    Order counter

I really wanted to like this place but it was very bleh! I did not like having to order food and drinks at the bar counter then go find a table. There was a server that brought our food to the table so I don't understand why she couldn't bring the drinks to us also? If you want to order more drinks you have to get up and go to the bar counter again. The tacos are a bit pricey for street tacos, mine were over cooked and kind of bland, so was the rice but the beans were good. The Paloma and margarita were also good but the menu is very limited! The vibes of the outdoor is what I really enjoyed the most.

This place was super cute. It felt like I was in 3 separate spaces, the bar and ordering, the couches, the outdoor patio. I like that the menu is specific. The margaritas were delicious and I tried guava! The servers were kind. You order at the front, wait for your order at the bar, and then go find a table. There is a sever coming around but she's just cleaning up tables. The down side is if you want another drink, the server can't bring it to you, you have to get back in line. This is a great spot to watch games, a few tvs. The tables at the couches are too far away because they have been bolted down and I hope there aren't a lot of indoor seating because it's gonna be a party/club at night (that would be fire because the dj was on point). The tacos were so flavorful and the carne Asada quesadilla was so delicious. The green salsa is my favorite. I will definitely be back as this business continues to grow!

I'm really happy this place moved in here. It's a great location right across the street from the light rail stop, so you can stop in before heading further downtown for a game or concert. The food was all really good and for a great price. For $69 we got a margarita, church music beer, chips with salsa and guacamole, a quesadilla, a bean and cheese burrito and four tacos. When it now costs $20 just for a burger downtown, this was a welcome change. I tried all three tacos but the pollo asado (el pollo) and carne asada (el asado) were my favorite. I also really liked the corn tortillas for the tacos. I will definitely be back and will be bringing my dog because the patio is dog-friendly.

    Awesome signage

The food is delicious, 10/10. I had the carne asada tacos & Al pastor tacos. I loved the music they were playing when we arrived, the ambiance is amazing. Service is awesome. I definitely recommend trying this place next time you want tacos. Only downside is the parking, as is anything downtown. Call me old fashioned but I hate paying $15 to park.

So let me preface this review on my inebriation level as being pretty high after hitting Pinkys,…read morebut we decided to hit this place up on a bar hop, because why not when your just throwing them down. This is very cool joint with a dark feel too it. They have a basement bar which we ventured into and they also have an upstairs bar as well, so you can fit a lot of drunk People in there. It also features a lot of great art that fits really highlights the Mexican bar vibe. The waitress/bar tender/ agave expert was very welcoming and know a lot about their tequilas and mescal option. I love me some smokey mescal, I dont remember thet name of the drink but it had some kind of elote triple sec or something like that along with Mescal and it was quite tasty. Trust me I was in no state to remember ingredients but this is from my foggy memory. I also got a pick of the cool ice blocks that has an Agave inlay that they put in the tumbler with your drink. I will definitely be going back for their wide Mescal and tequila options. I didn't see food in the bar, but they have a food truck out front that smelled amazing, but sometimes I simply dont want to eat when there are plenty of drinks to be had. They do have Esquites, Tacos, Quesadillas, Mini Chimis, and loaded fries. I will have to do another review on the food when I am not out being a borracho. They do take reservations and host private parties which would make for one raucous Christmas party if you don't work at a Christ loving conservative company like me. You can also order bottles of mescal and pick it up on location which is pretty awesome as especially after trying out the selection. Happy hour is every weekday that they are open to try out some of their cocktails. This is a great option to impress your tinder date if you are a lush like me pr want to show of your sophisticated drinker side.

It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

The sausage & broccolini pasta had good overall flavor with a decent kick of heat, though it leaned a little too heavy on the salt. The miso and lemon pepper wings were both fine, typical wings. My glass of wine tasted flat, so that was a bit of a letdown. Surprisingly though, the highlight drink of the night was my date's IPA. I don't even like IPAs, but it was genuinely delightful! Since the restaurant doesn't seem to have a designated lot, parking downtown can be a gamble. I got lucky and found a street meter for just $1.20/hour. However, my date ended up in the private lot directly behind the building and that was a $33 charge for 3 hours! Just a heads-up to think about about parking options ahead. Overall is was a decent date night experience.

The ambiance is dark like most speakeasies. Super modern looking with live plants gracing one of the walls and alcohol on the rest of the wall requiring a ladder to access top shelf. If you are hungry, the bar does offer some food. There are a variety of tacos on the menu and a raw bar. On the raw bar you can get oysters and shrimp. Lastly the bar does have a small happy hour. Located in Downtown Phoenix, the parking situation is a little hairy. There is paid parking nearby,…read morebut it definitely is better to come a little earlier to scope out the parking situation and get that sorted before your reservation. My party and I had a reservation on a Saturday night at 9pm (when it's 13 people, what can you do). What kind of sucked though (and mainly why I'm deducting a star) is that we did wait an additional half hour to be seated after our reservation time. Our theory is that they didn't think the entire party would actually arrive, and they were not ready to accommodate us. To be fair, the restaurant IS on the smaller side, but there was 0 communication during that half hour on what was going on... which isn't really good for us either. We got the original set, and this somewhat confused me as well. The food was really good, and was definitely a restaurant that I'd go to for the experience, but for some reason some of the meats were doubled while others weren't. The double portions were really nice since our party was so large, we needed to split the food between 4 different grills (so each table got 2 grills each, feeding 6-7 people in total or 3-4 people per grill), but then we had to share the portions where we only got one serving. It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.
