I must say, one would think that Peanut Butter does not go with burgers. This is an extremely wrong opinion, an old way of thinking if you must. Not really sure how to explain it, peanut butter was a perfect replacement for mayo. Drizzling the Raspberry jelly was truly the best way to go. Just as important, the bun was local and fresh, while holding up to the weight of this sandwich. I can see why this burger and Lucky's won best burger multiple times. The very next day, when we went to eat it, something was clearly wrong. The shrimp salad caused a tingling sensation on our tongues, and it was obvious it had gone bad. I called the deli to let them know not just because we couldn't eat it, but because I thought they would want to know if there was a potential issue with the batch. Instead of receiving an apology or any concern, I was met with a dismissive response of, "Oh, that's weird," and the conversation felt condescending. I explained that I couldn't bring the shrimp salad back because I'm leaving town and my mother has limited mobility. I wasn't asking for a refund on our entire order. I simply asked if they could issue a gift card or store credit for the shrimp salad so my mother could use it on a future visit.
