    Pickle Monster
    Lauren M.

When we lived in East Falls, we used to frequent the Lucky's location in Manayunk and absolutely loved it. Now that we're in Center City, we're so grateful to have the same experience that we did out there. We started with two sour beers from their nice selection of craft draft and can options and with the roadside fries. I ordered the pickle monster, which is worthy of every award it has won, and my husband ordered the Gorgonzilla, which was also absolutely fantastic. It's a cool place with indoor and outdoor seating options, and service is friendly and speedy. Would definitely recommend adding this to your rotation of places in Philly!

Almost Inferno with a black bean patty and onion strings

Two burgers topped with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, fresh jalapeno, and our super special habanero mayo. A good dash of heat. I'm a vegetarian, and it is not easy finding a restaurant that offers a black bean burger instead of or in addition to an Impossible meat burger (I'm not a fan). So I was very excited to try Lucky's. After much internal debate, I ordered the "Almost Inferno" with a side of onion strings. Holy smokes, this was a delicious burger. The black bean patty was the perfect consistency and very hearty -- the black bean flavor was front-and-center supported by a tangy blend of spices. The habanero mayo and pepper jack cheese added a spicy but creamy kick to each bite, and the scallions (I think) under the patty offered a nice texture and punch of onion flavor. The flaky bun was just the right size and held everything together well. I love spicy food and have a relatively high heat threshold, but I found the burger to be mild/moderate in regard to the heat level. The onion strings were crispy and greasy just as I hoped they would be. The breading was slightly spicy with a faint peppery taste, and the side of special sauce added a tangy kick to each bite. The service side was big as well -- I couldn't finish them given the large size of the burger. The service was great and I really enjoyed the eclectic decor inside. I will definitely add this to my Philly restaurant rotation when I'm in town.

OMG I can't believe I waited so long to go here I hate myself for it absolutely the best burgers in the city! This is a must try for everyone. My wife and I had gone for her the weekend and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Once we were seated the serve had came in greeted her self and took out order for drinks. Shortly we ordered in which the serve was super helpful with suggestions since this was our first time. And once the food came out and I took the first bite I was in heaven. It was literally soo good I'm drooling just thinking of it. Needless to say I recommend everyone to go.

    PB&J Burger on GF bun

Worth the lil detour off the highway while passing through Philly. Shotgun review: - Divey, friendly atmosphere - Famous, award-winning PB&J burger* - Funky specials & daily deals (wine Wednesday, etc) - Gluten free options** - A few surprise costs*** *Interesting! Better than I expected & I'm glad I tried it. I wouldn't order it again but it was worth it for the experience. **Gluten-free bun was stale & cold, though. ***Didn't realize fries weren't included with burgers until we got the check. Oops. Also coke from the gun was $3.50 here which seemed a lil criminal.

Fresh off the train from NYC, this was my first meal in Philadelphia. Well my first meal was technically a ranch water and some Trader Joes peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets, but that's neither here nor there. After a 1,056 ft walk, we arrived at Lucky's Last Chance and were met with a 15 minute wait. First off, what a sick name. Lucky's Last Chance. I just wanna keep saying it. Rolls great off the tongue. About 8 min into our 15 min wait, 3 seats opened up at the bar so we just claimed them and sat there. Easy work. Lucky's Last Chance is the exact vibe that you would think when you hear the name. Divey interior with LOADS of character, people just happy to be here. I often times feel that these dive-like environments produce the happiest people. Note sure why, I will unpack that at a later date. Upon initial scan of the menu, the PB & Bacon burger caught my eye. Peanut butter on a burger? Wtf? I continued reading, and saw that it was the 3x Philadelphia Burger Brawl Winner. It's events like these that I am always skeptical for a few reasons: 1) What is Burger Brawl? Is this a legit competition? Idk. And they know I'm not going to take the time to look that up lol. 2) There were no years next to the 3x champion. What if it was 2009, 2010, 2011? What if they got CRACKED every year after. Idk. Amidst an internal war with myself on whether I should order this burger or not, I look up and to my right and see a GIGANTIC trophy that says "Burger Brawl People's Choice Award 2018." "Damn this must be legit then..." the hero said to himself. I asked the server what years they won Burger Bash, as I think this is a valid question if they have it on the menu. Without missing a beat he says "It should actually say 4x Champion we need to update this menu, we won in 2022 and they said we had to stop entering because we kept winning and they had us become a judge." LMAAAOOOOOOOO! Even if he was BSing me that came out of his mouth so quick I had to respect it. Needless to say, I ordered the PB & Bacon. Double patty because I am a BEAST. I'm going to do my best to articulate the experience of this burger, but my little pea brain is still processing it: This burger was the best experience that I never want to have again. Like rushing a fraternity or sorority. I had never thought about having peanut butter on a burger, let alone with bacon. Some bites were like wow this is actually amazing, why are we not funding this? Then other bites were like damn that was a lot of peanut butter, I need to wash this down with my Negroni. Overall, I admire this kind of innovation and risk taking. How could you not respect that? Leonardo Da Vinci and Steve Jobs are looking down on Lucky's Last Chance smiling at this level of creativity. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything, and am so happy I had it, but would not order it again. Fries were GAS too. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Great eats for late night. The wine was okay, especially for something on tap. They had a Thanksgiving sandwich special since Oct which sounded cool but macaroni was calling my name too much . Staff os friendly as this place is cool that it is open so late for food.! Better than Wawa but not quite 24-7. Works in this nice neighborhood . Bar joint is typical setting. Would I come back? Actually, yeah I would. Maybe I'd give that PB and J burger a chance that some people have been raving about. Would I be running for this place? Probably not, but that's okay. Having places like this to gorge on are super nice, but so are healthy alternatives as well.

Working in the area provided me the opportunity to dine at Lucky's Last Chance. Parking can be a bit challenging but circle the block a few times and you'll get a spot. Lucky's offered a nice amount of outdoor seating if that's your preference. Inside Lucky's offered a large bar with seating on two sides, a couple of window seats, some high tops, and booth seats. The venue is pretty big. Lucky's also offered two clean restrooms. The vintage pieces throughout the bar were cool and I loved the 80's music they were playing. Okay let's get to it! I ordered the My Boy Bleu burger. Featuring fresh crumbled Bleu cheese, homemade onion strings, and locally grown farm fresh diced tomatoes. I went with the double patty option. This was the best burger I've had this year! The beef procured from Carl Venezia Meats was handled with care by the chef at Lucky's. The burger was juicy and delicious. The toasted and buttered bun from Liscio's Bakey perfect. The Bleu cheese complimented the beef nicely. My side of crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy, and they had just the right amount of salt. I can't wait to bring the missus down and try some more of the menu. Shoutout to Tom and Heather and the rest of the staff who were friendly and on their game.

Well, well, well! I had a craving for a hotdog today. Not just a regular hotdog, but something I couldn't make at home. So, I did some research and found Lucky's Last Chance. I was concerned that the business might be closed bc of holiday. Therefore, I called to inquire about their hours. I was happy someone answered and told me the restaurant would be opened until 2 am. Yay!! I made my way over to the 2nd St location. There was a nice crowd inside, but not a soul outside. We decided to dine inside since it was a little too warm to be in the heat and we didn't want our waiter/waitress to run in and out just for us. We grabbed a small table in the back near the kitchen. We were greeted and ordered some beers on tap. Next up, food. I ordered the Norc Dog (chili, onions, brown mustard). The hubs ordered the Inferno burger (junior burger with jalapeño, pepper jack cheese, and spicy mayo). Additionally, we had the Main St fries (old bay cheese sauce). We enjoyed our craft beers while we waited for our food. Everything arrived at the same time. My dog was soo good. The chili had a nice heat and mustard mixed well with the chili too. The old bay cheese sauce was very tasty. There was the perfect amount of old bay mixed in the cheese. Neither overwhelmed the fries. My husband absolutely LOVED his burger. He said the jalapeños, cheese, and spicy mayo mixed perfectly together. He kept talking about how good the burger was. We were thoroughly surprised at our check since it was only $72 after our entrees and 6 beers. Thus, we left Lucky's even happier after enjoying our entire dining experience. Will we be back?? Absolutely!!!

Been meaning to try Lucky's for a minute, but somehow I always miss it when I'm back in Philly. Luckily, I was able to make a stop in this time and I'm glad i did. First off, the ambiance is pretty divey and it seems like a place that people in the neighborhood would frequent. Staff was super nice and friendly. As for the burger, it was for sure one of the best I've ever had. Cooked to perfection and the patties were juicy and flavorful. The Mac and cheese was the perfect compliment as well. This place is a must go since they have such great prices for top quality; wish I would've visited when I lived in Queens Village. Overall, lucky's is definitely a 5 star.

Met up with a bunch of friends on a Wednesday evening. There were eight of us. We sat upstairs and there were no problems with seating or them accommodating our large party. We ordered food and drinks and were there for over four hours! Our waiter was wonderful! Recommend food or drinks if anyone asked for assistance. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken burger with a side of roadside tots. Everything was great!

Lucky's has the best food. At my old place lucky's was two blocks away and I was spoiled with deliciousness. Whenever I visit philly now I make sure to stop by. I finally tried the black bean burger this last time and was very please you surprised ( trying to eat healthy in the new year but don't worry I still got tots because you have to!)

Garlic butter tots and cheesesteak hoagie burger of the month, ginger ale and cold brew on tap!

Ask the Community - Lucky's Last Chance

    Do they deliver?

In the Queen Village area, we are on Doordash only early in the week (our kitchen is too small to offer both during busier days). In the Manayunk area Lucky’s Roadside Stand is currently available on both Doordash and Grubhub. Hope that helps!

Does the Queen village location have a happy hour? If so, what is the menu for that?

Our specials change frequently so we’d recommend following us on social media for updates! Thanks for writing us!!

    Do they have high chairs?

We do, at both locations. They are available anytime in Queen Village, but due to our layout only upstairs in manayunk, which is open after 5 pm weekdays and all day on the weekends. See you soon!

Started off with the bartender giving me the stink eye and some lip about asking to sample their many micro-brews - I asked for one sample, it wasn't very good. The bartender's negative attitude made me uncomfortable asking for a second sample. Despite my trepidation and because they had as many as 19 different beers on tap, I asked for a second sample, which caused the bartender to frown at me and 'cut me off at 2.' I responded as positively as I could, accepted the second sample which I also did not enjoy, and took a random shot at a pint of a third beer which also wasn't great. Food was meh. As I now see has been noted in another review, the fried pickles had too much dough and way, way too much grease in them, which likely was the cause of me visiting the toilet a bunch in the morning. The pretzel was a hot pretzel, I don't agree with their choice of mustard as whole grain mustard can be difficult to spread on a hot pretzel but hey that's me. I understand that on Saturday nights people like to cut loose, but no one seemed to ask the women literally screaming with laughter to keep it down at the party in the corner, so this place gets low marks for very loud customers. I mean really there has to be a line somewhere and this was over it. The other bartender was almost apologetically polite when I asked for the check, kind of a good-cop/bad-cop thing going on there. If I wanted that experience I'd get arrested not visit a local bar. You only have one chance at a first impression.
