I stopped in with my daughter for small Plates, we weren't after a big meal. We were sat outside and it was great. Anna was our server and she was wonderful. We had the crispy rice, the Naan Bread, Saganaki and short ribs. Everything was delicious. Service was spot on and my Arnold Palmer was refreshing. Really great and very memorable. My brother and I didn't have a reservation but decided to stop here for lunch before a 6pm movie at the mall. It was wide open seating, not busy at all, but after a while a few folks started to trickle in to the bar area who looked like regulars. Very smart design, modern ambience, extremely friendly staff and reasonable prices for what you get. We both ordered the lunch Wagyu smash burger that came with fries. Good portions and filling. I didn't get a picture of the burgers (sorry!) but it was delicious. We also shared a dessert - churros that come with warm chocolate sauce. We were about to leave when our server offered to show us the two speakeasy sections inside the restaurant. Didn't know what to expect but when we saw it - WOW. Inside the restaurant, there are TWO speakeasy sections, one for sushi and one for Chinese cuisine. My server Anna was absolutely fantastic last night. Very warm welcome and phenomenal service throughout the entire evening. Started the evening with the Passion Drink which was a bit bitter and decided on the Papaya Spicy Margarita, which was delicious with the right balance of sweet and spicy The menu had an array of different options for an Asian/ Mediterranean/ Latin fusion which I loved!! I ordered a beet/goat cheese salad and the cauliflower with a corn purée sauce which a delicious spicy flare. My date had the ceviche and enjoyed it very much. Anna was gracious to give us a private tour of the hidden Omakasa Bar onsite hidden in site! On the other side of the restaurant is another hidden room in plain sight; a Chinese restaurant with a small lounge. Truly an awesome concept. Very impressive! From the first bite to the last sip, our goal is to captivate your taste buds and leave a lasting impression. We won't let you down." That's pretty much true, and it is a "global cuisine" as well. The GREEK SALAD - Feta, Kalamata, Cucumber, Onions, Peppers was both familiar and different as was the Flaming Greek Saganaki Cheese. For my main I tried, and loved, the Asian Short Ribs Noodles. Wow! Service is amazing as is the layout of the place itself. The social "influencers" that were in the place were both annoying and a vote of confidence that there was something special here. We came here after seeing all the positive Yelp reviews, but honestly, it was underwhelming. The menu is all over the place--Japanese, Latin, Italian, and more, which is why I hesitated to come here previously. Hard to tell what the specialty really is. I checked Yelp for recommendations before ordering, but most reviews just said "great food" without specifics. That is strange. Pasta seemed to be the most mentioned, so we went with that. We ordered the truffle & shiitake croquettes (suggested by our server), the artichoke lasagna, and the pear fiocchi. The croquettes came out quickly. They were okay, not much flavor. Strangely, the lasagna arrived before the fiocchi, which made eating awkward. The lasagna was actually the best thing we tried--rich, cheesy. The pear fiocchi looked great when it arrived, but the taste didn't match the presentation. My husband liked it better than I did, so we swapped, but even then I ended up sharing the lasagna with him. Frankly if I don't love the dish, why the extra calories. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't impressive either. For us, it didn't live up to the hype, and we ended the night with Cold Stone instead of dessert here. read more

We had such a great experience at Reunion Ktchn. The menu truly has something for everybody, and everything we ordered was really well-executed. The blue crab sushi roll was light and easy to split -- a perfect starter. The Swiss fondue was super fun for a group and a great shareable. The filet beef stroganoff was out of this world -- honestly the star of the show. It was served almost like a rich mushroom beef soup in a bread bowl, with no noodles, which was unexpected but absolutely worked and tasted amazing. The artichoke lasagna was really good, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the escargot was exactly how you'd imagine it should be -- classic and delicious. The risotto was good too, just different than expected -- not your usual creamy mushroom risotto, more of a paella-style but still enjoyable. Drinks were on point. The Pasión do Brazil was tasty but definitely boozy. The coconut pistachio Mai Tai was the crowd favorite -- so good. On top of the food and drinks, Malena really made the night special. She surprised us with a birthday song and handled it perfectly -- it felt genuine and was very much appreciated. Great food, fun atmosphere, and thoughtful service. It was around 3:30pm, time between lunch and dinner so it wasn't too busy. We sat at the bar, loved the vibe, and ordered. The lady helping us gave me the option to add Bailey's to the martini but I ordered as it is usually prepared, and have not regrets. It was delicious, and they add real espresso in it. While we sipped on our drinks, she also made some recommendations for light bites, and she nailed it. We had already decided on the croquettes, which were amazing, but the sliders she recommended were WOW! Perfectly cooked, and so flavorful. She even went to the kitchen to get pickles for my BF. Not only did she made recommendations she was also very friendly and attentive, so was the rest of the staff we interacted with. I want to go back and try more of their menu. read more

Finally, would you like the exclusive feel of a special, private Omakase dinner? Gotcha. I am impressed at the RKB menu and tried the Truffle Croquettes 7/10, Eggplant Parmasean 10/10, Salmon atop Crispy Rice 8/10 and Branzino and Almond Couscous 10/10. All very solid choices. I enjoyed a Black Truffle Old Fashion 10/10 and a very nice Tempranillo 9/10 before ending the night with a Latte 9/10 and a one-of-a-kind Bread Pudding 10/10. It's a must. Cute restaurant inside a strip mall in Aventura. Really nice vibes and great service. We're from Miami Lakes and this reminded me a lot of Korner 67 - very similar menu, style, and pricing. Mostly sharable tapas served family style. The food wasn't bad by any means but the portion sizes and quality just didn't align with the pricing IMO. For the amount we spent, we could have gone to a nice steakhouse and probably ate a lot more food. Nonetheless, the food was good and it was an okay experience. We started with cocktails and appetizers the mushroom and truffle were delicious. For Mains we went all over the menu. There's a bar and a hostess podium at the entrance, the tables for two are more for drinks and dessert than for dinner, but it was Thursday and they weren't that busy, so they gave us a table for four. It's sort of dark and they piped in soft jazzy disco music. We loved the food, which all had a gourmet quality: the Greek salad was finely chopped and enough to split between the two of us (heavy on the cherry tomato side); the veggie fire roasted al dente half cauliflower with mildly spicy corn sauce; the large chunks of pan seared salmon had the same sauce; and the bread bowl filled with chunks of steak in a creamy porcini (?) mushroom sauce. Thus there were several unique preparations, all top notch. We skipped desserts (we were too full), but the decaf cappuccino came with a thick frothy milk head. Oysters- not the best but the crispy rice bites were absolutely delicious. Fell in love with the aesthetic the moment we walked in! But that's because I'm an artist and I love what they've done with the wooden mannequins installed on the wall -- such an awesome art installation and focal point of the main dining room! Me, my husband, and our friend came for dinner. I've had this place bookmarked for the longest time and when I found out they're offering Miami Spice, I figured let's finally give it a try. Y'all... Do NOT sleep on that deal! One of the best Spices we've done this year! So good, we'd come again! 2 out of 3 of us did Miami Spice which was great because our friend did not have to feel obligated to choose off the smaller menu, but hubby and I definitely got our money's worth getting the heftier dishes. For appetizers, we shared Creamy Mussels and Truffle Shiitake Croquettes off the Miami Spice menu and the Rock Shrimp from the main menu. My hubby ordered the Filet Mignon Stroganoff, which was very creamy and meaty! Do not let that bread bowl deceive you... it's the right amount of bread to filling ratio haha. For someone who sometimes eats like he has a second stomach, even he didn't finish his dish (considering we were all sharing everything anyways) and he took the rest home for his work lunch the following day (which he said was also still very good, he just added rice to his leftover). On the other hand, I had the Honey Miso Chilean Sea Bass which was DIVINE. I was dancing of happiness in my seat! Not only was it perfectly done, I was not expecting the hefty portion. Do NOT skip this during Miami Spice season! Our friend ordered the Mushroom and Short Rib Flatbread, which may seem like a sharable but honestly it's big enough for one! Off the Spice menu, we got the Brioche Bread Pudding with Pistachio Cream and Kiwi along with the Basque Cheesecake. I will say, the Basque was not burnt enough but still tasted good. Brioche Bread Pudding was not what I expected in a bread pudding honestly but I still enjoyed it! It tasted more like ac crumble to me than a bread pudding. Off the regular menu, our friend ordered the Churros with Belgian Chocolate dip. We thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was! The right amount of crisp and the chocolate not overtly sweet, a great way to end our dinner! Our experience did NOT end there. One of their managers came to our table to invite us to their lounge for a complimentary cocktail and also encouraged us to tour their speakeasy omakase. So after a filling dinner, we had a brief tour of their sushi spot which was very quaint and intimate and then went over for a free drink, where we socialized some more.
