Fast forward SIX months. I'm just now being told I have a balance? NOTE: I'm on Medicare w/Plan G coverage. First a cryptic email last week stating I have a balance and my bill is on the way?? I can go online and make a payment. NO. I've met my deductible. Why this now? I contacted ins. who validated they'd made payment to RC months ago. Today I get a bill in the mail stating I owed the FULL amount of service & it was due immediately. On the back side it states, "Due to OUR system error, we were unable to send you statements. We are giving you an additional 60 days to pay." Seriously? I called RC today. They said this bill was an error, I owe nothing, but it was sent as they "JUST" received payment from ins. Again - NO. Payments were processed and sent to RC in APRIL & JUNE accordingly. I am incensed by the apparent & complete lack of organization, poor communications & the blatant inaccuracy of the bill. Never again.

Del Pero Eye Center - Dr. Del Pero started my consultation visit off with asking about my vaccination status rather than asking what my issue was with my eye.

Dr. Del Pero is the best eye surgeon I have ever met. He is very thorough, professional, and highly…read moreskilled. I have read some of the reviews which really surprise me. Either people are not informed, or are not responsible for themselves. People also need to understand the reality of working in Medical Care. The number of "no show" appointments, failure to see their primary providers, not having stuff done which should have been done prior to coming in for an appointment, showing up late, etc. I have been to Dr. Del Pero's office several times either for myself or family members. I have used his services for surgery four times, and non-surgical eye trauma with referral to a retinal specialist once, and 3 times for corneal injuries. I have never seen, experienced, or have heard any negativity of him or his staff. As he is an ophthalmologist, a surgeon, he deals with serious eye issues. He is not an optometrist. People need to be aware what their insurance coverages they have before they see a doctor. This is really not his job, but they will give approximate estimates. It is ironic people go in and expect everything to be "Covered". It is a also sad to think everything is an emergency. If an eye issue is something that comes on slowly, its more of an age related issue, such as Cataracts. Glaucoma, Retinopathy, etc. In most cases not an emergency. This being said, you may not get in immediately. I got hit in the eye with a foreign object. I lost part of my vision, I wanted to keep my vision, and I would not have picked any other surgeon then Dr. Del Pero. He saved my eye! People need to realize the caliber of what type of a physician he is. He is one of the highest rated eye surgeons in America. He was a pioneer and insturmental in LASIK surgery and more. He is not going to small talk with you, he is going to tell you what you need to know, what the problem is, and what needs to be done. My first visits with him were for my father in the 1990's. Age related cataracts. I researched, I called the insurance companies, I did my research. You just don't go in to get a cataract taken care of. You need to see your primary, get a referral, get an appointment, get an exam, get a diagnosis, get labs, EKG, pre operative prescriptions, get scheduled, pick up post operative prescriptions, follow your pre op orders, go to surgery, do your post op care, do a follow up, and then follow up again. As busy as he is, I have always been able to get an appointment based on the acuity of the issue. I hope anyone reading this understands the reality of medical care and perhaps some of the banter on this review from other people can be "Sour grapes". Thank you Dr. Del Pero and staff. My family and I appreciate you!

As well as informing their patients in what to expect for their appt. BEFORE the actual appt. it self!! I've been here 3 times & I was never informed of my eyes needing to be dilated both my initial appt. & today my 3mo. I actually asked myself for the procedure day to ensure if I needed a driver. Considering that I could barely see as I drove away from my 1st appt. Now here I am for my follow-up appt. & they inform me when they're taking me back to their 2nd waiting area. If I knew what to expect I would've made better arrangements in either scheduling not during the brightest time of the day and/or getting a driver. Now I need to slowly drive myself to work in bright glaring sun! Additionally, I asked when is the best time to see the Dr. w/o the longest wait. So I sched. at 7:45am; so tell me why do I see the Dr. just now coming to see his patients at 8:14am?! He finally arrived for my appt. at 8:30am (45 min later) & it took 2 minutes. Ridiculous!! Our time is just as precious as yours! Then upon checking out there were 4 people at the front desk. The person who checks I wanted to pay my balance w/ my HSA. The girl that was checking me out didn't know what my balance was; guess billing is done at another location. So another personal the front desk calls & finally talks to the billing dept. to get my balance & then asks me "Do you want to put a $150 deposit down?" What?! So I inquire what hat was &
