What a beautiful job they did with design. The amazing dining room is on the third floor and when you arrive on the last step, you feel like you're walking in to the fanciest patio. I've been a few times since they've opened as its always booked on the weekends thus I recommend reserving in advance. They have a nice menu, but expect to spend money on this meal. The vibe is awesome, the food is just ok (to me) for the price. The service is on point but does come with some pretentiousness too. One of my customers told me about this new RH restaurant and said we had to go. I love RH but not sure that I understand or agree with how furniture is priced. I mean why do I have to have a membership to get lower pricing? How about stop shipping 50 pounds worth of catalogs for free and removing the membership? I have RH baby and child plus adult furnishing before this new setup. However, this is not about that. This review is for the food. So on our next business meeting, we scheduled lunch here. I have to say that the ambience and the look of the restaurant is top notch. I love the waterfall at the parking. I love the way the furniture store looks like an expensive museum gallery. I love how the café portion looks like you're in the park but a fancy park inside. It made me feel like I was somewhere other than Texas other than Dallas. Now to the service.... I did not experience bad service like some of the other reviews suggested. Our server was very attentive and kept coming by to ask us if we needed anything. We didn't have any mishaps during the meal everything seemed to go correctly. We ordered lunch and I will say it is very expensive for what you get. Plus I'm not really sure what the theme of the restaurant is in terms of food. It seemed like it was a lot of random dishes that were al la carte. I had the lobster roll and truffle fries. This was like over $40 for both. One of my friends/customers had the shaved ribeye sandwich with broccolini. We also had one of the salads and the artichoke appetizer. We were surprised that the artichoke appetizer was fried with Yukon potatoes that were fried. It tasted good but was a little greasy. I would not say the portions were extraordinary and for a lunch you wouldn't be sleepy returning back to work from over eating. So while we didn't get very much food, we spent a lot of money...over $60 per person. I think I left hungry. But I left feeling special having enjoyed something new and exclusive. The question is would I return? Well that answer is yes but only if I wasn't paying, had a cute outfit I hadn't worn wanting a place to go and not that hungry. 3.5 rounds up to 4 stars because it was not bad. read more

The aesthetics are great but the food is unmemorable. We ordered a prosciutto board that was cute but could be made at home for less than $10. My entree was the shaved ribeye which was over-salted and minimally plated. The whole menu is aesthetic and minimal but I expected more, especially at this price point. You are truly paying for ambience rather than a culinary experience. The servers were amazing and the food is good but honestly not worth the price point . Had high hopes for this being this new go to date / drinks spot considering we live within walking distance, but unfortunately it fell short. We went on a Monday night and with almost all of the tables empty, they sat us right next to another group, were we were basically eating with them. Big downer is that there are NO cocktails. Wine and beer only. I chatted with our waitress about a dry rose and she recommended one that I ultimately sent back (I've literally never done this before), it was everything i asked not to have in a rose. Appetizers were okay, burrata was our favorite. Overall, there are some really good places in this area so take your money to one of those. read more

There were mixed reviews on Yelp for this rooftop restaurant but I must say that I loved it! A little shopping before dinner then I walked upstairs to the spectacular setting. New store is AMAZING! Huge 3 story furniture store, very bright and airy. It feels like you're in someone's mansion. Make sure to walk through each part of the store, they had such unique pieces. Free street parking for up to 2 hours. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, however reservations are booked for up to a month. If you don't have reservations can still grab a drink at the bar and sit on the couches at the outside portion of their restaurant. Definitely a must visit! read more

Honestly, A for aesthetics and F for food. I usually come to restaurants to enjoy the food and if it is aesthetically pleasing then that's a plus, not the other way around. If you do enjoy how things look over the food, then RH is right up your alley. Obviously, this is more of a furniture store that incorporates a restaurant to have more traffic and more interest, which is a smart move but I wouldn't come back for the food. Everything is extremely overpriced and not even tasty. I got the fries and the lobster roll. The fries were basic fries for $10 and the lobster roll was over $30, very dry and overcooked. If you want truffle fries I think it's over $20, I could go to Hopdoddy for something similar and half the price! This place does get packed because of the aesthetics. You need to make reservations and if you're here, might as well take as many pictures as you can to make it worth your while. I would definitely not be back. There are better food places in Dallas that are both aesthetically pleasing and better tasting food. Our service was mediocre. It took forever to get the menu, to get everything ordered and to get our check and pay. They didn't ask if we wanted our check split or not until probably 30 minutes after picking up the check so that took even longer. The one good thing? It was our friend's birthday so they did bring out free warm cookies, definitely the only tasty thing there. read more

Worst service experience. Came there for my sisters birthday brunch and the whole time I had to flag down our waitress for everything from water, utensils, to order, to get the check, etc. Train your staff to take care of guests because as a server myself this was astonishing how bad they are at getting a check cashed within a damn hour. read more

The two stars I am giving is solely for the beautiful ambience. Good God, the staff was incredibly rude and very pretentious. My husband and I went for a brunch on a weekday. There were maybe 5 tables seated. The hostess seemed to have a hard time smiling. She was rude to my husband and made us wait 15-20 minutes. Despite having multiple tables available, she assigned us seats literally with another rather large group. This is during a pandemic, mind you. It is absolutely insane to have such a set up. We politely asked the lady seating us if we could be seated elsewhere. The lady seemed so bothered by such a simple request! There were many empty tables. She decided to be a smart ass and pointed to another table and said, "well this seats 6 people, so...." I said we didn't ask for that, how about a table for two? My Mom had the lobster role and my sister had the shaved ribeye sandwich....both were sub par. My smoked Salmon was just okay. Belinis and mimosas are $15 a piece. Such a rip off. My elderly Mom made an honest mistake with the tip (splitting between two cards). After only 1 hour at our table we were asked to leave. You're paying for the experience and the ambiance. Period. Food was average. There was nothing wrong with the food, per say, but nothing blew us out of the water. (Just FYI: No cocktails was a bummer as my husband isn't the biggest fan of wine.) Seats were pretty close together and I felt like we were right on top of the next table. We both had the burgers ($26 each with bacon added) and I had the regular fries ($10) and my husband had the truffle fries ($18). That coupled with a glass of wine ($15) and a glass of rose ($16), a bottle of fancy water the waitress snuck in (make sure to ask for tap otherwise they will bring you something you have to pay for!) and the bill was over $120. We'd never balk at a bill like that IF it was worth it. This food was not. If we're going to spend that, we both decided we'd rather go to an nice steak house or Jalisco Norte. We made a reservation about a month in advance and were very excited to check out the new spot. We were seated in the middle of the room right near the fountain, which although was beautiful, splashed us the entire visit and had a puddle all around it. I ordered a hot chai latte, which was far from hot, I had to send it back to be heated up. We felt that we were constantly spoken down to by our server. We had "good ole dallas tap water" instead of sparkling or bottled, which was implied as unacceptable by our server. She appeared appalled we were "only" having appetizers. Once she saw me on yelp the service was a complete 180 and she brought us complimentary bread. The burrata and mushrooms were fine, but definitely not worth the price. I've ordered a fair amount online from Restoration Hardware in our move from Chicago to our new house in Dallas... and now I remember why I almost always order online: the retail stores offer TRULY terrible service. When I walked up to the POS, none of the people working made eye contact (just one was "actively" working with a customer). One customer left his phone at the counter and, after he came back for it, I engaged with him more than any employee around did. Once I finally got an employee's attention, I told him that I wanted to order a chandelier. I handed him the catalogue page with the exact item number on it, which he confirmed and then promptly charged me for the larger one. Instead of resolving the issue quickly or explaining what was going on to me, his exact words, before picking up the phone and disconnecting from me completely, were: "hmmph, I did this wrong". After I waited for 10 minutes, he told me I could leave and that it would be right "eventually". I was sent away with no receipt. As I was walking out, I noticed that every employee looked down each time a customer came by them. Why are they working in retail if they don't want to engage with anyone? Over the next several weeks, I got multiple emails with different prices in them for what I would be charged. The chandelier came much later and was fine, but overall it was a horrible experience. Design team wasted months of time preparing a design that was bland, not to scale and did not meet outlined objectives. They are argumentative and do not listen. We came in with layout, list of pieces we want to acquire, color scheme asking for complimentary pieces. Instead, they tried to push a design that did not include any of the pieces, colors or requirements. It is like they had a design for someone else and tried to push on us. From the buttery yellow curtains you had blowing in the gentle breeze of the the summer catalog (circa 2006) to the crisp, clean and organized office painted red in the catalog of 2001, your style makes me shiver with delight. Yes you are pricey, but you are also worth it too. Always, Melrose Seriously though, if you are looking to spruce up your house and you have some dough to spend, look no further. Everything in this shop is greatness from the thick bedding to the grapefruit ginger hand creme and elephant napkin holders. Don't you just lurve a good elephant? It's also great if you don't have a lot of dough. What sets this place apart from the other furniture shops in this hood (besides the old school, vintage style) is the fact that they have small, inexpensive gifts. Every year Santa gets me some sort of awesometown present from this place. This year it was a beautiful silver frame with a picture of snow in NYC (the pic might have something to do with the beauty of it). And what makes this normally four star review a fiver? SCRABBLE. They have the most beautiful and wonderful Scrabble board. It is made out of sturdy wood, spins easily for multiple players and even has a drawer for all of the pieces. My step mom got it from her employees at Christmas (GREAT present p.s.) and we play it every time I'm in town. I came here for dinner with a friend. She had already come for brunch and spoke so highly of her experience that I wanted to try it. I was very pleased with my dining experience. When I walked into the store I was immediately greeted by someone and instructed on how to access the restaurant. The stairs leading to the restaurant are gorgeous and worth walking the 3 flights. The terrace views and decor inside the restaurant were really nice. We both enjoyed our wine and food. We had chicken and salmon and both were GREAT! My husband and I went here for an early dinner without reservations. They do not allow a wait list, but we found if you walk up and they have tables they will seat you; turns out 4:30 on a Wednesday was perfect! We had a great, friendly server who was very attentive (I think his name was George, it was hard to hear with the masks). To start, we had the burrata, which comes with sourdough and peppers. All amazing. My husband is from SF and agreed that the sourdough was delicious and fresh. Main course, we both ordered the lobster roll and shared the Parmesan fries with come with a truffle aioli dipping sauce. All to die for! My husband said he liked his lobster roll more than the ones we had in Boston. The bread was again delicious. The aioli with the fries was delicious and the fries themselves were thin cut with some crispy and some softer fries. For dessert we had a scoop of vanilla gelato and the chocolate chip cookie. The gelato was perfect and smooth, and a generous scoop. The cookie was warm with salt sprinkled on top; the picture doesn't do it justice. Of course it's worth mentioning the restaurant and all of RH are gorgeous. We loved sitting in the bright greenhouse with all of the light pouring in and fountain in the middle, though we did find it funny that all of the plants including the trees are fake. I am a designer who has worked for a wide range of furniture stores for years and working with Dallas RH has been my worst experience with any furniture store EVER. Working with Beth, one of the store managers, and Michelle has been a nightmare. I needed some hardware pieces for a baby crib we got 3 years ago. I started following up with them when I was pregnant, and now my baby is four months old and still the crib is not ready. Once, after almost 4 months of following up, they said they found the hardware, the very last set in the whole country!, but they sent it to the wrong address (not my place) and they lost it. They claimed that they can only find the screws from Home Depot, so I supplied the less common parts, such as brackets from other sources. And here are the screws that they sent! Wrong size for a crib that its safety is the most important factor. That is such a shame for a premium brand to be so incompetent to handle basic tasks such as mailing a box to the right address, or providing the right hardware size. I don't know whether the RH headquarters is aware of the damage that their Dallas branch does to their reputation. Definitely I won't use them for my own furniture or for any clients in the future. read more

We were looking for new living room furniture and he offered one option for the couch and chairs (which we had suggested) and provided one option for lights, tables and rugs. My wife asked if there were any other rugs we could consider and they showed us small swatches. She asked if there were any larger samples as the swatch was very small and he told us no. He pushed to get our CC and close the purchase out. My wife said we also needed a bedroom suite. He told us to go look around the store and if we saw anything we liked to send him a picture. While we were looking around we found a room filled with full size rugs including he one we ordered. We spent $30,000 and haven't received a follow up call or email to either thank us or ask if we needed anything else. He could have sold us twice that amount. So sad, this is the 2nd location that we have been to and both times we have been snubbed by the sales staff. Must be a training issue but assuming makes an ass out of you. My intention was to purchase a piece I found online from them, which to receive additional discounts you have to become a member a $100.00 fee. No problem gladly paid it. I just wanted to make sure the piece I wanted look as good in person. Which it did, however the sales staff didn't even attempt to help us, I guess my Prada purse wasn't expensive enough for them. I will call the 1-800 number and try to get my membership back I've been treated better at worse places than that. I will never "attempt" to buy anything from restoration. Don't waste your time!!!
