I have gone to them twice. First time everything was fine, sadly things went sideways the second time thus my rating. They send clothes out to be cleaned. In this situation, they lost one of my items. When I went in to pick up my clothes the first time, they told me that one if my items wasn't back yet and I would need to return. It wasn't until the second time I went that they explained what had happened. This is a risk in the way that the business is run, I get it. What bothers me is how they handled the situation. I needed to follow up with them. They didn't offer any compensation for the delay (or loss of item). Even after I provided them my information, it was up to me to follow up with them. It your business is to be the middle person for someone else's work, then I think customer service should be your top priority. Feels like they have lost their way here. read more

They are friendly, professional and clean. The place appears very organized. They are a family run business.

The good: The workers and/or owners seem nice and they do press/iron efficiently. The bad: Even when I pointed out stains upon leaving my clothes, they didn't remove them. We're not talking about paint or ink stains, folks. Think salad oil or grease from food that dribbled onto my shirts. Sometimes they'd attach a We Tried And Tried tag (uh-huh). Other times they didn't bother. The last straw was when I pointed out a stain, they didn't fix it as usual (not even a card), and when I complained the worker said, "Oh, they said it was an old stain." I liked her but, sorry, I'm not buying that "they" told her anything. In any case, yeah, it was an old stain--because they didn't fix it the first time! read more

I go to REX Cleaners for dry cleaning suits, vests, etc. I like the service, responsively and reliability. Reasonable average prices too for most items. This is my favorite option in the area. Race Street is not very wide along this street, but it hasn't been a problem for me pulling in and out of the small parking lot. read more

Dropped the suits off for a second round of adjustments after the first attempt resulted in inconsistent lengths across all of them. Unfortunately, the experience only got worse. One suit came back completely untouched, another had a button barely hanging on, and yet another was a full inch shorter than the rest. The lack of attention to detail was incredibly frustrating. I took two leather/faux leather jackets here to get handwashed since I had to eliminate the smoke smell from my recent trip to Vegas and my washing facilities at home were currently out of order and unusable. I received fast and efficient service. The worker was friendly and knowledgeable about the materials of my jackets and the best method of cleaning them and removing odors, which she explained to me before taking in my garments. She did not give me an exact quote at dropoff, rather a ballpark estimate of the cost. It ended up being $5 more when I picked it up, but it was affordable ($26 for two jackets), with quick turnaroud time (3 days), and excellent care and quality. They were hung and covered neatly in plastic. And I swear, they came out in better condition than when they were brand new, pristine and wrinkle free with the color seemingly restored (or maybe it was just that dirty, lol). Reliable, affordable, convenient, and they get the job done! Plus they accept credit cards and have a tiny parking lot out front (about 4 spaces). Short version: Do not go here for alterations. They are not set up for them. Their dry cleaning service may be fine; I didn't use it. Long version: I work around the corner so decided to try them for a simple hem on a top. Super easy job; should have take a couple days for like $15 max. When I first entered the shop, two employees were talking and did not acknowledge me in any way for several minutes. No greeting or "we'll be right with you." Then after talking with another employee and showing her the simple hem I wanted, she couldn't give me a price because they outsource their alterations to different company. I've never left something without a price but reluctantly agreed. She said she'd call next morning. She didn't call. I had to call only two hours before closing and she said their alterations lady hadn't even come in yet to check. She called back later asking if I wanted something different than the simple hem I'd clearly asked for so I had to call back again and explain I just wanted a hem. It was like four phone calls in total just for basic communication. I showed up on Friday when it was supposed to be ready and it was not. They said they'd have it the next day. But then they called me and said it came back wrinkled and they didn't have the equipment to press it until Monday (I don't know why; is equipment portable? They're a dry cleaners so it seemed weird). I picked it up today, after taking an entire week and about six phone calls to just do a simple hem. It cost $20 which is really high, even for this area. I asked politely for a discount for all the trouble and they refused. Will never return. read more

Sadly Rex Cleaners has been hit hard by COVID like many businesses so they adjusted their hours so they could stay open. I always recommend checking with the business directly during the COVID-19 Shelter in Place. Now for their service. From the moment I stepped into the store the staff was very friendly and helpful. They let me know that due to COVID cleaning times were taking a longer than non COVID times which is completely understandable. My clothes were ready and available as promised and they did a beautiful job pressing my shirts and cleaning my suit. Their prices are very reasonable and they have dedicated parking. It's in a convenient location for both me and Mo to drop off and pick up from. (On Race right off The Alameda) 2. Good value, quick turnaround, and an assortment of services. We can get both his and hers washed no matter what type of cleaning is needed. This is my neighborhood, Cleaners, and I come here often. I have brought my comforter a few times, with great results. This time I had an especially worrisome concern, as our cat have urinated on the bedspread. I was worried it would never come out, and Rex Cleaners did an amazing job! Every time I've picked up my clothes, I'm very happy with the job they've done (whether it's dry cleaning or alterations). I also took a chance and had them clean an old, antique rug. Do not take your dry-clean to this place because they will burn them and then blame it on the customer assuring that there is no way they can burn silk. My shirt is brand new worn once and the people here destroyed it and didn't dare pay the 280 dollars. They even returned it without a label about having some issues because they burnt it and then since I trusted them it took me months to notice so the owner said that "there is no way they burnt a shirt brought in 6 months ago". It hurts so much to have your trust destroyed and I cried in the event I was wearing the shirt because it was the second time I would use it and it is destroyed and Kevin the owner doesn't care about what the employees do. He was the rudest and the lady who received me didn't even apologize. This place is the worst and I wish I had never brought my delicate clothes here. In fact, the plastic wrap that goes on top of the dress had rips in the same places. The staff told to me to contact the owner since Kevin wasn't there when I picked up.
