Brunch was a great find at The Restoration

Great Bruch menu but lunch items also available. Great selection, good service and nice atmosphere overlooking the mountains of Crozet. Oh,the Bloody Mary was also a hit!

The deck, the view, the green. Mountains, grass, hills, and a beautiful Veronese sky: pink and sherbet clouds on robin-egg blue sky. And what a hot and sticky eve--and a gracefully compliant umbrella that bent it head to shield us from the fried egg sun. Solid burger, could've been anywhere. Fried green tomatoes and sauce. Fine. Did I mention the patio and the expansive view? It's great. Quite so.

I am a big fan of this restaurant. However, if you play golf and could enjoy a nice sandwich or anything thing to your liking you will be an even bigger fan of this restaurant. One of the more underrated restaurants in crozet. The service is great, quick and efficient. You can also make reservations at this restaurant which my parents enjoy. I believe this restaurant has a great vibe and ambiance. Also my sister held her sweet 16 here and it was a huge hit. This restaurant is 5 stars.

Fantastic Restoration burger this time. Highly recommended. Excellent fries too. Service same as my other review. Very good. Enjoy.

Went here for restaurant week and wow - this was the place to be. Located out in Crozet, this was such a beautiful location with some scenic views. We were seated in a lovely, dimly-lot dining room quickly and quickly made our choices: I went with the firecracker shrimp, the seared duck with risotto, and the french silk pie. The firecracker shrimp was flavorful with just a hint of spice and was well-balanced by the slaw served with it. I'm not the biggest duck fan, but this duck was just lovely and hearty. The risotto itself was my favorite part of the dish, perfectly creamy and rich. The french silk blew your store-bought french silk pie out of the water and was so rich yet light and was a great way to end the meal. Would definitely choose to go here for a special occasion and I can't wait to have an excuse to go back!

Friendly personnel, checked up on us very often... no complaint there with friendliness. Main complaint is that their rice is watery and the sauce on the salmon is not very appetizing. Pricing is not anything crazy, but the food is also not anything wonderful. Definitely recommend for a quick bite every once and a while if you're visiting Crozet, but again... nothing crazy delicious, both my salmon and rice were extremely watery. Do want to add: amazing view of the golf courses as well as a great view of the mountains with amazing scenery. Not busy at all when I came by around noon.

For the food, it was very pretty! It is definitely made with love! Just... not a ton of flavor. The in-house Honey Dutch syrup was sweet but not the in the traditional way that one associates with vanilla and they don't offer any other alternatives so I don't recommend ordering the French Toast as they are quite dry. They would have been lovely with tbe SMALLEST amount of syrup. The fruit portion was incredibly generous however. My partner's breakfast plate was again, underwhelming but not bad.

I had been excited to visit this restaurant since hearing such great things about it - it did not disappoint! The menu changes daily so check the website to ensure you like what's being offered. Most often you will. All entrées are served with a salad and bread, and the same sides of a starch and vegetable. This Saturday night I had the yellowfin tuna and it was so tender and cooked perfectly. M husband had the chicken, and while he does not prefer chicken thighs he really enjoyed his meal. We enjoyed a glass each of "house" Pinot noir and since wine is what they do very well it was a great choice since we didn't want a whole bottle. The ambience is country comfort and the service was charming and welcoming. This is after all a small town; the food quality was fresh and delicious. Will be back, and next time with friends.

When we walked it we were overwhelmed with choices. The menu takes up an entire wall and there are sweet, savory and traditional meals to choose from. I'm sure no matter what your preference is, you will find something that meets your palate here. We chose the chorizo, egg and avocado waffle and my wife had the wiskets (waffle+biscuits) and gravy. So this is where things started to become a little disappointing. The staff pointed us to an electronic kiosk to take our order, take a pager, and pay. Oh of course we were asked for a tip. (More on this later) We took a table and waited for our pager. We found silver and napkins at the service counter and wrangled those. When the pager went off, we went up to the counter and retrieved our food. So...the food was really well presented and designed for the Gram. It was tepid at best, and unfortunately, not really flavorful. The waffle was soggy, with more of the consistency of a pancake than a waffle. My wife had the wiskets and I'm not sure if the staff has ever had sausage gravy before, but they may want to try a different formulation. When we finished, we found the Dishroom where we needed to scrape and bus our plates. So if I have to ring up the transaction, seat myself, wait on myself and bus the tables, what am I tipping for? Maybe I'm just salty because we were very near $40 for a mediocre breakfast for two, but the tipping thing just feels a bit tone deaf.

I think it was because they enjoyed working there. Or, at least it give them a chance to eat some really tasty food. I had their Cubano Tartine. That's kind of like an omelet with the ingredients of a Cubano sandwich, except for the roll, mixed in. (And yes, I get that the cooking process is a bit different.) ' Anyway, this Cubano Tartine shows up on a plate in front of me. I dig in and keep digging. The ingredients, ham, cheese, pickles, etc, were plentiful and delicious. They were sitting on an ample slice of their sourdough bread. That was the first issue. It was IMPOSSIBLE to cut. I guess I could have asked for a steak knife or maybe a power tool. But, there was so much other stuff that I was able to have a very filling meal without it. The other issue was that the lightly dressed side salad was doused in dressing. Again, didn't complain because, for me, it wasn't a problem during this visit. Issues aside, if I come back to Hagerstown, I'll look for an excuse to come back.
