I was originally quoted $390 for my move, including stops, but I was ultimately charged $1,077.50. The final charges included $150/hour, a $200 fuel surcharge, and additional fees that were not clearly explained upfront. During the move, I repeatedly asked about protecting my items, especially fragile furniture and TVs, and was reassured. Despite that, multiple items were damaged, including my bed frame, TV, table, and damage to building/property areas. The movers also did not complete the full job properly. They refused to take one of my TVs, did not take mirrors and picture frames, left many boxes behind, and did not stack the truck correctly, leaving unnecessary empty space in a 10x15 truck. Because of this poor packing and incomplete work, my Partner had to spend the entire next day finishing the move , rent another U-Haul, and pay additional people to help complete the job. There were also delays and poor communication regarding arrival and access to the destination. When I raised concerns about the damages, overcharges, and incomplete work, I was not given a proper resolution and was told not to contact them further without a legal team. this company is literally a joke. I booked them two weeks prior to my them and Groupon paid ask for Groupon then when I called to have them to set up my moving, they hit me with another $300 I paid it two weeks prior to my moving 30 minutes a day after the move they and they didn't even call. They texted me and said I don't have enough people. We're gonna cancel your move. Find somebody else last minute literally 30 minutes when I tried calling them to see that if they will have someone to come in later to do the guess what nobody answered my phone. I am a local business owner and have a very real expectation... I have used this company numerous times over the years and have referred them out to many... Sadly I can't do that anymore... My last time using them was roughly 3 weeks ago.. they moved me downtown... unfortunately my 85 inch tv was damaged... I totally get things happen.. when I brought this to Russ .. the owners attention he said he would get back to me.. never did he respond again.. All I was looking for was him to be fair.. splitting the cost of the TV would have been more than sufficient! I am not the type to complain, but this was by far the worst moving company experience I've ever had. The two movers--one named Victor and the other who refused to give his name--were extremely unprofessional. I had everything ready and only asked for my bed to be taken apart and for important boxes to be placed in the front of the storage unit. Victor told me not to tell him how to do his job and ignored my request completely. They moved extremely slow, spent time on their phones, and it became obvious they were dragging time to charge more. I was told if I didn't pay extra, they would not take my belongings. I ended up moving items myself. When I pointed out that my items were placed in a way that blocked access, Victor made dismissive comments, argued with me, said "I ain't got time for this," threw the rest of my things inside, and left. When I called the owner, Russell, he told me he didn't care what I had to say and that he would only believe his movers. As a woman, the way I was spoken to and treated by both the movers and the owner was unacceptable. Do not use this company. From the owner to the movers--completely unprofessional and unethical. I am not someone who typically complains, but this situation must be addressed and the company needs to be made aware. His exact words were: "Man, your bag is here, the other one is back there," while placing items in a way that completely blocked any walkway and made it impossible for me to access what I needed. He then became argumentative and said, "Man bruh, let's get out of here. I ain't got time to go back and forth, bruh," proceeded to throw the remaining items inside, and left. When I contacted the owner, Russell, I expected at least the courtesy of being heard. Instead, he told me he did not care what I had to say, that he would not believe me, and that he would only believe his movers. There was no attempt to understand the situation or resolve the issue. As a woman being spoken to and treated this way by two men, this experience was intimidating, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. The behavior of both the movers and the owner was unprofessional and unethical. At this point, I am considering taking further action, including seeking legal counsel, due to the way I was treated and the manner in which I was overcharged. The wine cabinet was new and sturdy. It was carefuly left in the garage before these movers came to pick it up. These guys were careless enough to leave it hanging by the edge of the truck; it got knocked out while they moved the beds. Then they said the wind pushed off the cabinet the wind, come on man. The owner Russell said it was pressed wood, and he couldnt do anything. He agreed it was an accident, but he was not responsible for that. I said I would hold $100 for that broken piece. He threatened me not to unload and to bring me to the court Then he made his movers to pay me $50. I had his movers bring that broken piece to Russell as a gift for july 4th. The move from west pam beach to orlando cost $1200. He said he had the cheapest price for me so he couldnt accommodate more with that accident. The reviews don't lie! Terrible and unprofessional service. I found this company on Groupon and booked services. I didn't receive any confirmation email or anything. Prior to moving day I informed the company how to enter the gated community. The driver decided run the gate which broke the gate. The incident was caught on video surveillance. We tried several times to settle the property damage fees and the owner Russell deflected and ignored us. Once suing him he finally decided to own up to his mistake. I want to be clear, that this review is not directed at the workers but at the owner of this company, Russell. The 2 men worked hard for 9 hours straight and did what they could with the crappy equipment they had, and the experience. Clearly these men are not professional movers. It took them 9 hours to move a 2 bedroom apt and it cost us $1000. The 1 bed, my bf disassembled to save time. EVERYTHING was packed in boxes, so they did not need to pack only move. In the contract, it states the furniture is wrapped, they only wrapped the TV. Every piece of furniture has damage, and some of the upholstered pieces are filthy. Russell decided to send a 3rd guy after 5 hours of labor. It still took them another 4 hours and they did refuse(probably from exhaustion) to try to move our large couch into the new place in fear that it would not fit through the door. I had to rush and secure a storage unit, in order to store the couch. I had a prior moving company move it from one apt to the apt I moved from, but yet they could not. We reached out to the owner and he has not responded to our email. Let the pictures tell the rest of the story, the couch in storage is not included in pics, the bottom piece was ripped and the wood top piece was scratched. It is very disappointing to see your vintage pieces ruined. I now believe that all the 5 star reviews on Google are bought and not real. I found this company on Groupon and after reading 5 star reviews (must have been fake) I agreed to 3 hour deal which should have been plenty because I packed all boxes myself ahead of time. It was only a 1 bedroom apartment with minimum amount of furniture. Destination was only 20 mins away. They ended up charging me extra $75, ruined my desk and left a heavy vanity mirror at my old place that I had to move myself later. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I hired them to move an item from Parkland to Miami. Upon arriving at the complex which was a gated community, they broke the arm of the gate. They never said a word to anyone about the arm being broken. The management company has a video of exactly what happened. Russell the mover said the arm malfunctioned. NO it did not the driver was in the left turn lane and made a right hand turn knipping the arm and breaking it off. The driver never said a word to anyone about the gate malfunctioning. I was very skeptical about using these guys but I was honestly surprised by how good the movers did. Lorenzo and his partner were great! Lorenzo went above and beyond to get the job done. They handled my stuff with care. They worked fast and were very respectful to me and my belongings. I would recommend them to my friends in the future. The only problem I had with them was when I called on a Friday and it took a couple hours to return my call. When the boss returned my call he did say that they were closed on fridays. Be careful with these guys. They are friendly. But very tricky and shady. I had used them for 3 moves. The first 2 moves went great. Upon this last one the worker dropped a dresser, I watched him do it. I waited for him to let me know there was a small accident, but he did not say anything. So I asked him, what happened to that dresser? I noticed he had it turned backward in the POD as to hide the door he broke off and proceeded to say "what dresser?" It was at this moment I realized that there is 0 integrity with this company. The first 2 moves went great- they work fast and get it done. But you don't realize the real integrity of them not standing behind their work until there was an issue. Upon the broken furniture I tried to work it out with the owner, Russell, and he would not answer my calls. He declined 4 of my calls and went unresponsive on 5 text messages. It was not UNTIL I threatened to call my credit card company, he texted me back ASAP. That tells me he knew they dropped the the ball and wanted to avoid it, but once I threatened to call the CC company, he couldn't respond faster. They will work fast and if you have nothing valuable, go for it. If you have things of value, I would not recommend. Like I said they are friendly, but tricky and shady. The movers were rude, cursed like sailors, one had on bedroom slides and the other mover had on no mask after I repeatedly asked him to put one on. They always damaged my dining table. If there was no stars to give, this company would deserve that. They have very poor customer service, and a poor attitude from the customers perspective. The young man who owns the company will sell you the Brooklyn Bridge with his service, and he never comes through. He doesn't have poor ratings for nothing. He is inexperienced and full of broken promises. He will tell you everything is guaranteed, but it is not. I had three phone calls. The first order was lost. Had to start all over. The second time he claims he did not get messages, third time he finally rebooked and promised to send a contract for 5 days, still no contract and no return call the day before. When I tell Russell how frustrated I am with his moving company before they even start, he said they don't send contracts out until the night before, but he promised after hanging up that I would have it as soon as our call concluded. Follow up after follow up, still no return call. Still no contract, and he will hang up on you if he doesn't like what you say, and he doesn't care if he gets bad reviews, he will tell you he has had them before. Moving is stressful enough. You do not need this company. They are inexpensive because they are a no frills company. Don't say that you were not warned at how unprofessional this company is. If you go with them, it is at your own recourse, because you have been warned. Usually, as you can see, I write great reviews, unless warranted. They will string you along for the business and are full of excuses. Very unprofessional. I will let BBB know as well. Now my money is hung up on Groupon for credit, no return money. Nonetheless, Russell worked out a deal where I canceled another company to move me to go with Rest & Relaxation, and was very sorry that I did so. Now I have Groupon bucks as well for that company, which I should have used but Russell assured me that his company can do it all. The day before I am supposed to move, I now have no movers, and had to threaten a poor review just to finally even get a call back for a confirmation before a hurricane to see if they were still even coming. He will tell you you are guaranteed even though he provides you no guarantee or peace of mind that they will even show up. Do not waste your money with a Groupon for them. Give your hard earned cash and allow someone else to handle your personal belongings to someone who genuinely cares. I fired them before they even began, as desperate as I am to have movers, that is how awful this company is. I would rather pay more than give this guy a dime of my time. They higher what looks like kids to move your things and they take their SWEET time, hanging out, snacking, wasting your time and money. They took almost 4 hours to load my storage unit that was on the first floor, the whole job was suppose to take 4 hours... I had my fiancé call his friends and they UNLOADED everything and took it up to our apartment in about 30 minutes.... THIRTY MINUTES. NOT 4HOURS. oh and if you have any furniture thats wood (almost all our furniture) say good bye to it, they will drop, drag and rip everything like our dressers, couch, paintings. They will send you an email about 10 minutes before the drivers are arriving that is a "supposed contract" which you never sign that says they can (and will) damage your "pressed wood" aka all furniture and not be responsible.... Do not use this company. Extremely rude and unprofessional. A friend used them and they crashed the truck into an overhang and had them waiting for hours as a tow truck had to remove it. The owner also told me they recently crashed into a mercedes with their truck. Will give you a 9 hour window of arrival time in the afternoon and expect you wait to around from 11-7pm waiting for their movers. if you do not agree, they say they do not want to do business with you. DO NOT USE! This is a SCAM! I could have done this myself in less time and saved $500!! I purchased 2 hours with 2 movers which should have been plenty of time to move VERY FEW items from a 1 bedroom apartment to another unit right across the street. The movers showed up completely empty handed- despite what the website advertises. The movers were carrying a box or two at a time because they only had a small worthless dolly and even when they used it, the two of them needed to both be there to support the items on it.. leaving no one else to prep the next trip. If I wouldn't have told them after 2 hours of no progress, that I would just move the rest of the items myself, they would have been slowly moving my things for 5 more hours! ( & I'm not exaggerating I'm actually being conservative.) Once we were at the new apartment, luckily, I have a pick up truck we could use to speed up the process and were able to help them move the items from the moving truck to the pick up truck. Took 4 or 5 trips up and down the parking garage so they were on my floors wing and not having to use the elevator. This whole business is a scam to have you pay an extra $150/hour if they go over the time allotted-- which is completely inevitable with the way they work.
