Such a gem in Snohomish! We came here while walking around town since it was one of the very few boutiques still open beyond 5pm on a Saturday! Retreat Interiors' window display sucked us in, and I'm so glad it did. As soon as you step inside, you are mesmerized by the decor and use of space of the shop. Located in a historic building with a staircase to the left of the store, the high ceiling makes the store even feel more open and bright. Plus, the space smells so nice with plants and small soaps and body lotions sold inside. What I was most intrigued by the store was the selection of succulents sold here! Lots of air plants and cases for air plants are sold here, ranging in different sizes and styles. They also have a space towards the back of the store where you can build your own terrarium! I wish I had a bigger green thumb, just so I could appreciate all that Retreat Interior has to offer. In fact, the store here makes you wanna have a green thumb! I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Snohomish. read more

Truly a one of the kind store. The store is magic. Tiny to large succulents, ferns, cacti, green plants. The array of vases, terrariums, pots and hanging planters is phenomenal. Such a unique, beautiful and tranquil shop. Will be coming here for years to enjoy and find inspiration. read more

Every plant I have received here have died. For how pricey the plants are here.....I am saddened their quality is not that great.

Love this place but very poor customer service when I visited yesterday morning to purchase the Moss Balls I had been eyeing for a while. I was not even acknowledged when I came into the store. I walked around for about 10 minutes and the salesperson in the back repotting a plant did not even give me the time of day. Another customer appeared with a plant she wanted repotted and the salesperson immediately acknowledged her, even remarked how cute the pot she picked out was. Did I wrap myself in cellophane before I left the house and was transparent???? So I walked out, probably won't return......I really hope old Snohomish is not becoming uppity, that would be heartbreaking read more

What a beautiful store! I had wandered through a couple of times during visits to Snohomish. I really wanted to come in to build a terrarium or to buy a plant and pot. The owner knows a lot about the plants she stocks and seems to have a true love for plants and enjoys making the right match between plant and buyer, which I appreciated. A caveat, and I really hope the owner irons this out: she can't pot anything on site while you are there. There are several house plant shops in Seattle I love to visit, and they have potting soil in big bins they can scoop right into the pot of your choosing so you take home a finished product. My friend fell in love with a plant and a pot, but needed the pot to have a hole, which the owner said could be drilled by her husband...which could be picked up in a week or so. She also couldn't pot the plant in store. So please please iron that out! I hope this lovely little store makes it! read more

It's a nice store, but wow...I've never seen plants marked so expensive in my life! I stopped in to see if they had any Birkin philodendrons because I just recently passed up the 6" size that was available at flower world for $14.99 and now couldn't fathom spending $34.99 for the 8" size they now currently had. I asked the gal if she had any and she lead me to where they were in the store. They were in small 4" pots at the back of the store and I got excited because I assumed they would be cheaper than the $14.99 6" size at flower world, I saw 3 weeks earlier. Boy, was I wrong.....they were marked at $44.99!!! I couldn't believe it. That was 3x more than flower world and for a smaller size! I mentioned this to the gal and she told me that that particular plant is expensive...like she was actually telling me something I didn't know. I then corrected her and told her of flower world's prices and she quickly left me on my own. I then looked at other prices of other plants that I also see at flower world and the same thing...all plants were marked as 3 times expensive for the exact same species of plants. I was floored and quickly left. It's too bad,.....because a lot of first time plant buyers will get taken here without any knowledge as to how much they are overpaying. On another note, I am now going to get the 8" size for $34.99 at flower world. I see it's worth it now..lol read more

Gorgeous place. Lovely vibe, decor, owner. I want to move in and live there full-time to be surrounded by the atmosphere!! But the actual plants? Mehhhh...They are SO SO overpriced and the 'cheap' ones I've purchased (over $150+ each are unhealthier in the long run than my plant purchases from Lowes (same plants, way cheaper and better quality). Even the potting soil I bought was super pricey for a very small bag (same size as a bag of coffee); AND it was infested with gnats. It's a shame this place offers sub-par products for so much $$. read more

This is really a wonderful little boutique in Snohomish. The owner Jenni has done an amazing job of laying out the store in such a way that it offers an uplifting and inspiring atmosphere. Our family thoroughly enjoyed shopping here during the holiday season and look forward to many future visits! read more

This is one of my most favorite stores anywhere. I love plants and this boutique makes me happy just being there. There's a great selection of succulents, cacti and tropical houseplants of different sizes. The prices are good and the plants are healthy. I'm a little obsessed with the pots, especially the modern grey cement ones. From the moment you step into this lovely charming shop you will be inspired to take home some of that charm to recreate it in your own space with a plant and a beautiful pot. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and eager to answer questions, give their opinion and help you choose the plant/pot combination that will bring you some of the happiness I experience with each visit. This is a destination spot for me. I often go to Snohomish just to visit Retreat. Be sure to visit when you are in town, you won't be disappointed. read more
