I've handled two major renovation during the 40 years we've been in our home. I am beyond capable of understanding a quote on a deck (the small project I'm planning now) AND I never sign a contract the day it is presented. I like to get at least three quotes on any job. I had one other company back in 1977 not meet with me unless my husband was home - I totally thought things had changed by now, but guess not for everyone UPDATED: Yes, I received more than one phone call letting me know that an exception would be made to meet with me without my husband. I informed each caller that I had other options and that I did not want further calls. Hopefully no more calls from this company. I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. She was pleasant at first then called me back and told me her worker said he was told by the gentleman here that they did not have to worry about there mess he would take care of it, he didn't want them on his property... 1st off there was no man here ( no one was home at all...) 2nd one of the guys was already on the property picking up the big pieces of trash they let go. She said well he did run his magnet over your driveway, There's NO possible way he did with all the nails that were left and we also have 3 cameras that face our driveway 1 points straight down it one across it and the other the front and the only time it picked anyone up was when he was here picking up the big mess! She did tell me they would be here the next morning between 7-8 am I am still waiting for them but when I called her to ask if there was an eta she blew up on me, was Cussing me out and Hung up on me, Again this was all caught on camera, when I told her I am leaving a review. It's a builders grade glass door, so the lower quality of the door made it more difficult to repair. All of the other companies we obtained bids from said it couldn't be repaired and quoted 2500 to 3000 for a replacement. Peter came over on a Sunday morning and repaired it expertly. Our front window had a broken sash and required a complete replacement. The replacement cost Peter quoted was a reasonable price and he took out the old damaged window and replaced it with a new one, spending time caulking and finishing the job. Peter responded quickly and provided a quote before beginning the job. I highly recommend Pat Builders.
