I have been to Reve so many times lately since one of our good friends lives right across the street. We have been 4 times now and I feel like a real dumbass that it took me till my fourth time here to realize they actually are brewing their own beer...Oops. I will say my go to for their beers are for sure the Barrel Aged options since they are aged in bourbon and rye barrels from Willett Distillery (which I have been to and is one of my favorites). You really get the hint of bourbons and ryes as well as the complexity of them as well. My other go-to is the frozen options. I know it's the opposite of the Barrel Aged stuff but we come a lot with the dogs and sit outside and since it's summer it's hot as hell so they are very refreshing. My other favorite part about Reve that they also have Bones Pizza that makes Wood Fired Pizza. What's better then pizza and beer? Plus it's actually really good pizza too. Last time we were here we ordered 4 pizzas: The Prosciutto Fig (which we have gotten 3 times), The Friend of the Devil, The Pesto, and The Belmar Specialty BBQ. (I will have a breakdown of what is on each pizza below). I will say my favorite was for sure the Friend of the Devil I just love a good sweet and spicy. We will for sure continue to come back. Beers are always cold and delicious -- staff is welcoming and on it. For the VEGANS / VEGETARIANS... re: the food, there is a single vegan/vegetable option available food wise... Order the house bread with no cheese and sub marinara (tomato sauce) on the side. It's a hefty portion and really hits the spot with a cold beer after a long day but it's not enough for a meal (lunch/dinner wise). I'm grateful I can eat something here but I reallllyyyy wish they had vegan cheese or vegan salads available ~ also ~ some sour beers + others contain lactose. Ask your server for more info. We lived in mayport when Reve opened up and it was like a fabulous beer Mecca in a beer wasteland. Mayport still would be if it weren't for Reve... aannndd now they have brick oven pizza. Love love Reve. Personally- I think this is a top 3 brewery in Jax. Have been drinking beers here long before they opened Bones Pizza. Always unique and delicious beers - rotating but we always get all the sour beers. The pizza is a huge plus here. We always get a pepperoni and a prosciutto fig. Even our 8 year old demolishes the prosciutto fig pizza! It's just excellent. Tonight we got the crème brûlée- we smashed it before I could snag a picture. Always love coming to Reve. Reve has been on my brewery bucket list for such a long time so I was happy to finally make it up there. The brewery is decorated beautifully with a small food menu and a great beer line up. They also make some fun slushie drinks, one had like trix cereal or something in it? I was intrigued but I didn't have time to try it. I got a couple half pours, an IPA and a sour and I liked both of them. I did not eat but I want to try their pizza next time I go. I am a local and this place is amazing. I have lived all over the country and this is one of the only places in Jax that displays thought and quality into each item they serve. The beer is quality. You can tell, they not only brew great beer to perfection, but serve it to perfection. They ensure clean and cold lines for their drafts and you can taste it. The food is also of a superior quality. The pizza is cooked to perfection. Easily the best at the beach. You are kidding yourself if you compare this food to anything else at the beach. I usually knock restaurants that charge for a dipping sauce but it's made as fresh as you can get it and I see why they charge for it, because it's a premium. Great place to eat and drink. Reve is a hidden but not so hidden gem. We tried several different beers and all were really good! When looking at the beer menu there were four main sections; Stouts, Hazy IPAs, Sours and others. Sours are my favorites so I was a very happy camper! My husband is a big Hefeweizen fan so he was able to find something he liked but he wasn't quite as happy as I was. The bartenders (Shawn and Jason, I think) were so so nice and friendly. There were a couple of live plants, which I always LOVE, and some beautiful furniture that we chatted with Shawn about for a bit. We learned all about the history of the furniture and how the plants a very low maintenance. I am always partial to anyone that will talk plants with me so I thought my review might be bias but everyone else also agreed it was a great experience! read more

Fire!!! All beers at Reve are so delicious! To visit a brewery and to have all beers hit the jackpot is almost impossible. I have been to not many places like this, and I do have a good record of visiting breweries. I can say that for Reve, all the beers are memorable. I liked the 3 styles the focus on: IPA's, sours, souts/porters. Honestly some really good stuff. The space is quite interesting as well. Inside, this place takes you to a bunch of places simultaneously. You get a vibe of an old speakeasy, then some run down old Florida building, then a strange feel for some Russian Imperial architecture, and finally the beach. Stepping outside could be a shock... it's like waking up from a "dream". And, I can't wait to go back. There is a following already, some locals are definitively on the know, so go before it blows up. Extra points for serving small pours. read more

Neat little brewery located off Mayport Road. Checked them out after seeing an event for a tiki party on Facebook. This place is small compared to the other breweries in town. They have a bar for seating, one long table, and 3 high tops inside as well as a few tables outside on the front stoop. Known for their sour beers and beer slushees. 2 out of the 3 slushees were delish, tasting just like candy. The final, brown slushy was just not good. Although I assume they rotate them out. They went all out with their party decorations so it's hard to say how this place is normally decorated. They have menus for local places to eat as your welcome to bring food in. Tip: bring your own games to play as I didn't see any in the place. read more

A microbrewery in a strip mall next to Domino's. Welcome to 2019. After one visit, I'm a big fan of Reve Brewing! Don't let the Mayport Rd. taproom fool you, the space is charming and filled with character. Aka, bunnies and rabbits everywhere. Now it's your turn to hop into some tasty brews. Sorry. The dad jokes are raging inside of me. Why I'm an instant fan of Reve. Hazy IPA's, Imperial Stouts, and Sours take up the entire menu. My three favorite styles of beer. Keep in mind, these are not for everyone. I wouldn't recommend visiting this place if those beer styles don't float your boat. However, they do make beer slushees FTW!!! Feed Your Head - classic hazy IPA utilizing some of my favorite hops. I Know You When - fruity, tart and sweet collab w/ 7venth Sun Brewing. Cavity Creep - a burly 12% imperial stout with marshmallows and almonds that will knock you over. These guys know their stuff. They've been key players at the Beaches for a long time. It's nice to see them expand into a tiny, craft as all hell taproom. I was a little bummed that two of the beers I wanted to try kicked while I was there. But that'll happen when you run on small pilot batch systems. Grab your bunny ears and consume Reve beers. read more

Reve Brewing is one of my favorite breweries to check out any time I'm in the Jacksonville area. While everything I've had from them has been on point, I specifically love them for their stouts and their sours. (I'm a huge sour fan and I LOVE the variety of sours they put out) Tucked away in a small strip of shops, Reve is easy to miss if you don't know it's there. They have two outdoor tables set up, but a majority of their seating is inside. For me, the building itself is small so indoor seating is a bit too snug to comfortably feel safe being inside for long when it's busy. This brewery is popular so it can get pretty busy. However outside is nice if you're able to snag one of the two tables available and they have an extensive variety of beers - most of which are available to go. Some are already pre canned, bottled, or pre filled in crowlers to make to go easy. You can also order ahead online which is and option that I love from breweries, especially ones as popular as Reve. The staff has always been friendly every time I've stopped by and overall I am a fan of this brewery. Definitely recommend checking out, but for me right now I'll be doing to go only to support them and get my Reve fix. read more

I tried 6 of their beers. Great bar, and a great variety of brews. Service was friendly and efficient. The IPA selection ranged from a couple of Hazy IPAs to a strawberry/lactose. I only tried one dark. It was a collaboration with Southern Swells, with Bold City coffee and cinnamon, and a rather high ABV. I saw some sours in the list as well. They were doing a brisk business on a mid-Friday afternoon. The net is that there is promise here. I always say beer is about taste and we're all different. The wife said this is a solid 4 star place. I'd say 3 stars for what I tasted and an additional star for variety, the collaborations, and the bar. Right now there are better options in the Jax area and if you're up for the drive, down in St. Augustine as well. read more
