Celebrated a birthday here with a group of 10 friends. We had a reservation. It is a steakhouse, so that is really where they shine. It has a cozy atmosphere with an open kitchen. There were out of a few things, but there were a few things that really were delicious. The small bread bites were the star of the show. Followed up closely by the mushroom risotto. I would go back solely for those things. I went with a sharing friend and we felt like we ordered wrong. We got a hamburger thinking bc it was a steak house they would have a good meat selection. It was a frozen patty zero flavor. And while the fries look excellent they were cold and soggy. We waited for a while for the food. We were the only ones there. (Yes it is connected to a bar/ tavern, but there weren't a lot of orders coming in.) The broccoli was as cold and tough as the fries. I only had a few bites of the salmon it was under seasoned as well. The bread and risotto saved the stars here. I would rated it a solid 3.5. Been wanting to visit Revaira Italian Steakhouse for quite some time...what a gem of a place. They have the restaurant and a connected bar next door with big screens if you need. It was 3pm when I arrived and I met Nikki who told me to take my pick of seats as the place was empty. Nikki went over the menu but I knew I wanted a steak and decided on the special...a 20 ounce Cowboy Ribeye with two sides. The Revaira Dinner Salad was very fresh and all of the vegetables were crisp but the raspberry vinaigrette dressing is delicious. I could see the flames from the grill as the chef prepared my steak so I was very excited to see how this one came out. The steak was @1" thick, perfectly medium rare, nice grill marks, beautiful char, and minimally seasoned with salt and pepper. The meat was very tender and the flavor really made this a solid steak needing nothing additional. I really enjoyed the mushroom risotto as the rice was Al dente, carried a light earthy flavor from the mushrooms that were not mushy...this a great side for a steak. Great food and the service I received from Nikki...exceptional! I was very impressed...this may be a small town however this place delivers solid steakhouse flavors! When we arrived, there was absolutely nobody in the restaurant, so needless to say we were seated quickly, and the waitress took our drink order extremely fast. We got our drinks and ordered our meals to our surprise. Our meals did not include a salad or any bread. I've never been to a restaurant that did not allow you a salad and or bread. Our meals came over my wife had the chicken piccata and she substituted the pasta with mashed potatoes. Potatoes were brown not white and they tasted OK. She said her chicken tasted a little too lemony, but it was cooked well. I had the 12 ounce ribeye with the mushroom risotto and asparagus. I must say that my 12 ounce ribeye was probably the thinnest 12 ounce ribeye I've ever seen in my life and if it was 12 ounces before cooking, I'm the king of England. the mushroom risotto was so thick that I could pick it up with my fork and turn my fork over and it did not fall off my fork, the asparagus was cooked, but there were only three stocks. My wife and I had been there for lunch before which we thoroughly enjoyed so we figured we try it for dinner and we were thoroughly disappointed. When we were done with our meal actually had to call somebody to come over and give me a box for remainder of my meal and our check because other than there was no other patrons in the restaurant there was nobody else in the restaurant, no COOK'S no waitresses nothing. When the waitress came over, she apologized and informed us that not only was she waiting on the patrons in the restaurant she was also waiting on all the patrons in the sports bar and tending bar in both areas which was absolutely ridiculous. She was very good. She did the best she could. She was trying so hard to take care of us, but the lack of additional help was hindering her. The restaurant itself was clean well lit. I would probably go back there for lunch again because lunch was good but their dinner menu it's limited, no salad, no bread for the $110 I paid for my meal. It was not worth it. Stopped by this place as we were coming out of Jack Daniels Destillery. At first we wondered if they were open because you can't see inside. All the windows are tinted black. Regardless, we came in and were greeted inmediately. As an appetizer we ordered the grilled octopus. It was tasty, just a bit rubbery, maybe because the suckers were kept, and that part is always chewy. We ordered the Chicken Piccatta, the mushroom italian risotto and the mussels pasta. Everything was delish. The risotto was so well balanced and tasty, the mussels pasta was incredible favorful. The past cooked al dente. My favorite was the piccatta with the lemony flavor. It was a big plate, light on the palate and the stomach. I was able to eat it all and not filled full. Wonder if they import their flours or pastas from Europe. Only other place I can eat lots of pasta like that. This place is a little gem in Shelbyville. Please visit, you won't regret it. read more

Excellent. The wonderful complementary bread was swimming in garlic and butter. We shared the cowboy rib eye and the marcella chicken. The rib eye was very tender and beautifully seasoned. The marcella really stole the show . I have had this many times at some excellent Italian restaurants, but tonight was the best. Chef Michael H's recipe was outstanding! Perfectly balanced and blended flavors. If you are visiting the area or live in Shelbyville--eat here. Nikki, our server, gave us excellent service. read more

This place has a great chef! The flavor of the food was really good. The waitress did a good job serving us. The only negative is I feel like the prices should be $5-$10 less. The restaurant was literally no one in there. I think more people would come with better prices. The ribeye tastes good but too thin. The mushroom risotto was delish! I think this could be a really great place bc there are not many nicer restaurants in Shelbyville. Hope they can survive. read more

This is from a visit back in July. I absolutely love their risotto, but (there is always a but...) The tomahawk steak, which I wanted rare came out medium (not medium rare, medium as in almost well done) and I'm one of those if you cannot cook my steak the right way particularly if it's over $70, then you're not the place for me. Husband ordered chicken parm and when it came out definitely was chicken Alfredo (which he hates) and zero explanation from the server. So when she finally came to check on us after realizing neither are eating, I asked her if their version of chicken parm is different and she stated 'oh no, we ran out of the parm) (this is at 1pm) they literally opened a few hours ago and it's never busy in there! So... I asked why didn't she come back and let us know instead of completely changing. She didn't have an answer. We were STILL charged the full amount!!! A little pricey. Food was good and wait staff attentive. Menu could be expanded a bit more to maybe include a reasonably priced side salad.

Best restaurant in the area without a doubt! High quality meat, delicious sides, and seasoned well. We ordered the Rib Eye and the Filet and could not be more satisfied. Definitely a culinary treat! read more

The food is outstanding. By far my favorite restaurant. Everything is made fresh including sauces and dressings. It is not the cheapest place in town but the food is worth every penny. The chef is amazing and the staff are very friendly. A great place to relax and dine. read more

Went to the sports bar side with my son. My wife and I had been to the Restaurant side a couple of times and just had not been overly impressed considering the price but also wasn't too bad. The food was fairly good but the service was very slow both times. This time I thought I'd give the bar side a try. It took 30 minutes to get the first beer. We ordered food when hey brought the beer, 2 burgers and fries. I also ordered a burger and fries to go for my wife who wasn't with us. Our eat in food took another 30 minutes but wasn't bad. Then, we waited for the to go, which again we ordered at 6:30 with the other food. We waited and waited. Finally at 7:30 I told the server to bring the food or refund the money I had already paid for it. Another 15 minutes went by and she came back and wait it still wasn't ready but "he", I assume the owner, was going to come out and talk to me. Long story short her never came. He came out about 8PM and gave her the burger in a to go box which she brought out very embarrassed. He didn't even care enough about his business to apologize. By the way the restaurant side was nearly empty as well. I can't imagine why! We clearly will not go back since they don't seem to care if you do or not! read more
