This is a delightful location. We have visited twice over the years. The cuisine was excellent. Unfortunately, the service and staff friendliness were subpar on this occasion, which surprised me, but it will not deter us from returning.

cup of soup and half a sandwhich- yum!!

We had a great lunch at Stella Bella and Lucy's. We had to wait to be seated but the wait was shorter than they predicted. We had half sandwhich and soup- that tomato soup is great and everything was super well prepared. The service was friendly and efficient and the room was very cosy. Highly recommend for an easy sandwhich for lunch!

Turkey BLT with scoop of potato salad

Enjoyed the Turkey Reuben, potato salad and broccoli salad. Consistently tasty every visit. The turkey seems hand carved and moist - leaving the bottom price of roasted rye bread slightly damp. The potato salad seems fresh - the celery 'crunches.' With big cubes of potato, and a slight sweetness, SB&L potato salad is among my favorites. The broccoli slaw has changed a little bit. The ingredients seem the same, and the bits seem to be chopped smaller. I am happy that more fits in my bowl. Portions are generous and I took about half home with me. The restaurant is open for brunch and lunch. Extra parking in the rear with a separate entrance (with steps.) Definitely recommend.

The restaurant is located in downtown Waynesboro. I tried the Granny, & a side of fruit. The place was quaint, & cute. I felt like I was eating in the middle of an antique restaurant. The name is all the name's of their dogs. The sandwich was tasty, I didn't realize the side of fruit would have an up charge, but that's okay, I was just trying to be healthy instead of getting chips haha. Also just keep in mind that it does close very early, so don't expect to eat dinner here. The service is nothing to write home about, but it wasn't necessarily bad either.

Wonderful lunch with a couple of my Tai Chi buddies. Charming atmosphere.I got the Pineapple Boat with chicken salad. I was starving and ate it all. Perfect for my WW lifestyle. Server was attentive and efficient. A total delight!

The space itself gives you a family bar feeling. Looks like it would be a great locals spot. They had enough tables for any size groups and it was very clean. For appetizers we had the fried pickles and pork rinds. I'd give the fried pickles a 2/5, they had flavor but lacked crunch. The breading was missing on 80% of the pickle. The pork rinds, FRIEND, those were probably the highlight of my meal. The sizzle and pop, the crunch, flavor...I'm drooling just thinking about them again. I don't think I can ever have them from a bag again. 5/5 Main Coarse we ordered the mac-n-skilled with pulled pork, the kids chicken taco with tots, brisket stuff shells, and brisket Philly cheesesteak with a side of hush puppies. Mac-n-skillet, the meat was a tad bit dry but had a good amount of cheese. Creamy. Only downside was the pork. 3.5/5. The Brisket Philly was cheesy, meat was good, great flavor just a bit too greasy. Hush puppies were good, nothing stood out in particular. 4/5. The kids chicken taco and tots were ok. Not enough cheese and the tortilla was hard, tots were just right. 3.5/5. The brisket stuffed shells were unique, loved the flavor just a bit too much cheese to meat ratio for me personally. The brisket was cooked perfectly. Would order again. 5/5 We were in and out in less than an hour. We were never rushed and the atmosphere was warm. The prices are reasonable as well.

Everything came out hot and crispy, and both the fish and the shrimp had the lightest touch of batter so the seafood flavor really came through. We ordered extra sides (a steal at $3 each!) of mac and cheese and beans. You could make a meal out of the mac and cheese itself-it is a very generous portion of creamy, cheesy goodness! The standout for me of all the dishes was the baked beans. You have never had beans like this. Trust me. I rarely eat beans because they're often too sweet, but Papa's beans are only slightly sweet and laced with an amazing smokey flavor (they are cooked with smoked brisket). I'm excited to come back and try the collard greens! On top of all the fantastic food, Jamar, the owner and chef, came out to ask us about our meal, which was the highlight of our visit. You will not meet a nicer, more caring restaurant owner! He really cares about his customers and you can tell the food is made with heart. It is truly a family business, with Jamar's mom behind the counter and home cooked recipes on the menu. It is worth the wait to get food this good, so kick back with a beer at one of the tables outside while your food is being prepared with love! 5 stars for food, 10 stars for service. It's like going to someone's home for dinner. Pro Tip: You can't see Papa's from the road if you are on North Delphine. It is on the backside of the mini-market on the corner (you may see the picnic tables on the side-that's where Papa's is!).

My wife and I stopped in and got two chicken sandwiches. All and all these sandwiches alone demonstrated a keen eye for quality. The chicken was tender and the breading has a good flavor. I look forward to this restaurant opening its doors completely. If you are just traveling through the area or are a local. I except this place to become a hometown classic.

It wasn't very crowded, maybe 6 or 7 other tables with 2-4 people each. You had to pre-order your prime rib to ensure they had one for you. Not wanting the prime rib, I ordered the pork chop dinner along with the two sides. They were out of pork chops. They asked what else I would like, I asked if they would do the prime rib at the pork chop price, about a $15 difference. They (the server) said no. The only other choice was sandwiches or a shrimp scampi. I didn't want either, so I just asked if I could get the sides instead (a baked potato and asparagus). She said she would put the order in. When the food came out, all I ended up with was my appetizer (6 oysters Rockefeller). I asked about the side and was told by yet another waitress that they don't do that. Three different waiters/waitresses. No manager ever came over. Way over priced (1 shrimp scampi -$32, one half Caesar salad - $6, one half order (6 anorexic) oysters Rockefeller-$19, 2 good old fashions - $30 plus a mandatory 20% gratuity. I still had to stop on the way home to get something to eat. Poor management and exorbitant pricing makes for a poor business model. But I guess the members get a pretty steep discount so they gouge the non-members to keep the doors open. Not likely to go back and would definitely NOT put my name on any kind of recommendation for this place. Spend your money elsewhere, anywhere, just not here.
