Had a wonderful Saturday afternoon here with several fellow Yelpers. While there is a downstairs bar, tables and area to mingle, go UP stairs. The rooftop bar is a really nice rooftop bar to enjoy your beer. Be warned, if here during the daytime bring some sunscreen, you just might get some sun here. The upstairs area has lots of seating and standing room. One corner had a small cushy couch and chairs, then there were numerous bar tables with stools, and along the perimeter were stools to sit. Great view here, and the upstairs bar has all the same beer you can get downstairs. Plus there is wine, and a food truck below that you can order and they bring it up to you. Don't worry about a bathroom, there is even one up here too. Beer, well they have a good variety of beers that will satisfy everyone. I always enjoy different ones, and feel free to sample before you buy. The service was also friendly and helpful with suggestions. One of my favorites is the Gullah Cream Ale, a crisp and dry beer with low IBU. Then the surprise was the Two Sides, a dark German lager that was tasty, smooth and no aftertaste. The best part of Revelry Brewing is the rooftop. Absolutely wonderful. We did arrive at a time when the rooftop bar was not serving thusly we had to make our treks up and down the staircase. They have quite the beer selection. I chose the most interesting Dopplebock but I'd have to say I was most impressed by their saison. It was quite tasty which I find unusual as most saisons don't do much for me. We did order from the food truck. I am not entirely sure what kind of food the food truck is trying to serve as it was partly Mexican and partly Asian type food. Seems like they are having an identity crisis. I've been here a few times. Haven't found a beer here I didn't like. They have a limited Scotch Ale that's running out. One of my favorites. Hoping it comes back again. The food truck is wonderful! The price for a flight was a bit steep ($10 for four tasters) but, in hindsight, they were fairly generous pours. The food is definitely over priced, though. We had a margherita flat bread and it was nothing more than five or six TINY slices presented on a wooden board with parmesan shreds and crushed red pepper dressing up the corners. Tasted great but for the price we were left wanting more. Having said all that, though, let's face it ... This is a brewery. We are there for the beer. And their beer is nice!!! read more

Very cool place to swing by on a sunny afternoon and enjoy some roof top views. I was with a group of people that were visiting from across NC, and our friend that lives outside of Charleston recommended that we come to Revelry. There is a lot of street parking in the area, which we utilized. We initially went to the bar downstairs and had a couple of drinks. It's a smaller area, but cool that you can see where all the beers are brewed. After a while we migrated upstairs to the rooftop patio. Great decision as it was very warm, but there was a nice breeze and kind of overcast. The two beers that I had were the "Never Sunny" New England IPA and the "Poke The Bear" American Pale Ale. I usually enjoy IPAs more, but the flagship beer Poke The Bear was definitely my favorite. I remember a couple of TVs downstairs, but not sure if they had any upstairs. Again, good views from the rooftop, and I am under the impression that they have a rotation of food trucks that post up outside as well. read more

This is my friends and I go to brewery when we drive up to Charleston for the day or a long weekend. The bartenders are super friendly and will tell you all about their beer! I always try a new beer when I come here and then head up to the rooftop! They have a bar upstairs and a great seating area with amazing views! Plus they have this awesome "beer elevator" to get the kegs from the main bar to the rooftop! This place is a must go. read more

I really enjoyed this little spot! Has a cute rooftop bar or a downstairs area. We started out sitting at the side area that overlooked a park and ended up moving to the couch by the fire. They're dog friendly and we enjoyed the beer. There are plenty of options if you enjoy IPAs but didn't have many lager options when we were there. The rooftop bar opens at 4, I think, but we were doing some day drinking so each time we wanted a new drink we had to go downstairs which wasn't too bad. The only downsides, which I'm not going to fault them for, were their small size and the bartender's attitude. The bartender we had seemed annoyed when we were looking at the menu as if we were supposed to know what we wanted immediately. I usually like to ask what the bartender likes but didn't think she was very approachable. After we ordered and paid, she handed our drinks off to us without a word. With the size of the space, I could see it getting very crowded in the evenings, especially on the weekends, which would be difficult in COVID times. But overall, we had a good time and would definitely go back, for the beer and to maybe try their permanent food truck! read more

Awesome beer and food. My go to brewery when I'm in CHS. During the week they have food specials and just so happens the day I went there was sushi. I didn't know how it would be for a brewery sushi but it was really good. Their beers are awesome too and if you like sours and farmhouse ales they have a special bar about a block away that has the more special kind of beers which is fantastic too. I really liked this brewery! I was vacationing in Charleston when I came here. It's a super unique place with great views and great brews! We were here at night, so all of the city lights and bridge lights over the harbor were very pretty from the rooftop. All the employees were very kind and willing to help you find a beer that worked for you! My main complaint is location - it's in a pretty industrial area, off the beaten path and sort of outside the main city. read more

This place is just great. They have an open rooftop bar and an open garage sized lower bar. I think I saw 12 taps or so at the lower one last night. They have good seasonal rotations. I remember going this summer and they had lighter sours and pale ales for the hot weather. Now during winter they had imperial stouts and heavier ales. If I had two I'd recommend, I'd go with the lazy lover which has hints of spices and banana. And the kill Ian which is an Irish red. Prices are great, staff is friendly and attentive. No problems giving samples when requested. I'm guessing the sushi truck out front is a permanent addition since it's on the menu now. So if you wanted some food with your awesome beer, they have you covered. read more

A group of us came here while we were in town for a wedding and we loved it. We ended up staying for like four hours because it was such a beautiful day. We loved the beers and the cans were especially reasonably priced. It's nice that they have rooftop seating and lower level seating for those who want to bring dogs or don't want to walk a big flight of stairs. The sushi truck they have is really good too. my husband and i were in Charleston for the Wine & Food Festival, and decided to stop in here after an amazing lunch at Lewis Barbecue. it's so close by, you'd be silly not to. i don't remember any beers that were particularly amazing, though i enjoyed what i had. what i do remember is how friendly and accommodating the staff were. we had just come from the airport and still had our bags with us. while we were able to find a spot for them near our seats at the bar, they did offer to keep them in the back so we didn't have to worry about them, if we decided to be a bit more mobile. the brewery is very dog-friendly, and we enjoyed interacting with a few pups while we were there. there's seating outside on the sidewalk, as well as upstairs. if you're in the area, definitely a great local brewery to check out. read more

We had the never sunny ipa at a different establishment and enjoyed it so much that we had to stop here! My husband and I shared a flight and then each ordered a beer, beers were pretty darn good! Favorites were the lefty loosey and cream ale. We didn't have any food but it smelled and looked amazing. Also their gear is awesome, hats off to whoever their graphic designer is. Also, if you do stop here I would highly recommend venturing to the hold afterwards to try unique beers...revelry will provide you with two tokens to take to the hold for 2 tasters. read more

A great brewery that has wonderful IPAs. My favorite is the Overly Friendly IPA. It gets insanely crowded on weekends, which makes me want to avoid it, but they had a food truck that served sushi burritos. T obo Sushi was the highlight of the night actually! I had the fried sushi burrito and you can choose 2 from the 4 options: crab, shrimp, tuna, and salmon. I had the tuna and salmon and it was amazing. They don't skimp out on the filling or fish. For $11, I say order it! The view on the rooftop is pretty spectacular, but is too crowded for my liking. It is worth checking out and if you don't like beer, do it for the sushi burrito. read more

This brewery is pretty solid. Parking is a bit sparse so you may be walking a little bit to make it in. All the beers they had to offer were pretty solid and the service was great. The inside is wide open with there being an upstairs if your willing to make the trek up and down each time you get a beer. Why the loss of a star? I feel the flights were a bit pricey, parking isn't all that great and to my preference I don't care for the atmosphere but that may be niggling a bit. Revelry also serves their own food and I am very happy they do. Their Sushi burrito was great. I chose to get it fried and went with the tuna and salmon. Out of all the breweries I've visited in Charleston [Frothy, Holy City, Palmetto and Freehouse] Revelry is by far my favorite. Just a short drive from downtown and fairly close to Palemtto, for those of you looking to brewery-hop, Revelry is inviting with a good selection of space and a clean but relaxed space. I love the extra details: the outdoor patio space and large garage doors that open up to the bar. The old piano that takes up part of the bar space with plenty of seats directly at the bar as well as the outside seating and another high-top seating area. For those of you looking to catch a game, they do have two tv's as well. Revelry has a flight option but you can also just sample something before purchasing. While they might not have been the best beers I've had, I did enjoy the Funkmaster Brett & The Furious Hops (one of the first Belgian IPA's I've had) as well as the Conjured Memories (winter ale), but Revelry's large selection has options for everyone. If you're looking for a place to eat {although Revelry does offer food} or grab another beer post Revelry, I highly recommend Edmund's Oast. Let's just say they have 48 beers on tap! Overall, Revelry is definitely a brewery you should visit if you're looking for a chill space and good beer, plus it doesn't hurt that it's conveniently located to downtown but far enough that it will only attract craft beer hunters. read more
