Big store with tons of selections…read more I was nervous from pictures that this would be all comic books. I was a little relieved when we pulled up and there was a sign that included toys. We were here on a very specific mission, one son was looking for ghostbusters toys and the other was looking for pokemon cards. One of the employees told us that they get the most calls from people looking for pokemon cards. So I don't bury the lead, they don't have just packs of pokemon cards, but they do have a set that includes multiple packs for $60. We ended up getting that for my older son and I've been giving him a pack every couple of days. I was little nervous about our mission to find ghostbuster stuff. There were tons of star wars stuff and a lot of funko figurines. We did find ghostbuster funko figures, but that wasn't really what we were looking for. Eventually after walking around a bit, we did find three small ghostbuster items. I think they're meant to be kept on a desk, but my son has been playing with them like they're toys. I haven't seen ghostbusters so I'm not going to describe this well, but they are items to track and then trap ghosts. He was ecstatic that we found them, so mission accomplished. If you're looking for comic books then this is heaven. If you're looking for specific toys, it may be hit or miss, but for us it was a hit. This is definitely a place worth checking out.

I brought in over 500 Marvel Silver Age comic books to sell. When I left the store I will admit felt glad but a little apprehensive. Three days later I get a call that all my books were sold and I could come in and get my money. I was really surprised. Not only did I do better then I thought but I also found someone I could talk comics with. I have about another 1000 DC comics to sell and will head to The Comic Underground when I can pull them out of storage and go through them. It tough giving up your babies, but I glad The Comic Underground is around.

When we walked in he stared at us, and said I sold them all. Okay.. he was very rude to the point I wanted to leave. I wrote a review on Google and he responded with I had a 103 fever, and a severe case of flu, omg with covid, I can't afford to be sick and lose work. Stay home close shop, nope he didn't care to not give it to customers, nor does he care to not be extremely rude either. Stay clear unless you like rude owner.

Books are priced relatively around market prices. They also have a hugggeee selection of sports cards and Pokemon. Most of the Pokemon is all priced well above MSRP but thats the market at the moment. Didn't really see any figures or Funko if there was it was so small it was unseen.

The owner was incredibly friendly and genuinely knowledgably about the book world. She took time to educate me and other fellow guests about the history of the store, which you can learn more from the newspaper clippings in the back of the store. She also talked to me about the Little Free Libraries, how they work, how to find all the registered ones online, and even encouraged me by saying I could host one myself. My first time visiting and I was impressed with a comic store so close to Oldsmar. Also a good selection of comic supplies such as boxes, Mylar bags, backing boards, and more. Since my main concern was comics, I checked over their huge collections, very well organized. Also a fair stock of many Silver Age books. Since I am in the process of downsizing my 60+ year collection of mostly Golden Age and Silver Age, about the only things I am looking for is (1) an affordable Batman #1 (LOL) and a handful of EC comics from the 50s. But I came for a specific reason - to get a long box of comics to share with grandkids and mostly donate to the local USO. There is a whole wall of long box comics on sale for $1 individual, plus a long box of your choice for $75. One row across the top and another on the floor beneath. I spent about 90 minutes grazing through for appropriate books for service members and families, nothing PG or higher. The manager was very knowledgeable about comics and very helpful. I did bring my own long box to fill.

So you need to watch for it. Wow! When the owners call it a Toy Emporium, that's a real understatement! There are so many items placed in side rooms and all over the place, I have not seen this volume except in large dealers at the Tampa Comic & Toy Con! And these are not "toys" so much as Collectibles. Their stock includes classic car models, Hot Wheels, miniature figurines, super heroes, trucks, games and lots more. All the rooms and displays have themes. Imagine a whole room filled with nothing but Hot Wheels collectibles, old and new. It feels a little claustrophobic with so many displays in small rooms. They do have comics but not in the normal sense. There are more than 20 long boxes of comics, each can hold up to 150 comics. These are all for $1.00 each, or you can buy an entire box for $60, and you pick the comics. I admit I did eventually walk out with a long box of comics. These are basically to donate to several charities such as Comics For Kids, for kids in hospitals and treatment centers. Also Comics For Military for traveling military members in USO locations. A great place to check out if you have any interest in Collectibles.

Owner was also there and was pushy and over aggressively pushing Pops we had no interest in and was talking over me and being creepy in regards to my gf who had a pop with her to sell. Talking politics with other customers and being very unprofessionall. Dusty, overpriced pops and he was pretty rude about buying pops from us telling us it was worthless. He's got a lot but I'd avoid this place if you want value for your pops.
