is nothing more annoying that switching between workouts super quickly and I don't even have time to catch my breath so please keep this format!

Game changer and much better use of space. I've been liking this new format because it added room for the strength and weight-training portion of the class. The benches are really nice and each bench has your own set of weights ranging from 7.5 to 25 pounds. Not having to get the weights you think you'll need for class is really helpful. For me, I still average around 2-3 miles per Combo class and that's perfect for me. This new format helps me hit more muscle groups than before! I also like the screens showing the strength moves on the strength side so it's easier to remember. Instructors and staff are all still amazing and welcoming. Definitely a class worth checking out!

Committing to just one gym is difficult when each person goes through their productive, creative, or hibernation periods. I've wanted a place that made me look forward to going and not finding reasons to skip out. After some time with ClassPass, a 45-day workout challenge and a dozen-full of memorable buddy pass classes later, I finally made a decision I've been happy with since. Basecamp for the win. Love their lower to upper to full body workout schedule, the alternation between cardio and strength, the change/rotation of class layouts, their equipment, and of course, the instructors and team themselves. Special appreciation for the 9am goers because they became a solid community for me when I was going through some post-grad life transitions and turbulence. Somehow, when I was considering what to properly invest in while sacrificing to save money from other things, this was a good alternative investment that has sparked back some love for workout classes again. Well-deserved shout outs to Coaches Nick, Jacqueline, and Oliver and the front desk team. If you're looking for a motivating space, it's a good place for a comeback and a fresh start. They had nice bathrooms and overall facilities ( two floors, smoothie bar, gym, and males locker room on the first floor + women's locker room upstairs). The women's bathroom was luxurious! There are three showers and around vanity space for around 3 people. The smoothie bar outside the gym was a cute addition but the smoothies are quite pricey. I tried the CHOC FULL OF PROTEIN and it was not bad though i wouldn't pay $12 for it again. Staff was super welcoming and open to teaching newbies like myself!
