Nurse Kathleen went above and beyond in her care. many others did as well....Paulette, and others that I didn't get names. very clean and comfortable accommodations. food was okay, and they were flexible to adjust menu to my tastes. I have no complaints. just a suggestion- it would be nice to have more TV channels. i was so nervous to go to a rehab after hospital stay. this place did not disappoint and I would highly recommend to anyone!!

During her stay, she was left screaming in pain in the bathroom for hours while the nurses passed by and ignored her. When one finally came in to get her back in bed, she was told she was lying about waiting that long. And then the nurse punished her by taking her meal away before she could eat it. My mother was there for a serious injury, and is fully lucid and sharp. If they treat patients like this who are not senile and able to understand what's going on, I cannot even imagine how they treat those who are too defenseless to take care of themselves. They didn't even want to do any diagnostic scans of her her injuries before starting PT, which is wildly irresponsible and dangerous. The only reason they gave her an ultrasound was because I fought for it. Her "rehab" consisted of 5-10 minutes of arm exercises a few times a week, when her issue was that she couldn't walk. I could write all day about how horrific this place is, but this sums it up: One day when they were trying to get her back into bed, they twisted her the wrong way and she ended up in debilitating agony that was so severe, she needed to be transported to the hospital. Days later, no one even knew she was gone! The front desk staff continued to send visitors to her room after she was discharged. They pay so little attention to their patients that they don't even know whether they are still in their care or not. It's absolutely vile that places like this are milking the insurance companies only to provide distain, neglect, and indifference when it comes to their patients. This place desperately needs a visit from the Department of Elder Care, and the Board of Health.

The center released my mother who was recovering from hip surgery to her home where she has absolutely no care. They said they would assist in getting her on Medicaid and she would be in a " pending" status until she was approved which meant she would be allowed to stay until the application was complete and approval accepted. This would have allowed us to get someone into her apartment to care for her. Now she is literally left alone while I myself, her daughter, recovers from surgery and my brother tends to her, his family and his job. It's nearly impossible and we are afraid for the safety of our mother. If the administration would have listened to us and guided us sooner and better and not just say they handed my brother a packet ( but didn't) and hadn't been so condescending, I believe our mother would have been in a much better position by now. We are afraid.

I was happy with the majority of the staff. There was one nurse in charge of meds that shouldn't have been. She couldn't answer any questions and had no personality. I don't like to single out 1 staff member but she continued to give my mom Miralax when she had diarrhea. Due to this bringing her home turned into a fiasco of her sobbing while "it" was pouring out of her. It's not a prescription, you can't check or make that decision on your own! How is someone like that in charge of dispensing medications?
