This place is amazing! If you are a person who has a "thing" for cooking and supplies, you will be overwhelmed! Now, the volume and size of the majority of items is restaurant sized so beware! I didn't realize that I needed to show a business license technically to shop but you can get a temporary license for the day for your visit. That is cool. The cold box has fresh produce, cheeses, cold cuts, meats and then freezer boxes as well. You can buy single portions of some items such as one "stick" of goat cheese. Ice cream? 5 gallon bucket! Okay peeps long time no reviews! Today we have restaurant depo on the chopping block!!! Try playing where is everything in this store! Hard to find items and fork lift drivers driving around while people shop! Talk about OSHA violations driver is moving while people are shopping behind them or in front of them. Now let's talk registers if you thought Costco lines were the worst this place tops it off. Only 3 cashiers scanning if we thought Costco needed more registers this place needs more cashiers! There should be a faster way to scan all these products without having to wait this long to get checked out! Now for the moment of truth is this place the Dendinger approved? The store has very little customer relations experience it seems. Employees regularly smoke marijuana in the parking lot and the parking lot after closing looks like a garbage dump. They seem more concerned about the blue table out front and how might sit there so remove the table and bench seats. read more

Came in and the lady at the desk was super helpful. Gave me a day pass and copied a picture of my id. As I pay and leave the manager calls on her radio that they "were In The clear." Loudly applauding that I had paid a hefty amount and was leaving? The employees followed me out and watched me leave the parking lot. It was off and uncomfortable. I've been to this Restaurant Depot in Concord a few times and SELENE from the appliance department, always goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. Her customer service is impeccable . She greeted me very happy and smiley. My fryer broke and I was frustrated and in a rush, She helped me with my new fryer and also she suggested a PG&E deal discount. I've seen this place when passing by on hwy 4 and decided to finally drop in and check it out. They've got everything a restaurant needs and a great variety. If you've got a business license OF ANY TYPE you can get a free membership. They allow the general public to shop without a membership as well but in that case ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I have shopped at the Oakland location as well and have received good service all around, however, here at the Concord Location, I gotta say the Whole Staff here including management, I feel like a VIP everytime I visit to shop and they treat all their customers with kindness and respect. First off, I'm gonna name some of the employees who's always make feel like family, Joe, Kimberly, Miss lil Kim, Jovanni, La Kisha, Bertha, Jorge, Diego, Jay, and many others who I just don't remember all the names , but always willing to go out of the way to help me whenever I'm there. It is very difficult to get get this kind of service from a big warehouse which opens everyday with probably at least 40 to 60 employees. Love the place and variety, most employees are really nice and helpful HOWEVER I have had two bad experiences with the same person at the register. Last time I thought maybe she was just having a bad day but seems like a cycle so I made sure to get her name this time, KIM- the most disrespectful person ever, we were initially going to her open lane because no one was there and I told her we had two separate transactions (they were already separate to make it easier to scan)and she rolled her eyes and told me she needed one of the orders on the rolling table and i asked her if she needed all of the items including the heavy items and she sighs and says "I don't even know why I told you to separate them and put them there if you weren't going to understand what I said" to which I repeated my question and she said something under her breathe and continued rolling her eyes. I wanted to remain calm but it definitely irritated me, I grabbed the items she told me to separate and I moved to another lane that had a longer line and the people behind us asked if the lane was closed we declined and said it's open. She continued to talk down on us to the people after us and she was laughing at us saying we couldn't understand a simple task. The next people seemed to have a similar issue with it but Thankfully we moved to Raven's lane, I asked her if she needed us to put any items up on the register and she told us we didn't have to do all of that as long as we told her what was separate and had no issues with her. They need to take customer safety into serious consideration! I personally know two people that had serious incidents in their parking lot. A mom and a baby that was parked waiting outside in their car was almost got carjacked. A male man wearing a mask tried opening their doors aggressively. Thankfully, she was able to accelerate, and the person ran off. Another incident was while putting away items in their trunk, two guys took items and a bag with some money in it and ran off. Please keep security in the parking lot during operation hours. Otherwise love shopping there. Thank you. read more

The Oakland one is convenient for me to go , but there is something special about the concord location - Kim , Tracy and the crew treat you like VIP , what even makes this place way better is with the new Liqour manager , everything I need when it comes to alcohol is at your finger tips. I wish there is option for less than one star .i went to deliver for 8:00 am appointment,checked in 7:25 am ,door given 8:05 am , long story short due to unprofessional Behavior of employee name KIMBRELEY I was done 11:37 am .had to cancel my load ,ruin m whole day . The girl with the glasses who works at the service desk should be fired, as she had 2 aggressive employees and 2 more aggressive secret shoppers follow me outside after she asked if I'd paid for my items, and I responded "Yes. Are you really asking me that?!" She never asked me to come back and show her a receipt. As I'm walking to my car in awe, I am approached by men who were seemingly ready to tackle me if necessary. When I first arrived, I stopped at the service desk and inquired about why after multiple inquiries and conversations had my membership not been finalized and why had I not received the proper credentials to shop at the store without having the inconvenience of filling out information for a day pass. I informed the person after I shopped, I'd return to the service desk. I was told that was ok. When I did return it was a person there whom I've seen before, so thought to myself ok cool, this will be easy. After shopping, I informed the cashier who checked me out that I was going back to the service counter. (The reason I informed her is because you have to exit the store a certain way once you have paid). I've done this before trying to get my membership cleared. The girl with the glasses (with whom I'm familiar, have seen and had conversations with before), was now at the desk and I'd remembered her from another time I had inquired about my membership. She lost my original application and I completed it again. This time, she mentioned I gave her incorrect paperwork. So I realized I had (I have more than one business), and I re-emailed the proper document and confirmed it was received. This was between 9:30am-10:30am Friday, December 29, 2023. I had an important meeting I needed to attend virtually by 11:30am so I explained to the lady she could call me on the phone if she needed anything else. She agreed and said she would. I still haven't received a call nor confirmation about my membership. After I reached my vehicle I was wrongfully followed, and questioned if I paid for my items. After providing my receipt I had to request help with my items (2 small boxes) to be put in my car. I was rightfully upset, and informed the gentlemen who followed me that I would be contacting corporate and they didn't object to me recording them when they were put on notice. I'd like a LIFETIME Membership to the establishment, and a refund for the items I purchased that day. There's always an undertone of subtle racism when I visit Restaurant Depot. Some black people do have businesses, and we aren't all criminals. I still haven't gotten word that my membership has been approved, and I've endured pain and suffering from being racially profiled at Restaurant Depot in Concord. read more

It finally started to happen that customer service is getting just as bad as the Oakland store. I used to love coming to this location because everyone was attentive, willing to help you and now, not the same. Not sure what is happening. The Oakland store called to ask about a specific product, they confirmed they had it, I drove an hour and 20 minutes and nope, they didn't have it. Hit the run around and gave up. And to top it off, I see broken glass in the parking lot and I ask the front desk guy if they are having a lot of break ins and he said yeah. I asked if they had security and he says he was told they can't afford security. Come at your own risk and don't leave anything in your car. read more

Just got attacked by the receiving manager of this place in concord I'm a truck driver delivering their merchandise Paper on the door said they stopped receiving at 2pm I arrived at 1:20pm they told me they would receive me and offload product to wait for 45 minutes when they open the door I spoke to the manager and she said idk who the eff told you that but that's a lie and you didn't get here on time They have cameras and they can check I was there on time then she comes at me and is screaming leaveeeee like a maniac while spitting at my face So unprofessional as a receiving manager anf then the district branch manager comes sees the whole incident and sides with her and hangs up on my dispatch. We went to the Restaurant Depot last week in Concoird, CA as we were looking for a metal tea pot that they have in some restaurants. They did not have one, so we still looked around. I had to show my drivers license when we came in, and they gave us a one day pass . Then when we left they made us go farther away to the exit. Too much stuff just to look around. Not a very friendly staff. We like the one in Oakland near the airport. They have a much friendlier staff and you don't have to show your drivers license. After our purchase they even gave us a free bottle of hand sanitizer. We will not go to restaurant Depot again. read more

We were shopping at restaurant depot in Concord, CA when an employee of Restaurant Dept backed up with his forklift operator where my husband, daughter, brother and I were standing at the entrance of the produce section. We were unaware of the movement of the forklift but could hear the sound of a rapidly moving object from our back. My brother alerted my husband and I of the forklift moving our way. My husband turned around and proceeded to ask the forklift operator if he had seen us standing at the entrance of the produce section. He abruptly responded that he did and rhetorically asked if we heard the sound of the forklift with a smirk on his face. Note: I am in my late term of pregnancy already barely managing to stand on my feet and this employee of Restaurant Depot put the safety of my family and I at risk, with no regards for our presence in the store as customers. We approached the employee to at least seek some form of apology but he rushed away and gave us the finger. We caught a picture of him walking away and giving us the middle finger. We requested to speak with the manager to report the incident and review the tapes to confirm the occurrence of the incident. The manager refused and instead gave us a blank piece of paper (contrary to a formal incident form) to write down our complaint. My husband asked for an incident form, but he refused to provide one under the pretext that the company does not have such a form. I have no legal background but question if what occurred is legal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is not right and we surely deserve better respect as customers!!!! If I could rate this store, I would surely give them an abject ZERO!!! The one star does not do justice to the risk we were exposed to in this store. We will for sure never again be shopping at this store. read more
