    No Music!!
    Steven G.

This visit wasn't as good as past visits. No music, $250 charge (new) to sit at a firepit. They were both going full speed with no one sitting at them the entire time we were there except the family members of one of the workers. It was a holiday weekend and dead both inside and out. Also, the menu has been reduced by a lot. Servers were really nice but one could tell it was an off night for everyone. Hope this doesn't continue. We were told there's new ownership so hoping this is not a bad sign.

Great place to dine. The food was delicious and hit the spot. Monique was attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back in the future.

Chicken fingers and pretzel bites apps

What a great place to stop over when on the seacoast. We have long been a fan of their beers. We went deep sea fishing and popped in here on the way to a job in Maine. They have a great happy hour too. We arrived wind burned, cold, and hungry. Ordered each a big IPA, and then the large size chicken fingers, and the pretzel bites. The chicken fingers are some of the best I have ever eaten. The pretzel bites with beer cheese were just okay, but boy were those chicken fingers the best. The large portion of chicken finger is massive (they aint lying) We ended up eating the last couple the next day in the hotel room for breakfast, and they were still delicious cold. Staff was friendly and attentive, and caught that the pretzel bites hadn't come out with the chicken tenders. Nice location, it has outdoor seating too. The only real criticism is there only being two bathrooms on the ground floor, there was one more upstairs and that was also occupied. It can be really annoying when people in a group all decide to use the facilities at the same time, it can really back up the flow of things.

Great beer, good food, kid friendly. It was too hot to enjoy the outside patio but it looked very nice. I'd def go back.

Then we popped over to the restaurant and grabbed a table for some food. We only ordered chicken tenders, which came out quickly and were sweet and crispy. Our server was nice, they were a little disorganized and I think we would sit in the " bar service" area next time and just buy stuff ourself and bring it outside. Overall, good time, nice place and they had beers that were not IPAs so those are all good in my book.

While Smuttynose doesn't have a cat (that I'm aware of), we were pleasantly surprised to meet the resident good boy, a black lab named Willy! What a treat. He is so friendly and freely roams the bar and beer garden. Cute pup aside, I love their facility. The outdoor area hosts a variety of seating options, including my personal favorite: adirondack chairs. This place would be an ultimate summer hang if I lived closer! You don't even have to go inside to order a beer - just walk up to the order window. I tasted their fall offers: Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Ale. I thoroughly enjoyed both, even purchasing a variety pack to trek home with me that included both the Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Ale. Their flagshop brown ale is called Old Brown Dog, and when we visited, they had a stronger version on tap - Very Old Brown Dog. The Very Old Brown Dog is one of the better strong beers I've tasted in some time. Definitely a sipper, especially if you're driving - but boy, it was smooth and very tasty in spite of it's sub 10% abv. The tasting bar is no frills at it's core, but clean bathrooms, fun merch, and good beer are flowing. There are some snacky foods available for purchase, but their restauarant is just across the parking lot if you're seeking a substantial meal. Lots of parking, great outdoor gathering space, smaller indoor seating area - would be great for summer hangs. Lots of tasty beer and a good doggy await. Smuttynose is one of my favorite breweries I've visited in recent memory.

I can only imagine how packed this place gets during the summer. Anyways, service was great. Both bartenders were friendly and one offered a marker + tape so we could hang our dollar bill on the ceiling. As for the food... IMO it wasn't up to par with the Manchester location but still good. The nacho appetizer was disappointing as the pulled pork on top was lukewarm and there was hardly cheese/toppings under the top layer. My BLT and fiancés burger were both good. Fries perfectly crispy. This is probably one of the better (if not the best) place to have a meal at Hampton Beach.
