I would give this place zero stars if I could. The front desk person was loudly gossiping with another staff member about another staff member while I was in the waiting room which was unprofessional. The heifer technician was a bit aggressive with me to take off my jeans and was watching me undress to make sure I actually took my jeans off. It was weird and I was not comfortable but I needed the test and luckily it was a quick ordeal. I was misdiagnosed by the radiologist Dr. Albayati who wrote a bunch of BS in the report. Four days later I had emergency surgery due to his absolute incompetence and lack of follow up. This was reported and I was gaslit by the director who of course covered for him. I paI'd in full at the time of the visit and the received a bill for another $100+. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. read more

Stay away from this service provider! Like many other complaints across the Internet, you will not receive your bill and it will quickly be turned to a debt collector and assessed a late fee. The billing department will not make any attempt to contact the customer even though they have the phone numbers on file. They will not return your message when you are referred to the billing manager's voicemail. Very lazy and unprofessional. They seem to want to hurt their customers instead of helping them. Not sure how this place is in busines with so many bad reviews. I wish I had the chance to lookup the reviews prior to using their service, but in my case I went to the ER and didn't have a choice to pick the provider. read more

Horrible billing department and very dishonest. Do not pay for the radiology fees upfront as they will always tell you an inflated amount and then offer a 20% discount of which is still way higher than what your insurance company will tell you that you owe. After months and dozens of calls for reimbursement, they will always tell you that a credit will be issued in 15 - 30 days. Will never be going back here again. read more

This used to be one of the best radiology centers until this year. If you are a female getting an ultrasound of your upper body done, they require you to also get a mammogram even when two of your healthcare providers did not deem it necessary and did not provide a script for it because there was no basis. What about justification for insurance purposes of doing an extra diagnostic procedure without a script from your doctor? Who will be responsible for the coverage? read more

While the services were ok. The billing was beyond horrible. In a very short amount of time they turned my account over to a collection company. The billing office was horrible to communicate with. I had to speak with multiple people, was hung up on, and finally had to call back. I finally spoke with Daisy, who said that she was the "supervisor". She was not helpful at all, as all I wanted to do was pay my bill. She refused to pull the account back from the collection agency. I could not be more displeased with the billing service. Unfortunately, a 1 star rating is the lowest that I can put. read more

My Orthopaedic Surgeon sent me here for an MRI on my elbow. Appointment was scheduled for 5:00 pm. I arrived at 4:45 pm. For some reason they were running behind. They did not start my MRI until 5:50 pm - which was somewhat annoying as I had plans to be somewhere else - plans I ultimately had to cancel due to their scheduling issue. In any case, the two MRI technicians that I interacted with were nice folks. They could not use the Open MRI for this scan as they needed the highest resolution scan possible to find the problem with my elbow. Being in the MRI tube is loud, uncomfortable, and annoying. I had to lay face down with my left arm extended above my head, my right arm by my side, and my feet were propped up on some sort of foam insert. They gave me the MRI scan imagery on a CD to take to my Orthopaedic Surgeon. Even though the scan went late and the experience of the MRI machine was unpleasant - the folks were nice, professional, and the MRI scan allowed my Ortho surgeon to find the tear in the tendons in my elbow. Where to begin! Not sure who's study the radiologist was reading but it clearly wasn't mine. Said my scans showed a herniated disc in my thoracic region nothing in my neck region nothing that would be causing the issue I was having! I got a second opinion. I did not have a herniated disc in my thoracic region, I had a herniated disc in my neck. I had surgery to have it repaired and all the symptoms have resolved. So every other doctor I saw was basing their treatment off these reports. I understand they are human but there was some very big errors on these report. Very disappointed that I went through all this and it could have been resolved immediately instead of finding the right doctor to review the images with me and find the problem. if you know something isn't right get a second opinion. Not sure who to go to since this group covers almost all the hospitals in our area. read more

If you can avoid using Reston Radiology Consultants you will most definitely be better off. My newborn daughter had an ultrasound at the hospital (Reston Hospital) after she was born, and Reston Radiology provided the ultrasound. We never received an original invoice for the bill (which was apparently sent out in April) and only just received a final notice 2 weeks ago. One week later I got a letter that I had been referred to collections. Keep in mind, this ultrasound was done in April and I was referred to collections for the $75 bill in June. Since they do not trust me to pay a bill faster than two weeks, I will no longer trust them for my families care. read more

Avoid if possible. They sent our bill directly to a collections agency. Our appointment was Oct 7th and the collections agency contacted us 13 days later on Oct 20th claiming our account was delinquent and we would have to pay a fee on top of our bill. We never received a bill. It literally had been less than two weeks since our appointment. We provided them with our insurance information and everything else at the visit so there was no excuse for not billing us directly. Clearly something is very wrong with this practice. The primary care doctor send my elderly dad for Xray. The lady in the front office wasn't nice and she gave my suffering dad a far appointment, after 2 weeks. Also the glass main door doesn't have a push opening for handicap!!! And no body from the front desk cam to help to just handle when they see how is difficult to open with a Wheelchair! This was my second experience at Reston Radiology. The experience was as good as any medical procedure can be. The notifications prior to arriving asking me to fill out check-in paper work prior to arriving was very helpful. All online reminders were timely without being annoying. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful when I arrived. My wait was shorter than she indicated it would be. The changing facilities were suitable and the technician was excellent. She was very patient, explained the process thoroughly and was very helpful throughout. read more

On time they are not! I had orginally scheduled an appointment for Sunday at 11. I get a call at 10:30 on Sunday saying that the tech called out and that i should call and reschedule. Luckily i live fairly close but i would have been highly irritated if i lived father and had gotten there to find out it was not going to happen. My experience was somewhat unusual in that after being rescheduled from Sunday to Monday NIGHT at 8:30, i was told to go to the wrong place. After finding the correct building, they were running late. My 8:30 appointment got me home at 11PM. I did leave with the images and was told that because it was so late that they would fax over a copy of the report to my drs office. They did not. Customer service was fair and the staff was helpful. read more

I'll be talking to my referring physician about this place too, but this is not a good place to deal with. I get a phone call a 4:20 p.m. the day before my appointment about an issue. I'm told that I must call before 5 p.m. or the appointment will be canceled. I was at work and not in a place I could make the phone call, and they only gave me 40 minutes. They called and left a second message, minutes after the first message. The morning of my appointment, I'm told to not come in because of something with my insurance. It's an issue that other doctors have said happens all the time, and the insurance company says all the time. They refused to allow me to come in while the insurance was worked out. I'd attended other doctor's appointments with the same issue and those offices did not have a problem. "OK" in a whatever tone is the answer I got. Not good customer service. I fear for people who have to go here as it's obvious they know they're a big name in MRI in the area, but bad reviews are never a good thing. So now, it's time for my appointment and I'm still at home waiting for them to call me back after checking with the insurance company. Now it's coming out of my pocket and I have to do all the leg work when the insurance issues are resolved. Thanks for calling so late in the game to give me time to get these issues resolved so I can get the MRI I need before my prescription expires and I have to pay to go back to another doctor to get another prescription. read more

No complaints. I had a 9:30 AM appointment for a 10:00 AM exam. I had filled out registration material that was emailed to me prior to coming in, so registration when I got there was a snap. I was taken in for my exam at 9:45 AM. Everyone was courteous and professional. I was done by 10:30 AM. I had the written report on my Patient Portal the next evening. Went there for an emergency. never billed me or my insurance but turn me into collections. And then we're nasty about it when I called them to see what was going on. I got bills from four different departments on that visit all three of them build a birthday fine. These clowns couldn't seem to figure it out. Best radiology center out there! I have been to many places over the years, but this place is by far the best . Everyone is so pleasant and professional and kind. I always feel well taken care of when I have to get MRI's done. I am a little claustrophobic so they make sure to talk me through each set of tests, especially this last one which I had to have an injection of dye for it . I was very happy that they allowed me to have my husband sit in on the session with me. They were all very gentle , and I felt nothing during the injection part which was great! Im severely afraid of needles, and this was super quick and painless. Please go here if you are thinking of having any tests done in the near future! read more

My husband had services from Reston Radiology Consultants during a hospital visit. I never received a bill from them. The first I heard about a balance due was from a collections agency. I called the office and they said that they had sent bills (which I never received) and sent it to collections and I have to deal with the collections agency directly. I see from other reviews in the month that service was provided May 2020 that I am not the only one. read more

Disabled Veterans AVOID!! Went to Reston Hospital for an emergency. Had MRI. As a disabled veteran the Veterans Administration is responsible for paying for emergency bills once the emergency is confirmed. Emergency was confirmed. The Reston Hospital bills were paid by the VA with little problem. RRC was incapable of filling correct documents in a timely manner (under two years). Afterwards, they NEVER provided me with any documentation of the bill, nor of their correspondence with the VA. Now my Credit report is blackened due to RRC's inability to do their job correctly. Never was at Reston facility. My MRI was sent 20 miles away from hospital to them for review during emergency. read more

This review pertains to the Fairfax location. This is a medical office and staff at the front desk were not all wearing masks properly. Margarita was scrambling to put her mask on as I approached the desk and then was rude and abrupt during check in. Erica had her mask under her nose and was loud on the phone and after a phone call in which her frustration noticeably grew, she made a loud announcement wondering what was wrong with people and was taking her break and that maybe she would return. There was another person at the front who might be named Sarah had her mask hanging from one ear. If I didn't have to have the test for a doctor's appointment that can't be rescheduled, I would have left. Kerri (CT tech) however was awesome! I also complained to the front desk manager (Nikki) via phone and she was responsive and attentive. Would love to give no stars but need to give something to post and Kerri and NIkki were wonderful after all. I will provide feedback to the ordering physician. I also have opportunity to refer clients for imaging studies for work but will not use this location of Reston Radiology for any of my referrals. read more

Great experience, my mother broke her ankle in three places. The orthopedic physician ordered an MRI to help decide on surgery. The exam was scheduled as outpatient saving money the next day. The person on the phone was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. The office was clean and friendly, the exam was done on time and sent to the orthopedic physician without delay. The tech and radiology physician were friendly and took great care of my mother. It made her feel so much better despite her pain and unhappy accident. read more

While I was getting the tests leading to my breast cancer diagnosis, I got a lot of bills. I got no second notice, no call, nothing. THEY IMMEDIATELY SENT MY $37 BILL TO COLLECTION. So needless to say, I will NEVER do business with this place again. You certainly know how to treat people with cancer. read more

I had UFE with Dr. Caruana. The whole team was fantastic and the care I received before, during, and after the procedure was stellar. Procedures, even in-an-out ones, are terrifying and the staff took the time to explain everything and calm my nerves. Dr. Caruana's bedside manner is friendly and patient -- I never felt rushed -- and he took the time to answer all my husband's questions completely. I definitely recommend them. read more

Patients are asked to arrive 30 minutes before their scan time to complete paperwork and prepare for the scan. If one patient is late the next patient's scan time is postponed. If every patient throughout the day is 5 minutes late, by the afternoon the clinic may be behind, this is true of all MRI clinics. Please have consideration for other patients; arrive when requested, have all documentation needed for the scan, and cooperate during the scan to avoid unnecessary repeats so others are not delayed. read more
