My hubs loves wings and bbq. When I saw the menu, I knew we definitely had to try Strings. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and hubs got the pork platter. We also ordered smoked wings with Cajun ranch to try. All were delicious. The pork was yummy and both bbq sauces (sweet and hot) were really good. The hot wasn't spicy and had a good pepper flavor and the sweet had a touch of cinnamon which made for a good dip for the French fries. I also liked the accompanying pickles and onions. The green beans were topped with almonds which were a nice touch. The wings were good and smoky. We just wish they tossed in more cajun ranch sauce. We'll definitely be back to try more. read more

I wanted to love this place. It has "dad" vibes and I mean that in the best possible way. This feels like the place where a dad would bring his kids for dinner that still has pub food, a good beer selection, and a tolerance for running kiddos. All the tables have football team logos to help them find you after you order from the counter which is a neat idea instead of table numbers. The burgers were okay, but $12 for an a la carte burger felt steep for what we got. It was $5 for a side of fries and $6-7ish for some charred Brussels sprouts that were tasty but I would have rather been charged $15 for the burger with the side included if that makes sense. Selling them separately made both items feel overpriced for a mid burger and fries. The beer options were excellent and all house brews so I love that! I would definitely come back and just do beer and fries on the side or something but I think the menu pricing could use some restructuring for a family place. Also, let me preface my last thought by saying that this is a dumb thing to have an opinion on - I would normally not call this out at all, but since Strings is self-proclaimed family-friendly spot, I genuinely hope someone reads this and considers it for the sake of parents - please cut the straws for the kids cups! My kids spilled their drinks twice because the straw is twice the size of the cup. It could be that I have not properly straw-trained my children, but I bet other parents would appreciate that touch. Don't order new straws! Just cut them shorter with scissors when you're sticking a straw in a kids cup. Little touches like that will fortify your "family first" brand. Lunch prices are super reasonable - they have a $6 lunch special (burger, wings or pulled pork sandwich). Does NOT come with fries. We got two burgers and a side of Cajun fries. The burger was just ok - it reminded me of a frozen Costco burger. Not any flavor in the burger itself (very bland) but the bun and toppings were good and fresh. Also came with a mustard-y thousand island type dressing that was good. The fries were also good - the Cajun seasoning almost had a sweet aftertaste which was kind of weird since I was expecting more spicy. But the Cajun ranch was delicious! We sat outside which was nice except for the lady smoking so we were smelling her ashes waft over our lunch. There is a new Strings at the Beach in the old Terrys Country Store. A perfect neighborhood gathering place. We arrived for lunch and found the space warm and welcoming. Lots of outdoor and in door seating The beer selection was minimal at our visit due to popularity of this newly opened Brewery. However finding a delicious beer was not a problem.I chose a "Red Cap" a delicious amber. We sat at the bar and were able to place our food order with the bartender. If you sit outside or inside in the massive gathering area you order at the counter. There were 3 of us and we ordered 3 different entrees. My grilled chicken sandwich was delicious. I tried to come on a Saturday night and the parking lot was so packed I had to leave due to no spots. Came back on a Monday night and it was nearly empty. The entrance is also kind of weird, there are two but they are both inside of fences so it is easy to miss because you think you are looking for a "front" door, not two side doors. Once inside, you choose your own table, and they all had a different NFL team's logo which was fun. The service is walk up, and is two separate lines for beer and food. I can see how it could get super backed up on a busy night having to constantly order from different lines as opposed to having table service. The cheese fries + brisket were really good and loaded with brisket. Fries were crispy and the cajun ranch on the side was tasty. We came on a Saturday to watch college football and had a great time! Tons of seating and TVs. Ambience was lively. It's family-friendly and has a turfed area for kids to play. The food was 10/10. I'm a local. Do not come here unless you actively want to get frustrated. I live within walking distance and have been here twice. I originally gave them a two star and now will give them a one star. 1. It's overpriced and they nickel and dime on everything. The bike racks are even cheap. $12 burgers don't come with a side and it's extra for sauces. 2. There is a separate line for food and then another for beer. You can't order both at one line. Lines are brutal here and you have to wait on yourself for anything you need. 3. I had a gift certificate and it didn't work. They were having "problems" and had no procedure for it. They have several locations, so it's not new. So I paid for it and was advised to email the issue. So I threw the "gift certificate" away worth $50 that I couldn't use. While visiting family in Jack's Beach, we decided to try Strings brewery. The menu is not very big however, the food was very, very good. The brisket sandwich was one of the most delicious and tasty brisket sandwiches ever. A small Katie salad with goat cheese spring mix, and some other items was nicely sized and very tasty. A very nice burger, which was half price today, on Monday. The fries, both regular, and Cajun, were crunchy and seasoned perfectly. The waitress could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. Being a sports bar decor is simple with lots of screens. That's really all you need for a sports bar with great food and great beers. We will be back. read more

If I could do a zero, I would. We walked in and got a table not understanding this place is 100% self serve. After a few minutes we realized this and I went to order at the order station. Only 2 people ahead of me, but soon realized the young lady taking orders was having difficulties. Not sure what all the problems were, but it went on and on. Finally the guy in front of me got irritated and announced he was done and leaving. Finally ordered and went back to the table. Eventually had to go back because we never got our drinks. She didn't apologize and just grabbed 2 cups and said she forgot to give them to us. Was not given a receipt, this will be important later. Finally our 2 burgers come made incorrectly and sent back. Took longer to get them back than when we originally ordered them. The food is average, for what we paid should have been better. My wife asked how much was everything and I told her $37+. She checked the menu and obviously we were over charged by $13. I spoke to a young manager and he said there was nothing he could do. And actually had a tone of like I was trying to rip them off. Disappointing as they are near our house. If you have young children this place is a must as there was small children running around everywhere. We came on a Sunday morning right as they opened. Staff seemed like they just woke up. It's a pet peeve of mine when I have to greet the staff/initiate the convo at an establishment. For being a family focused beer spot, they didn't seem too enthusiastic about the beer and I think the kid's area could be bigger given the amount of space they have. Went to watch jag season opener 2025. Dogs are no longer allowed inside which is fine, but patio has no fans and electricity everywhere. We asked if they had any fans available for patio and were told no. Ourselves and another couple left before game even started. TLDR Strings needs online ordering from the tables. Standing in line after line is not the way to do this. There is a reason NO OTHER restaurant has this model. We were so excited for Strings to open walking distance from us! In this location you NEED local support to survive but some business decisions will drive locals away. Namely too many lines and nickel and diming on the menu items. $3.50 for a soda and no refills? Bro. We went for the first time and first of all, there is no front door. You shouldn't be confused how to enter a business. I sat by the window and saw so many people walk back and forth looking for the main door, so it wasn't just me. Then when you walk in it isn't clear the process. There is no guidance on what to do. After wandering around, we found the tiny food ordering counter literally hidden in the corner and placed an order. The menu is pretty limited, especially the kids menu. Please add a kids burger and other standard kid options. Also include a kids drink like ALL other local restaurants. Two kids meals and two sodas was about $30 which is insane. Also BBQ sauce is not included and you must buy it at the counter but no one tells you. So if you forget and want sauce you have to get back in line. If you want a beer, you have to get in a different line at the bar. And if you want a second beer or more food, back in line!! This place NEEDS online ordering from the tables like Mojo taco. I do not want to have to get up and wait in line after line if I want more things. You are leaving so much money on the table. They also add a default 20% tip for the weird service and I assume they pay the workers server wages and they all seem annoyed and pissed to be there. I went to the bar for a beer and there were several in line and the customer at the counter was tasting beers while the other bartender was chatting with a customer and those in line just waited and waited. There are two registers so why did the second bartender just let the line get longer and longer? The neighbors REALLY want this place to succeed, so please work out the kinks and make this a smoother process for the customers.
