When you get there you drive inside the building and your vehicle gets weighed. If it's one type of metal you are getting cash for they have you drive back to the location for the metal drop off is. You unload your items then go back to the weigh in station and they weigh your car again. That is where they get the weight amount of the metal you've dropped off. You go to the cashier and they give you money. If you have different types of scrap you should have it separated and you can load up a cart with it and go to a smaller scale that is near the cashiers office. The only downside is having to unload your vehicle (especially if you have a lot). They take all kinds of metals such as copper, aluminum, steel, and aluminum cans. There may be others that I didn't list. Last time we were there they helped to unload scrap which we totally appreciated! Their prices are pretty good compared to some of the other companies in the area that also scrap metals.

One woman brought in an old pedestal brass rotary phone and the advised her to sell it as an antique since they would only pay the scrap brass value for it. She didn't care and sold it to them. Over the years, they have pretty much cleaned up the giant piles of scrap in the yard and in their building. They are very task oriented. Put your stuff on the scale, take this slip to the cashier. No nonsense. Prices they pay seem generally consistent with other junk yards taking similar materials. You won't leave with a warm, cuddly feeling from them, but you won't leaving feeling like you needed to brush cooties off your clothing either. Net-net, 3 stars.
