My husband and I have alot of family buried at this cemetery. We very recently made a visit to locate his father's grave marker. The grounds are a disgraceful state and that is being kind. We then returned to attend to a family matter and upon entrance to the outdated and shabby administration quarters. We were met by a very unprofessional and ignorant "DALIA". She was smug, uneducated and had an unpleasant look to herself with the badly dyed fake blonde hair. Dalia is the type of person who has no control over anything in her life and uses her position to give grief ridden families a difficult time. I strongly discourages NOT TO BURY YOU FAMILIES HERE. My family buried my grandmother here. The management is inconsiderate and very rude. They dug the wrong hole for my grandma and had us waiting over 2 hours during the burial to fix their mistake. It's also important to note that the reason we were waiting for 2 hours is because the management team refused to bury my grandmother in the hole WE PAID FOR! The burial took place in July 2025 and now here October 2025 my family finds out they put her tombstone in the wrong place. Management here do not take accountability and they continue to not show any remorse for their mistake. Please research places to bury love ones before doing it. We learned from our mistakes through mixed emotions and being overwhelmed. Manager Jason Pasyk and Dalia Vargas need to be replaced. They have given my family a hard time during this tough season in our life's... Especially for my Grandfather. Do not recommend this cemetery. read more

For the last 60 years we have had all of our loved ones buried at Resurrection Cemetery. Since I was going to be in town, I decided to go check on my recently departed mother's gravesite, making sure her headstone had been installed. Her headstone was perfect, but I was horrified to see that the rest of our families headstones were mostly covered by the grass that had crept over. Apparently the maintenance personnel simply mows over everything, and nothing is edged. Is this common practice? And since no family members still live nearby, it's not as though we could do periodic maintenance. I realize that edging each headstone would require a lot of time, but being naive, I assumed this would be part of regular maintenance. read more

I buried my dad here about 2 years ago and I have always put decorations and also have put many Jesus crucifix crosses and have all been broken or taken off or maybe even stole by the own workers or other people around. Many of our neighbors have also complained about decorations and many other things being taken or lost and the cemetery has been very inconsiderate about our loved ones and our decorations and take no accountability for what's going on. read more

Well, there is quite a bit for me to see in this cemetery - - final resting place for a lot of family members. MEMORY LANE When I was a kid, coming to the cemetery was a bit of an event. It was something we did through the warmer months on Sunday afternoons. Back then, people really cared for the graves. They were allowed to plant flowers the length of the grave. Sometimes my brothers and I would help my grandparents, aunt and uncle caring for the graves. We would pull weeds or go to a pump to get water for the flowers. Sometimes we would get bored and go to a nearby section where there was a "hill" and we would play and roll down the hill. Before we left for the long ride home, we would stop at the office building to use the restrooms. The inside of the building was different then. As I remember, the staircase leading down to the basement to the restrooms was in the middle of the building. I always found those restrooms fascinating - - they were very large with many stalls and even in the 1950-60's they were already old-looking (in an interesting way) and had a certain style and charm about them. At some point, things changed and you couldn't plant flowers over the graves. You now had to follow new rules for decorating the graves. Times changed and people found new ways to entertain themselves on Sundays. They didn't need all those stalls in the restrooms, so those basement restrooms were closed off and new, smaller restrooms were built on the main floor. AND NOW As mentioned in other reviews, they are pretty strick about the grave decoration rules. We stopped in the office to check for a grave on the self serve kiosk and it was not working. There was a wait for help at the desk, so we left. Hours change with the seasons, so check the hours. Although the office hours are shorter than cemetery hours, the building is usually open with access to the restrooms. When using main entrance on Archer Road, the mausoleum is to the left. The office building is to the right. The interment Chapel is a few sections east of the office building. The Chapel is a good option to a gravesite burial during inclement weather. There is another entrance to the cemetery on Robert's Road (the east side of the cemetery). GHOST STORY "Resurrection Mary" is the famous ghost associated with this cemetery. read more

I would have written a glowing report on the way the cemetery has changed... When my husband passed away four years ago things were being taken off the grave by cemetery workers on a daily basis. Then I believe they got a new director and for two years everything was wonderful. Now this same nightmare has started again where you spend a lot of money put it on your loved one's grave and then it disappears.. Just yesterday I went to my late husband's grave and it was totally devoid of anything I had put there just weeks ago. It makes you wonder if they're not enjoying riding by with their little cart and snatching things off the grave, knowing how upsetting this will be to the people who are trying to memorialize them....Do they even care,? Don't judge a cemetery, ever. This place is beautiful and easy to walk to. I have many relatives buried in this cemetery. Yes, there are woods nearby here. You can look in the back section for deer that walk by. It's pretty cool to see them! This is also easy to drive if you know where the relatives are. It can be confusing if your relative is in the grass. The buildings are usually easy for me to look at them. Also, if your relative is buried in the grass, please make sure you bring a shovel when there is snow on the ground! It can be hard to find your relatives with snow on the ground! Nothing bad to say about this cemetery my dad was put to rest here along with his grandfather, dad, & mom this place is so big and very well taken care of. Everyone we encounter here was extremely nice, helpful, & professional. We had a hard time finding the grave site and two grounds men riding in the golf cart went above and beyond to help us find the plot we were searching for. We ended up staying here for a couple of hours just walking around reading the scriptures on the tombstones and admiring the beauty here Their were some very pretty green birds flying around which were a joy to watch and listen to since I have never seen these types of birds Lovely cemetery read more

Been coming to Resurrection Cemetery since 1973. We have always cleaned the grave sites every week with no complaint about it. Two week ago, 7/26, I was told by a female security that I could no longer use the weed whacker. She recommend I buy a small grass trimmer. Did want to cause any problem so I did. I just want to spend time with my Mom, brother, grandparents and uncle. Well today not far from where I was, there was a guy with a Weed whacked and a blower. That woman security was sitting in the cart not far from where the guy was. She didn't tell him anything. She was talking to this other guy for about 30 mins. When she drove away she stop by the guy with the weed whacker started texting and then just left. This was this morning, August 9 around 10:30 up behind the Lady of Guadalupe statue. Because writing reviews about cemeteries is apparently A Thing I Do, it's high time for yours truly to weigh in on Resurrection. The long and short of it: four grandparents buried here (two inside the mausoleum, two outside). The pros? It's a beautifully kept cemetery (the grounds are always clean) and the stained glass windows in the mausoleum are breathtaking. Like...amazingly so. The con--and it's a doozy--using the computer to find a friend or relative's burial site? Goooood luck. For one, I've never been able to locate anyone in an outside plot using the computer system (located just inside the mausoleum). Okay, fine. I have zero spatial awareness but I suppose I could hit up my parents for clarification, so...yeah. But here's the deal: I couldn't use said computer system to locate my grandparents in the mausoleum. Seriously. My husband and I stood there in contemplative silence before we took a few ganders at what we meant by the letters and numbers. It took a few tries, but after a lot of wandering--I remembered the general area, but had no idea about the floor--we found them. So while it's a gorgeous building with neatly kept grounds, if you're a first-time or infrequent visitor, you might want to ask someone "in the know" before trekking onward and hoping to find the resting spot of your loved one(s). read more

Update: They have all kinds of crazy rules regarding decorations that they gave us when we were leaving the cemetery instead of when we were entering. Okkk then. They will probably take down our decorations a third time. read more

For years, they've taken away flowers from my uncle grave and I know the workers have done this to MANY other families. Today, my family came to visit my uncle and all the decorations in that area were completely destroyed!! Everything was smashed and broken. You'd think it was intentional with how much damage there was to everyone's decorations. read more

Resurrection Cemetery is a lovely final resting place to many famous people from ball players to political figures. Look up particular graves online and take a tour if you're inclined. My favorite thing about this cemetery was the incredible artistry in the headstones. Beautiful catholic iconography and wonderful photos of Polish families makes for hours of wandering with camera in hand. read more

C;mon people....you can't rate a cemetery based solely on one person who works there. This cemetery is beautiful and I go there often. It's well managed and the sections are clearly marked so navigating it fairly easy. There are many beautiful monuments and markers there just begging to be photographed. The mausoleum is spectacular having the largest stained glass windows in the world. I read one review complaining about animal droppings all over the place. Well, for heaven's sake! THAT'S WHAT THEY DO! It was also mentioned that someone should get rid of the geese. Seriously? All in all, a wonderful place to visit and photograph. I highly recommend it. Just a note.....the listing says the hours are until 4 PM. That's the office and mausoleum. The cemetery itself is open later. Call for current hours. read more

Had flowers taken from my parents grave site twice in a two week span. The third time I visited I actually caught the workers take the flowers and toss them into the back of a mini cart. I naturally was vivid, since it was only the beginning of June ! When I questioned the employee, his only response was "He didn't speak English". Flowers/decorations are being stolen by employees and most likely resold! So for the past year and half my flowers have been going missing after a couple days. I recently spoke to a lady who spends hours near her husbands grave and she said seen the maintenance crew loading huge bags of decorations into their vehicles. When she made a complaint she was told that there was no way that it possible and there was nothing they could do.. Reading the reviews and everyone saying the same thing there is something going on and the cemetery needs to be held responsible. read more

My dad's grave is in a beautiful spot with other family members. However, I agree with other reviewers about grave decorations being removed. Every time we put something down for my dad - it's gone by our next visit. Put beautiful decorations out on Memorial Day only to find them gone on Father's Day. Anything Cubs related - is gone too. I don't know if someone is stealing them or if workers are taking them down. The management team needs to tell workers NOT to remove anything from graves unless it is the that scheduled time of year. Have some respect for the those of us mourning our family members. read more

I spoke to Diana today regarding my son's missing decorations. I was advised that their incompetent employees accidentally threw everything away. The cemetery refused to offer any reimbursement for their mistake. All the children in my son's section were left with no toys or decorations. I see this is a reoccurring issue based on all the complaints. I will make sure to post this on every social media outlets until this ridiculous issue is resolved. Management, you should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this to happen. read more

My dad and aunts and uncles are in the big historical mausoleum. Grandparents and great grandparents are in the cemetery. Can't relate to the missing or destroyed/vandalized decorations problem, I rarely bring any, my presence is what is important. Which brings me to my 2-star rating. I like to sit on the furniture by my dad's crypt and it is often buggy/gnats. Control it "Resurrection"!.....or dump and replace that furniture. Those crypts cost us a small fortune and the least you can do is make sure we don't have to sit there scratching. And a notice to others in the mausoleum.......don't bring in fresh flowers......it attracts these bugs! read more

I went to the cemetery today with my mother to remove the flowers on my father's grave but it appears their workers already took care of it. The arrangement along with his flag and military display were gone. All that was there was some broken foam pieces from the arrangement. We could see tire tracks in the grass that went directly over his grave and others. I have pictures that visibly show the tracks. What a shame that they are so disrespectful. We have had other times too where his arrangement disappeared. This is a catholic cemetery and their workers have no respect. Shame on them. read more

I first started coming to Resurrection when my dad passed back in 2001. Mom joined dad in 2006. I will say, the grounds are kept nice. They recently re-paved one of the roads. I've read other review sites people complaining about goose and deer droppings. Please, what do you expect? Where you have water, you have fowl and it's a safe haven for the deer. I'm more concerned about the people who work in the office. Not all, but today I spoke with a young lady who sounded like she was put out that I asked if the grounds keepers could raise my parent's headstones as they are sinking into the ground. I'm sorry missy, you get paid to do administrative work. It's not like I asked her to personally go out and throw a little dirt under the headstones. We wouldn't want her to get up off her duff or attempt to break a nail. I sure hope she doesn't handle newly grieving folks this way. read more

This has been the family cemetery for two generations. It's upkeep is beautiful. That is about it. Recently I have been experiencing the decorations left at the grave site they are always being removed. Not stolen like some people are made to believe but removed. The excuse is they do not meet policy. The policy for the summer is that there should be not metal. What silk or plastic flower does not have metal in it. So what they are really trying to enforce as they did back in the 60's and 70's are no decorations. read more

I have many grandparents, great-grandparents, and other relatives (some very distant) that are either interred or buried here. The staff are always very professional and kind to me when I ask for specific directions in locating my loved ones. I've never had a problem with anyone here. The mausoleum and the graveyard grounds are kept very clean and it's always quite peaceful here for me. read more

Over the past 18 years since my Father-in-Law was buried at Resurrection, we have encountered several disturbing instances where decorations have been damaged, but accept it as something that happens. Today what I observed was not only unbelievable, but totally unacceptable. The wreaths on both my in-laws graves, each valued well in excess of $30, were not damaged, they were totally destroyed. There was a new grave nearby, and obviously the workers drove the heavy equipment directly over 2 wreaths, showing complete disrespect for the deceased, for the family of the deceased, as well as total disregard for the appearance of the cemetery. There was plenty of room to drive around the wreaths, or they could easily been taken out, moved, and put back. This might take all of 2 minutes. instead what was done is what I would consider inhumane. The cemetery claims that they are not responsible for damage. Well, this was not damage, this was destruction. While we attempt to visit frequently, and keep the graves neat and well-appearing, we are working against workers who obviously have absolutely no consideration for the families of the deceased nor for the appearance of the cemetery. read more
