Does it happen to you, when there are too many good things on the menu and you would just rather have someone else makes the choice for you? RESTAURANT H3 in the Humanity building has a weekday menu (Tues-Thurs) that does just that for you. Simply an appetizer & a main at $39, perfect for an easy-going hangout catching up with old time friends or a casual business dinner. The day we were there, we had an aesthetically-pleasing delicious squash & chestnuts soup followed by a bavette with mushrooms. I ordered a dessert out of curiosity because I was definitely too full already but the deconstructed apple crumble with sea buckthorn was not at all a regret The ambience was friendly, unpretentious but definitely would be a nice date-night type of place, especially if you ask for a table by the window. The staff was very nice & helpful. It was definitely an experience I'd like to repeat

H3 boasts about the freshness of their ingredients and rightfully so! Hands down one of the freshest (if not The freshest) oysters you will ever have. You will know it from the second your hand holds the shucked oyster shell. Forget the tobasco. the delightful cucumber gin (yes gin!) and lemon dressing combination will leave you with this simple question: "Why aren't more restaurants doing this?!" A true testament to what our country has to offer. Home Chips: A perfect starter to compliment those epic oysters. Great when paired with a cold beer. Perfectly cut chips seasoned with flavourful moroccan inspired spices. This is a great terrace snack to enjoy with a group or (shamelessly) by yourself. Maple Butter Rasberry Jelly Stuffed Donut : Too embarrassed to order a donut for dessert in a nice restaurant? Think again! A decision you won't regret. This donut is a solution to that common predicament. A donut made with love stuffed with a sweet fruity raspberry jelly. This heavenly vessel is dressed with quebec's pride and joy: a maple syrup based glaze topped off with additional raspberries, this dessert will more than please the donut fan and surprise the skeptic. A dessert that leaves everyone satisfied.

Quinoa salad (Quinoa, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, carrots, radish, fennel, golden raisin and clementine, with a lime kombucha dressing)

Wednesday night dinner delivery from Restaurant h3, located on Bleury street in downtown of Montreal, Quebec. On the menu: * Grilled beef flank steak (Winter vegetables, bell pepper chutney and parsnip puree) * Quinoa salad (Quinoa, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, carrots, radish, fennel, golden raisin and clementine, with a lime kombucha dressing) * Leek and Celery Root Cream (Leeks, celery root, cream and country style bread) A wide variety of grilled winter root vegetables, parsnip puree and beef flank steak grilled to medium. When ordering from Uber Eats, you can choose how well you'd like the meat to be grilled (Rare, medium-rare, medium, medium-well and well done). The meat is tender, flavorful and goes really well with the selection of grilled vegetables which are provided as a side for this dish. The parsnip puree and the bell pepper chutney add an additional level of freshness and flavour depth to the steak. The quinoa salad has very unique and refreshing flavours, and the cream of leek is exactly what you'd want from your soup on a cold and windy day; it's thick, flavourful and has crunchy celery root cubes in it for added texture. All ingredients are locally sourced and every meal delivers the same great flavours and high quality as the previous one. None of the dishes or flavours are overpowering or oily and everything is perfectly balanced and neat. I've already ordered a few meals from this restaurant and it was delicious and consistent every single time. Many more dishes to still try. Instagram: @restauranth3

We ordered a variety of things (including things we wouldn't usually order to try and enjoy the full experience). We had a special that they were having that night similar to a charcuterie board, croquettes, hangar steak, lobster spaghetti, fries, bread and pickle, and a scallop soup type dish (I forget what it was called and honestly it was my absolute favorite most unique dish). The service is outstanding and our server was so knowledgeable and helpful. The space is small and intimate - perfect for a date night!

My entire Montreal trip was planned around getting this reservation. The food here is good. It reminds me of what restaurants used to do; cook for enjoying instead of just paying the bills. When you start to cook for just the money, you lose the risk taking and excitement from the food. Firstly, the restaurant is very hot. They need to check their AC or maybe they're just choosing to be very European. But that aside our waiter was very good and friendly. He really helped make our dinner fun and memorable. The beef tartare was ok. The sweetbreads were probably the best I've ever had anywhere. The double down is their riff on the KFC sandwich where they used two pieces of fried chicken as bread, instead these guys used two pieces of fried foie gras. It's rich, fatty, and delicious. You do not want to eat more than what they've given but it was every bit enjoyable. The pasta and sausages were good as well. But the strawberry sorbet dessert was so damn good and exactly what I needed to cool down. I had a great experience and highly recommend Joe Beef.

Our family felt welcomed and not a bother. You would be surprised at how few places make us feel this way, even though our children are calm little beings. Ok, now... to the food! When I hear brisket, I think of Texas styled BBQ, this brisket is different, this is a deli style brisket, think Reuben Sandwiches. The brisket was sliced so thin and was juicy, it was delicious! Our kids had kids meals and in their opinion, the best part was the ice cream at the end . I highly recommend eating here! But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

The restaurant was cozy and intimate with below average noise levels. The servers and waitstaff was kind and attentive. The restaurant also had a high chair for our baby, which was nice! The prices were fairly reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber at $$ to $$$ depending on the main course. Cromesqui (9/10) - a very delicate appetizer. Expertly crafted with a nice crisp outer shell and a flavorful gravy burst in the middle. Foie Gras Nigiri (9/10) - another fantastic starter. Foie gras over flavored rice serve on an Asian soup spoon. They provided a soy sauce to add to the appetizer and it was very good! Squid ink Risotto (8/10) - solid main dish. Had large pieces of squid and whelks. I'm usually not a risotto guy, but this was good. Only feedback I had on this dish was I felt it was a bit too salty. Duck in a Can (8/10) - this was one of their marquee entrees. The whole entree came in a can they opened table side and presented onto the dish. It came with duck, Foie gras, braised cabbage and celery root puree. Great presentation and I only wished the duck was a bit more tender on mine. Pounding chômeur (10/10) - We topped off dinner with the pounding chômeur or "poor man's pudding." This was one of the best things I ate in Montreal.
