The reasonable prices are a pleasent surprise. The greenish sauce at the table was delicious. Portion sizes are big. More than enough food for even a hearty appetite. Well worth the trip. Not that it needs another review, but here goes. A good place, and close to my house so it will definitely make the rotation. The only thing that keeps this place from being higher is that the DC market is fairly competitive when it comes to kebabs and gyros and such, if you know where to look. What I like: the taste of the more seasoned rice, the curry-ish flavor in the ground kebab, the brown spicy sauce, the low price and portions big enough that I can get a lunch out of it the next day. What I'm not crazy about: the plain rice doesn't do much for me, the white "yogurt" sauce seems a little shady -- if it's yogurt shouldn't they keep it cold? All in all, it's quite good and the best in the neighborhood, but I can think of several places down in the Tyson's area that I'd just as soon go to. read more

Reston Kabob is a nice gem found off of Reston County Parkway. I actually work in the general area, and if I'm famished (and have some extra time) I try to frequent Reston Kabob. The portions that they dish out are very large. One would think that this diminishes the quality; however, the food is quite tasty. Personally, I'm more a fan of the chicken - so to not want to take a post-lunch nap. The one negative (and this has nothing to do with the restaurant itself) is that it can get very busy towards lunch time. read more

It was great to return to Reston Kabob and validate who offers the best Gyro in Northern VA!! Hearty, flavorful, fresh, excellent environment at a great price. It had been about 8 months since my last visit to RK, they have since updated the interior w/bright colors, a nice update. I live and work in the Gainesville/Haymarket/Warrenton area several kabob shops have popped up, but none can compare to RK when it comes to food quality, flavor and value. There's an economics professor at George Mason University who has written about the business life cycle of a Mom & Pop ethnic restaurant. It's opened by someone who intimately knows and cares about the cuisine & service of the establishment, building a reputable business that attracts lots of admiring customers. At the height of its glory, the business is sold at a profit to someone else who then needs to cut corners in order to make a return on their investment. (It may even change hands several times, with each successive owner cutting more corners.) Bit by bit, the prices rise, the service falls, and the food becomes much less appetizing. Reston Kabob is the best place for kabobs in the area! This is kind of a hole in the wall type restaurant, but definitely worth mapquesting! I actually get cravings for their Chicken Kabobs. The meat is tender and juicy and very well seasoned. The price for lunch runs around $9-10 (so it's a little pricey), but you definitely get a lot of food. I never finish all my food as the kabobs come with two types of rice, a huge piece of their fabulous bread and a side salad. I have had their Gyro, it's good, a little on the greasy side, and it is also huge! Their kabob salad is pretty good too, but my favorite is definitely the chicken kabob. read more

Always a great go to. Usually my hubs and I split a double chicken but tonight I was craving a gyro so I got a salad. Wholly Smokes it is alot of food! It's dinner tonight and lunch and dinner tomorrow. Love their yogurt sauce, I swear I can drink that stuff. The portion is ginormous for its price, especially the gyro, but that's not the reason why I love this place. I had the beef kabob platter. The beef was dry and bland. The salad was iceberg lettuce with two tomato slices. They gave you a huge serving of rice that I couldn't finish because it was very dry. They don't give you any yogurt sauce which my beef kabob needed desperately. The bread was ok, but I've had better. Something is not right. The quality of the kobeeda kabob has dropped drastically. Haven't tried the gyro lately. It used to be pretty good. Another bone of contention is the salad version of all the kabobs. A ton of iceberg lettuce, 2 slices of tomato, 2 banana peppers, and some slices of white onion. No dressing except for the tzatziki and brownish green sauce bottles on the tables that don't taste very fresh either. What happened? This was my favorite go to place for kobeeda. I have been eating here for 5 years. I love the chicken kabob and get regular cravings for it. Something about the flavors and the combination of them seriously makes me force myself out the door on hideous nights because i will die without them. MMMMMM! I cant believe people get the ground meat, get a real kabob, this place blows others away. Kabobs are not cheap, spend the money enjoy. This is a great example of a back-to-basics independent restaurant. They make about nine things in different combinations. Flavors of the grilled meats are great and rice is always cooked to perfection. The salad is the standard pale variety, but it's a substantial portion. The fresh flatbread is the real treat, but eat it quickly because as it cools it toughens and loses a lot of its quality. This is my favorite kabob AND gyro joint hands down. The spicy chutney is the thing that separates Reston Kabob from the others. It's just incredible, hands down. I usually go with the gyro and it is always crisp, with a side of feta. The chicken is always flavorful and well colored. HINT: Go early, it is packed by noon! read more

The service staff the person taking the order keeps changing so it seems like they are having some trouble with running the place. Kabobs were dry the tables were dirty. This place is not particularly cheap, it's not particularly elegant, often there's not enough place to sit at lunch, they are not particularly fast at getting your food out (waited for up to 20/25 minutes), the guy at the cashier is not particularly friendly (smiles about one of 5 visits, I guess that's their way to have a customer reward program), but ...their Kebab is good.
