Funny enough, I came here once back in 2019 and wasn't impressed, but I'm glad I gave it a second chance. We recently moved here from Michigan and have been on the hunt for sport stores and this one definitely understood the assignment. Revolution is spot on. My boyfriend was especially hyped over the Lakers attires , even though we're not from California, but we're LA babies at heart. The sports section is super cool. The women's clothing DOES lean more on the revealing, "festival" side, but they also have a solid amount of basics and normal fitting tops, which feels rare these days. Shoutout to Tricia and Rosario both were friendly and chill. The store is a bit strict, but I get it, retail life. You have to leave food and drinks at the front, which honestly didn't bother me since half the mall does the same thing anyway. Now... the only downside: the smell. I don't know what's going on, but it absolutely stinks in there. I noticed the same sewer type smell outside Target too, so I don't think it's the store's fault National City might just be going through something right now Maybe some air fresheners could help, though. I love this store. Ive been coming in for a long time and have always found something cute to wear last minute. Yes it's a little expensive but you're in Cali and this was the only street wear clothes store for a while. Rosario is such an angel. PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING HERE. I've given this store PLENTY OF CHANCES & yesterday was my last time. Let me start off by saying I am 9months pregnant. I grabbed about 12-15 outfits to try on so I wouldn't have to keep going back & forth since finding something to fit is hard at this point in my pregnancy plus would save me time. I am aware and respected the 2 outfits to try on at a time. (The girl that was helping me bring my other outfits I was trying on was the only person I am not upset about in this situation.) It was about 6:30 and I would step out here and there to show my fiance my outfits (there was no line behind me by the way) after trying on about 4 outfits one of the girls told me that I couldn't continue to try on the rest of my items because they close the dressing rooms @7. I asked her if she could please ask a manager or someone because I felt that was NOT my problem. She saw how many outfits I was trying on, She chose to let me try them on, that was a fault of time management of THEIR end. I don't know the store policy etc since I do not work there. After I talked to this other girl who just told me to hurry up, my fiance who was standing out the door told she was talking bad about me as if I was the one who was in the wrong. This store needs to handle TIME MANAGEMENT better, needs to understand that if your return policy is ONLY 24hours, us girls should be able to try on what we want without being rushed ESPECIALLY IF WE ARE PREGNANT!!! & the store itself doesn't close till 8! Following me around the store when I clearly don't even have a big bag enough to steal anything even if I was that type of person. Other instances where (during Covid) they didn't let you try anything on but also didn't let you return or exchange anything makes NO SENSE. I really hope this mall reconsiders having this store or the owners (some of the employees) there. Man I've been coming since high school when this store was smaller and located on the other end of the mall. Crazy how much time flies! They have clubbing attire which I don't have much of a need for anymore. But I will find cute workout tops or casual tops for a steal of a deal. I wish I could give zero stars. I have to agree with how crappy the customer service is. They sell knock off clothes but my boyfriend likes their jeans so that's why we go in there. I had just bought stuff from Target and we walked into the store and the sensors went off. One of the lady employees saw everything and said "I'll check your bags when you leave". I went to double check that there were not any sensors left on from Target, there wasn't, and continued to browse. My boyfriend and I ended up not buying anything so walked out. A few moments before we walked out another group of people walked out and the sensor went off again and the in store security went to follow the group but lost them. My boyfriend and I walked out and of course the sensors went off again. The in store security stopped me (almost tried to grab me and my things) and the lady that spoke to me previously walked out and forced me to open my bags. I obliged to show them that it's their sensors that need to be fixed but they insisted that I stole something. They started arguing with me in the middle of the mall! Never going back, I rather buy real clothes that are not knock offs than get harassed. Absolutely ridiculous. They need to get their sensors fixed and some customer service training. read more

Profiting off of African American culture It's funny how these type of stores and the people that run these types of stores are the most racist human beings I've ever encounter. I know they can't stand African-Americans or people of color and it's literally written all over their face. I walked into the store after shopping at H&M and I didn't know that a sensor was left on my pants from H&M. I walked into revolution and of course the sensors are going off due to the above mention. I couldn't even get three steps into the store before the owner and the sales rep were literally jumping all over me telling me that there is a sensor on. It wasn't the fact that a sensor was left on. It was the fact that I was treated like I stole something from the previous store and I was coming into their store to steal. First of all baby, nobody want these knockoff SHEIN clothes that you bought from the Santee alley in LA let's get that established. Your customer service is a below subpar especially to African-American women. I refuse to step foot in here ever again. I've come here a couple times and they always have really cute clothes. Great selection of casual bodycon dresses and club dresses. Whats awful is the staff. Every single ones of them- doesn't matter what day or time I go in, I've never seen 1 friendly staff member. I work in retail and understand how crappy it is to deal with rude customers, so when I shop, I'm always really nice and polite. Everytime that I've come here, the girls that work here always seem to have an attitude. Its like they only hire mean girls! They are very standoffish, they roll their eyes, they hardly make eye-contact with you, and "hi", "welcome", "thank you", "you're welcome", or "please" seem to not be a part of their vocabulary.. They pretty much have no manners. You're better off just not talking to staff. I promise you, they will treat you like dirt. read more

Horrible customer service my 14 year old was harassed by the store owner for eating a bag of chips, got so close to my son not respecting his personal space, my son told him back up, he refused and my son was Angry, and the owner was telling him what are you going to do teasing him and provoking a fight, my son was banned from the store, my son thought twice about the situation and did not take it to a other level. The return policy is trash. Due to covid you can't try things on, which is understandable, but you have 24 hours to EXCHANGE ONLY which makes zero sense. I bought a pair of Jean shorts for vacation and had to wait to try them on when I got home, they didn't fit right and I wanted to take them back. But since it'd been 4 days(as I had to wait to come back from vacation) they wouldn't let me return or even exchange. Customer service there is sub par at best. I'll never shop here again read more

Sometimes I can find a good deal. And they always have super cute high waisted shorts. And not to mention a HUGE selection for mens. Revolution is the place to go when you need street wear clothing, clubbing dresses, cute and casual dresses, cute bodysuits & bathing suits, and stylish branded clothing for both men and women !! They are also all so nice and helpful the moment you walk right into the store. You can expect them to just drop what they're doing to help you when you ask. I always buy my fits and clothing here and I always get compliments on where I get my outfits. This place is a one unique store that you can't just find anywhere and it's like no other. It's been a LONG time since I've been to Revolution. To the tune of 16 years or thereabouts. Yes, they've been there that long. In those days, you had the GTE flip phones that were half a dollar per minute prepaid, Robinsons May ripping people off, Electronics Boutique was a competitor to GameStop, and B.Dalton Bookstore was still a thing. Revolution specialized in those clothes you saw on music videos and were willing to pay for. That's about it. Sean John, Guess, FUBU, Roc-A-Wear, etc. All of the larger expensive brands were on display, for guys and gals. They had a selection of t-shirts and underclothes as well, but people came here for the expensive stuff. And yes, it was crazy expensive. At one point I would spend over $1,000/month on clothes. The owner would just round things down to whole numbers if you spent a certain amount or more, that's how much profit there was. But nobody else was wearing your gear, and that was a plus. It's great that they're still alive and kicking - means they are getting business even if it seems they're not from appearances. Unfortunately I moved to a place where such a store isn't available to me. But I wish them great continued success. read more

I was shopping for an outfit for a music festival so I didn't mind that the store was raunchy because that's the look you go for at festivals/raves. So I took like 9 outfits back to try on and asked for a fitting room and one of the employees gave me a room. In the middle of me trying on stuff I hear the staff start talking sh*t. "Did you see how many clothes she brought back there?" Then when I had two more outfits to try on the lady was like "the fitting rooms are closed so can you hurry up?" (it was 2pm in the afternoon) so I started rushing and didn't try on the rest of the clothes and I hung everything up back on hangers, there wasn't a place to put clothes back so I set it on the bench (all the clothes hung up) and she turns around and says "see this is why the fitting rooms are closed". Honestly I would have taken the time to put everything back but i was rushed out in a rude way. So I bought my outfit, which I shouldn't of even given them my business, and left. I went here with my friend and she saw a dress she liked on a mannequin. It was a size small and they ran out of smalls in the back. When we asked if she can have the small, they questioned her saying, "You want me to gettttt it?????" Uh yes we do. Then the girl asked another associate who seemed reluctant to take a simple dress off of a mannequin and we walked straight out. This place needs to train these two associates. Terrible customer service. I was waiting to try some clothes and the girl told me that I would be next. After standing there for 10 minutes I saw her letting other people get into the fitting rooms.
