He did some research online and found the task a bit daunting. The special needs teacher at school recommended a certain brand of pedal less bike so we went looking. We spoke with Chris at the shop. I can't speak more highly of this guy, he could be a special needs teacher who works in a bike shop. The store actually sells some of these bikes but Chris gave us the option of taking off the pedals and drivetrain of one of the regular store bikes so if she did learn to ride, an entirely new bike with pedals wouldn't have to be bought at a later date. My buddy's wife wasn't confident the child was motivated enough to learn so Chris came up with another idea. He measured the right size of bike for the job and said "if you have an old bike of Xyz size, we can check it for safety, tune it and also remove the running gear". That's exactly what we did. What awesome people.
