Often rest stops are a rush to get in, out, and away from them quickly. Many are poorly kept, smell bad, are run down, or are covered in trash and graffiti. Often the picnic areas seem to go unused and are falling apart. That was not the case here and people were appreciating the opportunity to stop and unwind from the stresses of the road.
