I happened to be very limited in my ability to go far from my hotel last night so I ran across the street to Ruth's Chris to get something that wouldn't be salty and junk. The hostesses (2) were sooooo nice. They didn't make me feel weird for ordering takeout from a nice restaurant. The food was so delicious. The steak, lobster Mac cheese, the spinach, they gave me bread & butter (they should of course but sometimes they forget or don't care). I was very very satisfied with my dinner. I had the leftovers tonight. I thought the crème brûlée was a little thick. Absolutely unacceptable! We had the audacity to choose Ruth's Chris Steak House in Aventura for a private birthday dinner, only to have our evening ruined. The service was passable, the food was mediocre, but the horror began when we witnessed a repulsive roach scurrying along the wall in our exclusive dining area. To make matters worse, another vile roach made its way onto my daughter's arm while she was trying to enjoy her meal. My daughter has a roach allergy, and the potential consequences are no joke. Despite the restaurant deducting a significant amount from our bill, we were still expected to pay. Outrageous! I firmly believe the entire meal should have been complimentary. A mere discount is a feeble attempt to make amends when roaches are invading both the walls and your guests. We came to commemorate a special occasion and anticipated a pleasant dining experience, especially at a renowned establishment with such exorbitant prices. Instead, our celebration was ruined. Honestly, this was a very disappointing experience. While we were eating, we saw not one, but TWO roaches, and one of them actually crawled onto my arm while I was sitting at the table. It completely ruined the experience and made it extremely difficult to feel comfortable continuing to eat. We immediately stopped eating. We had even ordered extra food to take home, but after seeing the roaches, we were so grossed out that we left all of the food behind. We simply couldn't bring ourselves to continue eating or take the food home after what happened. Even though our tab was reduced, we still had to pay a portion, which honestly felt unfair considering we were dealing with a roach problem while trying to eat. At that point, we felt like we shouldn't have had to pay at all for an experience like that. I do want to give credit to the male manager who came over and tried everything he could to reduce our charge. We really appreciated that he took the situation seriously and did what he could for us. We understand that he had someone above him that he had to report the situation to, so he couldn't simply tell us we didn't have to pay. That being said, seeing TWO roaches, especially one crawling on my arm, was completely unacceptable. For a restaurant like Ruth's Chris, I expected much better when it comes to cleanliness and sanitation. I really hope management takes this seriously and addresses the issue because this is not something guests should have to experience while dining. read more

We had a great experience. Who knew there was happy hour in a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was just opening so it was empty. Nice and quiet. Our server Jelly was amazing. She matched our silly and catered to all of our needs. I had the steak sandwich and my sister had the burger. The steak was ok, needed a more flavorful sauce. My sister said the burger was amazing. I stopped in at the bar with my best friend who was in town from NY For the weekend and was able to enjoy a full three-course experience. For the entrée, the star of the night was the sizzling New York strip steak tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, served on that signature butter-sizzling hot plate that keeps every bite just right until the last piece. During Happy Hour, I tried both the Strawberry Lemon drop Martini and the Lemon Drop Martini (pictured) beautifully balanced, refreshing, and presented with a sugar rim and lemon garnish. They paired perfectly with the meal and felt like a steal for the quality. To finish, a light dessert with fresh berries added a sweet touch without being too heavy. Dining in the main room is comfortable yet elegant and sitting at the bar during happy hour is bliss. Drinks are spot on and the food options vary. I recently was visiting the Aventura neighborhood in Miami for a conference. Ruth Chris just happened to be located right across from my hotel, which was a wonderful surprise. Which created an excuse to bring a client here for dinner. One thing about Ruth Chis is that you always know what you're going to get with them....you're going to say YUM after every bite! Not do they have quality meat, they offer quality service. I had the pleasure of being helped by Josh. It included 3 courses. We got a Caesar salad and an onion soup. Both were ok, the onion soup had an unusual flavor and the Caesar salad was pretty plain. Not bad but just nothing special. Our main courses were shrimp and a rare filet, and 8oz fillet (additional $18). The shrimp was good and the fillet was delicious. It just melted in my mouth! My husband's steak was good. We both got mashed potatoes as sides. They were very plain and barely warm. We got chocolate cheesecake and regular cheesecakes. Again, ok but nothing special. We just shared a 26 oz bone in rib eye - asked for medium rare & the garlic mashed potatoes. Our steak came out on a sizzling hot plate but unfortunately was way overcooked. Our waiter/bartender was kind of enough to acknowledge this and remade the steak medium rare. Owner came by too and apologized and even brought out fresh mashed potatoes as well. Happy Hour! We were staying at the AC Hotel across the street and looking for drinks and something light to eat. Our hotel didn't have Happy Hour, but Ruth's Chris sure did, so into the bar we went. The Happy Hour is very limited, but hey, they have one. Drinks are discounted, of course. As would be expected for such an establishment the menu choices are a la carte. However, there was a menu choice that allowed for a salad, entree, and dessert. It is what I wanted so thats what I chose. I did opt to add the calamari for an appetizer and it was good as well. My light and refreshing drink choice was the blueberry mojito. Just so that you are aware, there is also a private dining room for large parties. Ample self parking is available, and it is a short walk to the restaurant. The restaurant will validate your ticket so please do remember to ask! Valet service is also available for your added convenience. The Restaurant Manager was sure to introduce himself to our party. It comes with either salad or soup, a 6 oz filet + shrimp (or lobster), a personal side of creamed spinach or garlic mashed potatoes, and a personal chef's selection dessert. For $5, you can upgrade to any other side on the menu, which I did - sweet potato casserole with pecan topping! I also loved my blueberry mojito. I don't understand the low rating because I thought the food and service were both top-notch! I went here to celebrate my birthday with a friend. Everyone was super sweet and wished me a happy birthday. Our table had confetti on it, which I thought was super cute and a clever way to make someone celebrating feel special. We both ordered giant steaks, mine was a ribeye. Meat was delicious and flavored well. There was a slight mixup with the cooked temperature of our steaks, but the manager quickly fixed it, apologized, refreshed our sides, and comped our desserts. Now that is fabulous customer service. The sides were all good from the asparagus to the mashed and baked potato. My chocolate dessert was delicious too. Would definitely recommend Ruth's for special celebrations or any occasion really. I have been to several of their locations worldwide and the quality is consistent. The steakhouse salad had nice fresh cut vegetables and a delicious flavored crouton that made the salad very refreshing. I asked for dressing on the side. The petite filet was made to order and it was perfectly done medium. The meat was tender, moist and sizzling in the 500F hot plate it come on. I dined at the Aventura location on November 15th for dinner. It was my first time visiting this location. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the seating arrangement. I was seated on the far right upon entering the restaurant, and everything seemed fine until I went to use the restroom and noticed another dining area on the left past the hostess stand. What concerned me was that most of the white guests were seated in the main dining area, while most of the Black guests including myself were seated on the right side. I have never encountered anything like this in a restaurant, and I found it completely unacceptable. That said, the food was enjoyable, and my server, Zachary, provided excellent service, which helped improve my experience despite the seating issue. This is an update from last year. The quality of the food, service and ambiance continue as before, but this time the prices were substantially higher and my portions were smaller. I ordered what most would call a "surf and turf" dinner special, which came with a salad for starters, a choice of either creamed spinach or garlic mashed potatoes, and the chef's choice for dessert. The salad was mostly mixed greens with a choice of dressing. No substitutions were allowed for the choice between creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. My lobster tail was the smallest I ever saw, about the size of one jumbo shrimp or prawn. The petit fillet was too petit. The chef's choice dessert was a silver-dollar-sized cheesecake served with a small handful of mostly black and blue berries with sweetened raspberry drizzle. I should have ordered "a la carte" for better choices because the surf and turf dinner special was not a good bargain for me. For example, I could've ordered a larger steak - my son loved the ribeye. I could've order mushrooms or asparagus instead of creamy spinach or creamy potatoes. And finally, I could've gotten a better appetizer. That said, it would've cost more than the inflated price already paid. read more

I've been to Ruth's Chris Steak House many times, but first time at this location. This experience was really bad. Things went wrong right from the start. Waiter didn't pay enough attention even though it was after 9pm and they were not busy. Half of my steak was burned on the sides and really dry, another half was taken back to the kitchen to be made perfect temperature. Fries was dark brown color, i assume they don't change oil in the fryer on time, asparagus was burned. Overall i left with a bad feeling like i visited Applebees or something, not good, i wouldn't recommend this particular location read more

My family and I have chosen to have Christmas dinner at Ruth's Chris for the past 2 years. We went to a different location last year. This location had the availability that we needed. Easy to book online through OpenTable. The food and drinks were amazing. I appreciated that they had ample staff for our party of 8. The staff were friendly and attentive to us throughout our dining experience. Valet parking and a parking garage nearby. They do validate your parking! I highly recommend this location.
