Stopped here on a Sunday morning around 9am. Reminds me of an old school diner, with a projection screen inside playing I love Lucy. Was pretty quiet until about 930, starting getting really busy inside. The food had good flavors and was brought out pretty quickly. Awesome view of the city outside, and lots of parking.

pretty good food but in an area that is kind of sketchy. The staff was super friendly and I did like the food for the price. I'm a big 50s guy, so I like the decor also.

Diner 50 will take you back in time with the 50's style diner and the amazing food. Walking in you will see the wonderful 50's style restaurant including TV shows, such as the Andy Griffith Show playing on tv. The service at the counter was great. I was provided many good options by the staff and absolutely loved what was suggested.

Our favorite local diner, with the best coffee and shakes! Gabriel always gives the best and nicest service. We love the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Very delicious and filling. You get a lot for your buck. The atmosphere is 50's theme and super cute , they always have I Love Lucy playing, my favorite! Overall a great dining experience.

Chicken, feta, avocado and tomato omelette! Fresh fruit!

Super cute hidden spot!! Amazing service and great food. Such a beautiful omelette plate with fresh fruit. My friends had the corn beef hash and it was also amazing!

Food was generous portions & so flavorful - I had the BLTA w/sourdough & my friend had the breakfast burrito that was the BOMB delish Daniel our server was very pleasant & stayed on top to top off our drinks and with the best smile. And the ambiance was so retro cool . 50's vibe AND THEN The adorable cut kitties next door were so fun We will be back!!!

Don't be an idiot. Come and eat here and leave in a happier place. Every part of this place hits the mark and then there's this added benefit of a kitty petting zone where you can go and pet them. The pancakes were AMAZING as were the burgers. The staff literally could not be nicer and the decor is retro fun. Great place for a date or a big family outing. I wish I didn't live 1500 miles away. I would be honored to be a regular at Diner 50.

Great food, and amazing staff. There was only 1 lady working, and she did really good maintaining Everything.

What magic did they put in the gravy?! It's so flavorful and delicious! I ordered the biscuits and gravy and I am very pleased! Our waiter and waitress were absolutely welcoming, kind and friendly which I appreciate always. It sets the tone for a pleasant experience. As far as the ambiance, it definitely sets the intended vibe! I do wish there was some old school music playing in the background for some added feel but overall, I love it! Thank you Diner 50! Sending love from your New Indian Customer all they way from India :)

We were in the middle of driving on the highway to Sedona and just happened to search places in the area. At first the place looks like a hole in the wall. But we were quickly greeted and the great service continued the whole time. I went with a party of 5 and everyone thought the food was really good.

The chocolate egg cream, which contains…read moreneither egg nor cream (the audacity), sounds like something a seven year old invented during a fever dream. It was gone in five minutes and I would have licked the glass if my husband wasn't watching. I also had a cherry phosphate, and if you have never had a phosphate, I am genuinely sorry for your loss. I have been a fan since my first one at Aglamesis Bros in Cincinnati, and this one brought back every bit of that sour, tangy, cherry nostalgia. Order both. Alternate sips. You're welcome. The Reuben was a heavy hitter. Corned beef so tender it practically dissolved, sauerkraut quiet enough to stay in its lane while still adding a nice salty backbone, and I had the good sense to ask for extra thousand island for dipping. That was a power move and I stand by it. My husband had the meatloaf sandwich special, which was so good I spent the rest of the meal in quiet mourning over my own ordering choices. Absolutely outstanding, no notes. The potato salad he got as his side was excellent too, which only added to my suffering. Now. The sides. The fries are mandatory. Hot, fresh, crispy outside, perfectly smooth and creamy inside, and tossed in some seasoning I cannot identify but will be thinking about for the next several weeks. Critical note: put the ketchup down. It clashes with the seasoning in a way that will disappoint you. Get a side of mayo instead and dip accordingly. Genuinely life changing. The Hawaiian coleslaw, on the other hand, is a trap I walked into so you do not have to. Sweet coleslaw is already a divisive concept, and this one doubles down with chunks of pineapple thrown in for reasons I can only describe as chaotic. If tropical fruit in your coleslaw is your thing, go for it. If you have any savory coleslaw loyalty whatsoever, order literally anything else. The ambiance is pure nostalgia, antiques everywhere you look, sandwiched on both sides by an antique shop, which is fitting because this whole place feels like a time capsule in the best possible way. And for my fellow vinyl collectors, this is a hidden gem. I turned around approximately six times and found a new box of records every single time. I did not come here expecting to go digging, but I am absolutely coming back to do exactly that. Apparently I cannot go anywhere without finding another way to spend money on albums. No regrets, this place has great taste in more ways than one.

Probably not going back to Dick's…read more.. We were visiting both Phoenix and Scottsdale with friends and decided to meet up at Dick's Hideaway for dinner after hearing good things. There were six of us, and we were quoted a 45-minute wait, which seemed reasonable at first. However, their system for managing waits is honestly pretty frustrating. There are no reservations, no text notifications, and no call when your table is ready. You're basically left hovering and guessing. We did make it back in time for our table, but a simple "hey, your table's ready" system would go a long way in making guests feel valued. We were seated around 8 PM after waiting and taken to a large corner booth in the back. Unfortunately, there were still two people from the previous party lingering at the table even after they had paid and the rest of their group had already left. I understand finishing drinks, but it felt inconsiderate given how busy the restaurant was and how long people were waiting. After being seated, it took about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table, and even then, not everyone in our group was acknowledged right away. Things didn't improve much from there. It took over 30 minutes just to place our food order. From what we could tell, there was only one server handling the entire restaurant. I can definitely empathize with how difficult that must be, but at the same time, when we first arrived, she appeared to be standing near the entrance rather than actively managing tables, which added to the confusion. When the food finally came out, it was very staggered instead of arriving together. I ordered the Taos tenderloin with green beans and fries. The sides were actually great--probably the highlight of the meal--but the steak itself was disappointing. I ordered it medium, but it came out with an overly charred, almost burnt crust that completely overpowered the flavor. The whole dish really needed basic seasoning like salt and pepper to bring it together. The atmosphere also didn't do much to help the experience. It's extremely dark inside--so much so that it's hard to see your food--and the space feels cramped. The layout is also pretty strange and honestly a bit off-putting. There's what appears to be a kitchen area right behind the bar, and then a full kitchen in the back--but what really stood out was the lack of separation near the restroom area. There's no proper door between the kitchen and the bathroom space, and from a small step down off the dining area, you can basically see straight into the kitchen if you wanted to. It just didn't feel very private or well thought out. Another thing that stood out was the portion sizes. While some people might see that as a positive, they were honestly too large--especially for those of us traveling who couldn't take leftovers with us. Slightly smaller portions might not only reduce waste but also help the kitchen keep up with demand and improve overall service speed. Overall, this ended up being more of a one-time experience than a place we'd return to. Between the disorganized wait system, slow and inconsistent service, and underwhelming food, it just didn't live up to the expectations we had going in.
