Updating my review. James did come out today 8/4/25 and addressed the issue. Also owned up to if better communication was made on his part, it wouldn't have gotten to having to leave a terrible review, so I'm changing my review to 3 stars. If I could give zero stars I would. I have windows installed in 2022 this company says they back their installation for 5 years and I'm also supposed to have a lifetime warranty on the product itself. Patio door window started leaking 11 days ago when we got the crazy rain. Reached out to James who is the owner of the company. He tells me he is going to come out and he never shows up, texts, calls. My last two messages to him have gone completely un-answered. I had a private contractor come out just to look and this was their findings: The nailing flange around the door and transom window they did not install flashing tape around the window or door. Also the j channel isn't caulked around the window or door preventing water from getting behind the siding. Also missing caulk or cracked along upper transom window. Then the trim that connects the transom to the door isn't sealed in left edge. For them to fix it they want $400. To me with those findings it is an install issue and since James won't even have the courtesy to come out, he doesn't care about the people who have already PAID a bunch of money for windows and doors. I will be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau and if I have to pay another person to fix their work, I will take them to small claims court. You spend $7,000 on windows and you don't expect to have to deal with this 2 years after they are installed. Extremely disappointed and disgusted on how this small business operates. read more

Warranty Work We bought a townhouse where Supreme Windows had replaced all of the windows a year earlier. Our home inspector noticed some small gaps and openings on the outside and inside. We contacted Supreme Windows about doing warranty work, and they were very responsive. Lazaro and his crew were sent out after another job that they had in the city. They were very professional and got right to work caulking and sealing the outside on the second and third levels. Then Lazaro caulked around the windows inside, and he was very thorough. After receiving several estimates for the job, I decided to go with Supreme Windows. From the sales call to the installation, they were knowledgeable, thorough and professional. Additionally, I felt that James, the owner, actually cared about the job and my satisfaction. Sales Process -- Ron arrived right on time for our appointment. He was very knowledgeable about his company's products and service and was respectful of our needs and budget. I never got the impression of a "hard sell" that I had experienced with several of the other companies that I had interviewed. Instead, I felt that he and the company were very appreciative of my business and consideration. I had done some considerable homework on what window installation would cost in my area, and in the end, I feel I received a very fair quote for a quality product. I liked that I was provided a full quote right there at the appointment, that included everything (no nickel and diming later), with a detailed warranty. Window Measurement -- The following weekend, Lazaro arrived to take detailed measurements for fabrication of the windows. I learned that he would also be the crew leader for the installation, which I appreciated. Installation -- Approximately 3 weeks later, the windows were completed at the factory and I scheduled the installation with James. The crew showed up on time. The only small hiccup was that the truck delivering the actually windows from the factory was delayed over 3 hours. Apparently it had stopped elsewhere first to deliver another order on the way? The crew started with the second floor apartment and did what they could to prep and remove the existing windows while they waited for the truck to arrive. It was a windy day, and so having all the windows removed at once made a bit of a mess with debris blowing around the apartment. It probably would have gone a bit more smoothly if the windows had arrived as originally planned by 10am. Once the windows arrived, the rest of the installation went quickly and efficiently. The crew was very diligent about minimizing debris as much as possible, draping furniture to protect it and vacuuming each work area as they went along. One thing to note... I was impressed by the crew when one of them noticed that the tempered window we were having installed was not operating properly. They actually called it in and a gentleman from the factory showed up to fix it. Ultimately, this is probably something that I would never have known or noticed, but they cared about the job to ensure it was done correctly. The installation of our 40+ windows took two days. Before the crew left, James called to ensure that I was entirely satisfied and thanked me for my business. The crew cleaned up the work areas well, and the new windows look great. I initially waffled between 3 and 4 stars. Honestly, I think at this point even 3 was a little generous as the more honest answer. I think I was distracted by the good price, but you get what you pay for. Anywho, my dad is a second generation contractor/builder. He helps us with a lot of things, and I mean a LOT. He lives 2 hours away and he told us that he didn't want to replace these windows because he'd have to bring scaffolding yadda yadda. Every.Single.Time. he looked at these new windows from the outside he mentioned that he saw a gap, or a separation or something. He was never impressed with them. Well this past weekend he brought his scaffolding up to help us fix some siding that was all wonky. As long as he was bringing one section, he decided to bring the second section and caulk the entire exterior of this window (as probably should have been done originally). Once I got up there with him, It was completely obvious that there were gaps. One was (in my dad's words ) "Big enough to fit a kitten in" and it WAS, seriously... a big gaping hole at the top corner of the window, it looked like the cut the fascia too small and used it anyway. There was something else he mentioned that wasn't done the "right" way, but I can't remember what that was now. He was sort of mumbling to himself about it. We replaced these windows because they were probably 60 years old and rotten and leaking into the walls. As we were taking the scaffolding down my dad said "After looking at them, I'm actually surprised they weren't still leaking" I read a few other reviews. It seems universal that their caulking skills suck. Messy, and much worse: sporadic. It doesn't work if only 75% of the caulk is actually where it is supposed to be. I ended up re-caulking all their mistakes myself. Here are a few other things I couldn't fit in the original review. The trim they cut for me was so poorly measured they had to fill a ton of it with wood filler. Seriously, this is your job, installing windows and you can't work a miter box? They also ripped my drywall getting the windows out. Ok, they were super old, I understand. But they just slapped some spackle over the top and left. They didn't even mention that it happened and let me know I'm going to need to sand and paint it. (I suppose it was glaringly obvious). When they replaced my glass block window they did not re-hook up my dryer vent. I knew how dangerous this was so I hooked it back up myself. But my husband (and many many people) had NO idea that it was venting carbon monoxide into our house. Also, the screen that they broke and were going to just leave, and then they had to come back and have it put in. Well they bent it too. We could see from the outside. My dad assumes this is because they did not put the window in square.... I would not be a repeat customer. read more

Pros: -Seller, owner and installation crew are all very nice people. -The price. Cons: -uncomfortable strategy/ pressure to sell -there is lack of communication among the departments. -we were unlucky with the installation/results Daniel(the seller) comes and gives a 3 hour lesson on windows. We learned so much and we are thankful. He give us one price, and when we say we can not afford that much. He says, well, i can give you a great price but you have to sign today. Otherwise I will give you the retail price valid for a year. We were in shock with his strategy as we let him know, but we were thinking, what if someone else charges us more? It is a good price. So we signed. (we sort of regret it). He told us they would do a lead test. Since we have a baby, we are very concerned about toxics around him. James (Owner) comes and measures the windows to be replaced. He brought a window sample (as we had asked him). He said we had lead since the building is over 100 years old. So the windows will be replaced from the outside and the inside will be covered with plastic. There wont be any dust. 1 Attempt: Installers come and realize that the windows are in a second floor (they didn't know). Also, they didnt know they had to replace them from the outside, so they were not prepared for that. They left, and we rescheduled. 2 Attempt: Installers come and after 2 hours of work that included removing the old windows, they realize that those windows are the wrong size! We get very upset, and James tells us it was the factory that made a mistake. Ok. We reschedule for the following week. We have windows covered with plastic and red tape for 8 days!!. Nice look and smell (my sarcasm). Now thats more upsetting. 3 Attempt: Installers come and finish the job in 3+ hours. We love how they look! The installers painted the trim very nice and we thank them for that. BUT the next day, we look again at our beautiful windows and realize that there is air coming in and there is bumps of silicone in two windows that look horrible. The poor baby got a cold from the air coming in. Scheduled for the installers to come and fix it. The installers come a few days later in the evening, tired. We understand. They tell us that one window wasn't closed all the way (we didn't know how modern windows work). They "fixed" the bumps in the silicone with the wrong color and looks less bumpy but horrible. I texted James some pictures of the "problem". He said Daniel will take care of it. Daniel comes for the remaining balance. We pay him. He "fixes" the silicone problem by putting more silicone (right color) on top of the issue. Hum, still looks bad, but better than before. I told him, it should be done good from the first time. He cleans the windows because the installers left their fingerprints everywhere. He apologizes for all the chaos. The end. Oh no!!! One of the windows still feels like there is cold coming in. I guess we will give it a month, and then we are putting nice looking PLASTIC. We dont want to pay crazy $ for the gas bill. Unfortunately, we can't recommend supreme windows. I wish them the best and hope they get better. They are a pretty new company (compared to others), so mistakes can happen...but it happened with us. read more

Salesperson was eager to make a sale. Said it was the end of the month for his sales. He wanted half up front without a contract and didn't want to make a second trip to deliver the contract obviously he didn't hear about email or the pony express. Overall he was annoyed that I didn't agree with "his" terms and left upset. He never once mention anything about the windows, it's manufacturer, quality, warranty not one word about the window. We hired James and his team at Supreme Windows to replace a large picture window at the front of our house, as well as the metal capping and caulking around the entire bay window area. We also requested that they replace a garage window. James came out to inspect the picture window and seemed incredibly competent. The price was also slightly lower than what other contractors had quoted. We signed a contract, and delivery and installation was promised within 2-3 weeks. Everything beyond this initial consultation was a huge headache. After 3 weeks and no call from James, I called. I was told that our window had "just arrived yesterday" but that he was busy and couldn't schedule installation. I call back later in the week and was again told that the window had "just arrived yesterday". Fine. Scheduled installation for the following Monday, but James doesn't show. Fine. Re-schedule installation for later in the week. AGAIN James doesn't show -- claims that the window was broken that morning and it has to be re-ordered. On the third try, the window is finally installed by two members of James' team (James does not come out). The window is fine, but the attention to detail was incredibly poor. The brown caulk on our metal capping outside is all over our white window trim, the white trim on our home's interior surrounding the window is chipped and unpainted, and there is a knee HOLE in our wall. Unbelievable. They also did not install the garage window as promised. In sum, I really can't understand the positive reviews for Supreme Windows. I was given a major run-around, only to have a shoddy job completed. I was given $100 off our installation for the trouble in scheduling, but that was little consolation for the amount of clean-up and repair that had to be done after the job was "completed" by James' crew. read more

Supreme Windows is outstanding. We recently replaced several 100 year old double hung windows in our house in Bowmanville. We shopped around and got quotes from three companies. We were pleased with the attention we received from all three companies but Supreme Windows stood above the rest. James was extremely patient in explaining all of the various window options to my wife and I, including vinyl and wood, and answering all of our questions. In fact, he came back a second time when we were still going back and forth on what type of window we wanted. And for the icing on the cake, Supreme Window's quote was the lowest. Supreme Windows replaced various foggy windows in our 30 years old house. (wood frames) From moment one, their costumer service was very good and polite. I was helped by James, the owner, who is very attentive. Everything was good, except for the half moon window that I have on the master bedroom, which got foggy not even 1 year and a half after its installation. I called them to replace it, and they agreed to it. (At no additional cost, as it was under guaranty) And now it comes the reason why I am not giving them a 4 stars rating. We needed 3 rounds of people coming to my place, to finally get this done. The first crew, came and claimed that they needed a toll ladder to be able to replace the glass, so they came, dropped the new glass on the entrance and left. I had to contact Danny and follow up with him several times to get updates and deadlines, while the (not covered glass) was seating on my entrance. After few weeks, they sent another team that tried replacing the window but while installing the new glass, they broke it. So I had a broken window installed, and they had to order another one. This happened in December 23. Finally, on January 30 (I was all this winter time with a broken window in place) the salvation arrived. Michael Gandy!!!!! He was EXTREMELY savvy and knowledgeable. He spot the problems right away, proposed real solutions to solve them, agreed on a date to fix it, and took care of it. The window looks better now than when we bought the house. He even cleaned up the mess derived from the water that had entered to the wooden frames through the gaps from the previous job. He was clean, precise, and careful. Additionally, he was very patient explaining to me what he was doing and why was it necessary. He obviously knew what he was doing, and took the time to analyze my specific problem and window. He even came prepared w different materials to try on. (No toll ladder needed, btw) He even went the extra mile and offered to fix (for free) another window that was lacking the locking piece. I am sure that some of you will agree with me, that now a days, is not easy to find professionals like this one. Really disappointed in them. They came out and my husband gave a downpayment check, which he was told could be cancelled w/in 3 days. Sadly on the 3rd day we had a death in the family and didn't call in time. We also realized we cannot afford it, and right before Christmas can't spare an extra penny. We called the 4th day and they refused to give us our money back. While this was w/in their right anyone who isn't compassionate about a death loses a lot of points in my book. Installed windows with Supreme for my home, Initially sales pitch was good but just weeks ago the window malfunctioned and the sales guy was really rough and told me that it was my problem that I broke the window even though the promise was lifetime warranty& let me know instructions through phone for temporary fix and was questioning my skills rather than providing support, These windows were installed just 6 months ago wasn't installed properly or their contractors who installed were novice; he just guided me to fix under the impression that I broke it wasn't the case. it took them two weeks to send someone to attend to that issue, as far as I am concerned wouldn't even let them next time near my home to do any work they are unprofessional to be polite read more

We needed to replace all the windows plus two sliding doors in our townhome and got two bids -- one from a company that did the windows in our previous condo and the other from Supreme Windows. The Supreme bid was slightly less than the other company, but it was the friendly service and fast response time from James, the sales rep, that made us choose Supreme. James was attentive and took a substaintial amount of time at our place going over measurements, demonstrating the product, and answering our questions. Our windows arrived right on schedule and the installers were able to put them in immediately. The crew was efficient, tidy, and friendly. The only reason I didn't give Supreme five stars is because the installation ended up taking two days instead of one due to a slight issue with the sliding patio doors we had replaced. However, I was very glad that the crew took their time on the install instead of rushing to get the project complete. After two weeks, we're very satisfied with the product and happy we chose Supreme. Whereas we used to feel the heat penetrating through the windows (we have a lot of southern exposure); now the interior window is cool to the touch, nor do we feel drafts coming through the doors. Salesman promised something and quoted another. We aren't experienced enough to have understood the quote abbreviations and details. My wife and I agreed to purchase the windows based on the salesman's word we would have the same materials as our existing windows. The existing windows were completely PVC, including the trim. We expected PVC trim and got cheap wood so now our new windows look totally out of place with our existing windows. I sent an email to the salesperson and received a very short and rude reply. He said he would not consider doing what we agreed to and said it was our fault for not understanding the quote We aren't familiar with all the construction abbreviations, etc. so that's a pretty unfair statement. He then insulted the other company's products and reputation (another BBB A+ rated company) as part of his justification. He also stated that my wife and I made an assumption in believing all companies use that type of material. We did NOT make any such assumptions, we took the salesman at his word. I ordered some windows and doors for my townhouse to replace windows that had broken seals. We are very happy with the windows. Supreme Windows matched an offer from a company that refused to return my calls or keep their promise on the price. Supreme Window has kept their promise on the price of the windows. The windows have stopped the gusts of air that use to come through our house. We had to wait an extra week or two for installation, but that was due to the window manufacturer and not Supreme Windows. The installation crew was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. They answered any questions that I had for them during the installation. I would have liked to see them clean up a bit better after installation, but overall, I am very satisfied with the job. However, the first rain after the installment we found out the new window in our living room LEAKED. So, we contacted them about the situation and asked them to fix it as they did not complete their job if it's raining in our house. They then told us they could come fix it, but there would be a charge!!! So, we need to pay them to come and finish the job they never completed? Not acceptable. We are now taking care of the caulking ourselves as they aren't willing to finish a job they were paid to complete. The Good: I had Supreme Windows give me a quote to replace the windows in my bedroom last September (2013). Daniel was chatty and personable and gave me a good quote. The windows were installed on time and the crew who installed them did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. The Not-So-Good: I have pretty good hearing and as i live on a busy street I opted for the gas fill to kill the noise a bit better. Unfortunately the improvement was negligible and I really wasn't happy after paying for the upgrade. I contacted Daniel directly and explained that i was more than a tad annoyed. Much too-ing and fro-ing ensued on the best way to proceed. The Excellent: Daniel worked with the company and with me to find the best solution possible and ended up replacing them with different glass packs (laminated). I couldn't be more happy. Daniel even came out on the day i was scheduled to have the new glass packs installed to tell me the guy had called in sick. After asking me what I wanted to do, he offered to take my glass inserts to the factory himself and bring them back and install them when they were done. This was done on a Friday, I live in Wrigley, with a cubs game on.... the traffic was horrid. The reason for 5 stars after all the drama? They gave me a competitive price. They delivered on time and were clean. Most important ,they worked with me to resolve my problems - you can't ask for more than that. read more

Just had Supreme Windows out to replace 9 double hung windows and 2 half moon on our 2nd floor in Buffalo Grove. We woke up the next morning to the sun shining, but no heat roasting us alive. Temperatures on the 2nd floor stayed the same as the 1st floor for the first time. Great price, service, and warranty. read more
