Eleanor indulged in pizza, snacks, and crumbl cookies with her friends that attended the party, then it was time to open presents. She had very many exciting expressions while opening presents then sang happy birthday and off they went to go play. Eleanor enjoyed the pirate ship swinging back-and-forth with Nevaeh. Miss Avery enjoyed her time in the toddlers ball pit, but Nathaniel not so much he did not like it and started crying. And Scarlett left with a gorgeous cotton candy butterfly. Tom Watson designed the course and he has made public statements that The National is the course he is most proud to have designed. There are only a handful of truly thriving golf clubs left in the KC Metro area and the National is top of the heap... If someone needs to ask how much it costs to become a member, this is probably not the right place for them... The clubhouse and surrounding areas are beautiful and every detail is well-designed and maintained... The course is a real challenge, it is long with plenty of trouble and blind-shots due to the rolling hills. The signature hole is #9 with a tee box perched on a cliff over 100 feet above the fairway... The right side of the fairway is guarded by a lake so be sure to hit it straight!

It wasn't smooth, and if your kid falls they get soaked (then really cold). The kid behind the counter didn't know how to look up my online registration. There was nobody on staff actually out at the rink, so kids/adults/actual good skaters were going in all directions. There was no order. Throw in some 200+ yard par 3's, a 591 yard par 5, tons of tree lined par fours, several ponds, a stiff wind and my 91 and playing buddies 86, we're in the books. This was our first time playing here, and we'd probably play the shorter tees next time, as we usually play in the 6,400 yard range. If your looking for greens that putt true, and a new challenge...give the windshield some new views and head over to Richmond...you'll be glad you did.
