Restaurante Mutis was a life saver for us! After after long day in Toledo, we made it back to our hotel the Barcelo Emperatriz, and didn't want to move. We were exhausted and didn't have the energy or desire to go out to dinner somewhere, so we decided the try the hotel restaurant. Do not sleep on this place!! I feel like this is a hidden gem in the Salamanca area. The food was fresh, high quality and all around amazing.
The decor matches the hotel, with it's jewel tone accents and velvet pillows. Classy but not stuffy. Our server was great, despite us getting here early (for Madrid standards.) The Iberian pork they bring out as an amuse bouche was phen-om-en-al. The flavor was incredible! My mom doesn't like pork so I happily ate her portion as well. For my meal I ordered the Galician chicken ravioli. I loved the almond cream sauce which made for a very filling portion. The wine, like everywhere else in Spain, was great and actually well priced, despite this being a more expensive restaurant, we only spent 50 Euros for 2 dinners, 2 bottles of water and a glass of wine. For the quality of the food I'd say this is a must if you're in the mood for something other than tapas. read more
