Wonderful neighborhood donut place. They have gluten free donuts, and they are good! Celiacs, no. There is lots of cross contamination and there just ain't a donut that hood to make it worth it... but they come close... I admit I've done it. My husband loves their donuts. His favorites are the plain raised ones. I love the rose cardamom chai! It's flavor is as wonderful as a donut could make me. They do have lots of vegan donuts. Husband says they are also delicious. Not kidding... the display case is what you imagine seeing in the perfect doughnut shoppe. They simply look so heavenly, you don't know which to choose. Sooo we bought a half dozen! (I'll be running 5 miles tomorrow lol!) The coffee was delish and went perfectly with these incredible creations. We had: Peach Slider, Salted Caramel, Banana Walnut, Blueberry Basil, S'mores, & Caramel Bacon! We shared quarters and halves and bites! This place is so cute! I came here with a friend for breakfast. They have a variety of unique flavors and we ended up ordering chocolate hazelnut and lavender. I was also eyeing the carrot cake flavor but ended up not getting it. The donuts are on the pricier side (~$3 each, depending on the "tier") but the flavors are definitely worth it. I am an omnivore- I enjoy vegan and non-vegan food- and you would never know that the majority of these doughnuts are vegan! My most recent trip was to pick up some Easter themed doughnuts. I have been getting a little bit of anxiety when going to pick up food for carry out, but Revolution had measured out squares for customers to stand on. Each square was six feet apart. Revolution is my go to doughnut spot in the city and I'm never disappointed. They have locations in the Oakhurst neighbourhood and Inman Park with free street parking at both locations. Three doughnuts are handmade and as their website states : OUR DOUGHS, GLAZES AND FILLINGS ARE ALL NATURAL, TRANS-FAT FREE, AND  MADE BY PEOPLE,  NOT MACHINES. I go to revolution because of their vegan selection and the flavor and variety of the doughnuts. I'm pretty sure I've had every flavor and there's not one that I haven't liked. This trip I went with the carrot cake doughnut. It's a vegan baked cake doughnut that is seasonal, its served April through May. The doughnut is $2.25 and in my opinion worth it. What's not to love {only the line out the door on a weekend }. Donuts both yeast and cake are delicious and some change seasonally. Locals know to purchase your weekend order on a Friday the night before and skip the line to scoop it up. But if you had to stay in the line that runs down the street on the weekend mornings, it does go by fairly quickly. You pay for the donut which ranges from two dollar to four dollars For the more fancy ones. If only I kept all the photos, that I was hiding from myself every weekend when I went during pregnancy -- to be fair I would walk the mile there and back to justify the splurge. Very tasty doughnuts for the most part! They are incredibly thick though, so don't go in expecting a light and fluffy Krispy Kreme doughnut - think more of a mix between those super heavy Publix ones and the day-old rocks at Dunkin'. While I wasn't over the moon on all four of mine (some of the combinations/ingredients are a bit extra....bechamel sauce and black forest ham on a doughnut?), it wouldn't stop me from returning. The online ordering process is interesting - you place your order the day before you want them, and they'll be waiting for you when you arrive the following day. I've driven by this location so many times and never realized it was here, nestled in the city of Decatur. The employees are very friendly, and honest about which doughnuts are the best sellers (top row) and the ingredients in each. Selection is decent but from what I can gather the flavors change pretty frequently and I'm excited for the Spring batch. Several folks came in for beverages only, so those must be a hit with the locals. When I came to the cafe I parked a crossed the street where the rail road tracks were and it was very easy to park in but a little hard to get out of. The inside is nice and feels very open even though it is a smaller space. We came in at 1:30 on a Saturday so there were about 8 types of donuts left to chose from and they all looked very good. Most of the options were vegan to me and my friends surprise. So we ordered the dark chocolate donut, the raspberry donut, and there peach tea. My friend really liked her dark chocolate donut and I loved the peach tea. My raspberry donut was a little tart and not my favorite flavor but that could just be personal preference. Revolution Doughnuts.... what can I say... this is really the ONLY place I go to to get doughnuts because their vegan options are always amazing. I usually go for the vanilla bean or chocolate cake doughnuts and seasonally the peach or strawberry slider (sells out fast so you have to get there early). Revolution Doughnuts is a popular donut and coffee shop that opened in Decatur in 2012. Their donuts have been featured on the Food Network and Cooking Channel. A line out the door is a common sight. People love this place. In general, I think the donuts here are good, but there are hits and misses. What differentiates Revolution from other donut shops in metro Atlanta is Revolution's donuts are made fresh daily with organic, all-natural ingredients and no preservatives. Since Revolution doesn't use any preservatives, their donuts don't last long. I learned that lesson the hard way after biting into 1.5-day-old donuts I'd brought home the day before. The donuts had become hard, dry, and unappetizing. Borderline inedible. Note these were yeast-style donuts so I'm not sure if their other style donuts fare better. For maximum enjoyment, you'll want to consume these donuts as soon as possible. My favorite donut at Revolution is the Buttermilk Bar. It's simple, but phenomenal. It's a glazed cake-style donut that sort of looks like a miniature loaf of bread. Like Revolution's other cake-style donuts, the Buttermilk Bar is hard and crunchy on the outside, but soft and somewhat moist on the inside. I think the Buttermilk Bar is kind of like eating a less dense, more airy pound cake. Most of the donuts cost $2-3 each. Some cost $3.50 or more. If you order a dozen, you get a discount. On any given day, they'll have about 20 varieties to choose from. Along with yeast and cake-style donuts, there's also "baked cake" donuts (pan-molded donuts that have been oven-baked) and filled yeast-style donuts. Like other "gourmet" donut shops around town, Revolution does get creative with its donut flavors and ingredients. Examples include their Peach Slider made with fresh peaches and a baked Carrot Cake donut. Lots of folks rave about the Crunchy Mister, a savory, filled donut. It's a play on the French croque monsieur ham and cheese sandwich. "Crunchy Mister" is more or less the English translation of croque monsieur. The donut is filled with slices of ham, bechamel sauce (French white sauce), and Gruyere cheese. I'm not as crazy about this donut as others are, but I recommend it if you're looking for a meaty donut/sandwich hybrid. A couple donuts I'm not a fan of are the Bacon and Salted Caramel donut and the Orange and Pistachio donut. There's nothing wrong with these donuts. I just personally don't like these particular flavor combinations and textures on a donut. I'd prefer a "plain" salted caramel donut (with no chewy bacon bits) as opposed to one with bacon. I'm not big on orange icing and while I love pistachios, I'm not a proponent of nuts on donuts. Usually, I prefer simpler flavors like Revolution's Vanilla Bean donut. It's yummy. It's like a Krispy Kreme original glazed donut, also yeast-style, except a little bigger and more dense and filling. The Maple Bourbon "Cro-Dough," Revolution's take on the Cronut or croissant-donut, is delicious. It's not as soft nor as delicate as other melt-in-your-mouth Cronut knockoffs I've tried, but it's still worth ordering. The Cro-Dough is big and sweet with a pleasant chew. The Apple Fritter is delectable. Its glaze is addictive. The donut is soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. It tastes authentically homemade. I can't comment much on the coffee here as all I've had is the iced coffee. It's fine. Their iced coffee is made from a cold brew. You add cream and sugar yourself. They have a self-serve coffee fixing station with milk, half and half, almond milk, simple syrup, and other stuff. The milk they sell comes from grass-fed cattle. Many standard coffee drinks are available for purchase including mocha, latte, Americano, cappuccino, and plain espresso. They also have tea (peach iced tea, chai), chocolate milk, and OJ. Most beverages cost $2.50-4.50 each. There's a limited selection of ice cream too. Service is terrific. The staff is friendly. Revolution uses Square for payment transactions so signed and itemized receipts can be automatically emailed to you. The shop is small. Inside, there's seating for about 20 customers (four four-tops plus window seating). Outside on the sidewalk, there are a couple tables that can seat four each. There are several free parking spots located directly outside the shop on either side of the street. If all those spots are taken, you can street park for free along nearby Cambridge or Feld Avenues. In the end, I give Revolution Doughnuts 3 out of 5 Yelp stars: "A-OK." read more

They have two locations-- the original location is in Decatur and they have recently opened up another location on Edgewood. They have a large variety of doughnuts and you order at the counter and can either get doughnuts to go or they will give you doughnuts on a tray if you are eating them in the restaurant. They also serve coffee! Things I like: Revolution always has super fresh and creative doughnuts. They have yeast doughnuts and cake- style ones, which are a bit more dense. They also have really creative types of doughnuts around holidays like bowtie shaped doughnuts for Father's Day and doughnuts incorporating Peeps during Easter, for example. My very favorite doughnut here is the Orange Pistachio, but some of my other favorites are the Cinnamon Sugar and the baked- cake style Shredded Coconut. But everything is great! Things I don't like: The parking can get a bit tricky at the Decatur location at times, but I've never really had a problem with it much. read more

I waited maximum of 15 mins before going in and it was worth it . They let 2 parties in at a time . They are fast and accurate with their orders. Apparently they have different flavors every month. I came in on a rainy day picked up some donuts for my husband and so . I got a dozen worth. Can easily be missed if you do not drive with caution. Located in a small plaza next to a cafe. Parking can be tight if it was busy day. Came in menu is pretty self explanatory hand written barista made coffee drinks. Cute ambience. Flavors I assume vary with season or up to baker. Prices vary on which level of the display the donut is on. For a dozen I payed about $28 bucks. Basic yeast glaze some chocolate cake cinnamon sugar and fritter. Chocolate cake donut was good day of. But next day which is today most of my donuts were pretty hard already. And they were in the box on our counter barely opened. I'm a doughnut snob, I grew up on Shipley donuts and I don't entertain convos about any other regional doughnut shops. That said, Revolution doughnuts are dessert. It's the only way I can justify having their doughnuts 3x in one week. Specifically the peaches and cream and the peach buttermilk. They are both so delicious I hate to see peach season come to an end, but they do give me something to look forward to next season. After being disappointed at one shop, we made our way here and it was a success. +1 because there was the cutest little donut earrings made from a little girl there for sale which I found adorable. Revolution donuts is a famous donut and coffee spot in Decatur. I love donuts but it feels a little overrated in my opinion. We had the chocolate cake, apple fritter, cinnamon sugar, and pistachio donut. The chocolate one was disappointing, I love chocolate donuts but this one did not make the cut. The apple fitter was delicious and sweet, you can't really mess up an apple fitter. Glad they didn't. The pistachio one also had orange flavor too. It was very sweet and the orange flavor over powered the pistachio. I liked the plain cinnamon sugar donut but wouldn't say anything special. The sprinkles and bacon one are famous but we don't eat meat so we didn't try it. Personally I like sublime donuts more and will be using my calories there. I got the revolution cream and an apple fritter. The revolution cream was so good! Yo this place was insane; I went there for breakfast when visiting a friend in Atlanta a few months ago. There was a line out the door on a Sunday morning so that was an indication that it was going to be good. My friend hyped this place up like crazy as well so I was like damn, it can't possibly be as good as she says it is. But I was wrong; the experience exceeded the hype, which is almost never happens. There were 3 of us and we shared 6 donuts. We got the Cro-Dough, dark chocolate yeast, caramel-bacon yeast, raspberry yeast, savory-crunchy mister, and lemon crumb. All of them were amazing. I'm not a donut expert, but there was a ginormous quality difference between typical donuts and these. For comparison, I tried Peter Pan donuts in NYC and loved them. But these donuts were astronomically more tastier than even Peter Pan himself. I guess the quality of the ingredients are better and I think it also made a difference that we went earlier in the morning when they are fresher. Prices weren't too horrible either. Like $2.50-$3.50 per donut. But considering how good they were, even someone as cheap as myself would conclude that it's worth it. Coffee was good too and you can get as many refills as you want. I also ordered a Rose Cardamom Chai, which as pretty freaking amazing. We passed it around the table and took turns sipping it. It felt like a sip of exotic heaven. Even with skim milk, it felt super rich. My favorite doughnuts have got to be the peach slider and the toasted almond. The peach slider had super ripe and sweet peaches inside a soft doughnut. The toasted almond had crunchy toasted almonds atop a sweet almond cake doughnut. Perfection. The other doughnuts were unique, but weren't my favorite. My friend loved the orange pistachio, although I wasn't a huge fan of the yeast doughnut. They were all really good, but quoting my friend, "they weren't revolutionary."
