We've been to Rey Bagel Bistro several times and it's always fantastic! The bagels themselves are different (in a good way!)--they have a nice almost char flavor to the from the brick oven. The breakfast sandwiches, all delicious! My wife gets the Jalapeño, Avocado, & Egg with Turkey Bacon on an assortment of bagels. My go-to is a Pork Roll, Egg, & Cheese on a Jalapeño Bagel. We both get bagels scooped and toasted. The girls are always so nice and will even make recommendations if you tell them what you're looking for. I splurged a few times and got the classic, and today tried something a little different based on a recommendation: Power Bagel (scooped & toasted, of course) with Avocado, Lox, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, & Capers...so fresh and delicious! Stopped in for the first time to try them out. I ordered a sesame bagel with tuna and a tea. My order came to $18.50. I was surprised that one bagel cost that much. I asked what kind of tuna is it? Albacore? They said no just white fish. So I'm not sure why so much of an up charge when the tuna is not even quality. I decided to just get cream cheese instead and still paid over $8. This is a Bagel joint, and my oh my do they do bagels better than any other spot! We ordered 3 bagel sandwiches this morning, and everyone was beyond pleased. I had the Meat, egg, and cheese with a plain bagel. First off, they take their time to make these sandwiches which I appreciate. The wait was about 10 mins, but with that 10 mins comes freshly made egg, REAL bacon that is crisp, and cheese that is perfectly melted. I mean ya'll look at the pics! The people running the kitchen the places seemed family oriented and really nice. The inside is very roomy with plenty of seating. The way this place treats people is awful. Gig drivers come in all shapes and sizes. So an elderly person with asthma has to wait out in the heat. You are going to make people wait in the hot or cold. What if all those people that placed delivery orders decided to pick up? Would you make them wait outside? Same difference. Fantastic place to grab some breakfast on the weekend. I woke up craving a bagel sando and always wanting to try a new place out, Rey's hit the spot. First off, lots of parking and the inside is very cute and cozy. Every single person that walked in said "Mmm that smells delicious" and I laughed since I did the same thing. We both got a toasted everything bagel, egg, pork roll & cheese. Since I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted sweet or savory to begin with, I also got a side of pancakes. (Always get a side of pancakes.) He said the coffee was good and I had grabbed a bottle of oj from the merchandiser. The bagel sandwiches were awesome. I gave it a 3-Star because the bagels are not bad, but they certainly aren't the same as they used to be when it was under the ownership and store of Mount Royal Bagels. The service is slower, and I don't feel the warm vibe I once had back in the day. Also, the bagels used to be boiled in honey water. I don't know if they still are but the bagel flavors and textures are not quite the same. Very dry and at times left something out that you know it's missing something. Unfortunately, I had expectations with having the Mount Royal Bagels and the cream cheese flavors that were similar, but as I previous customer, it is hard to compare. To note, I have not had any other food items other than bagels and cream cheese. I may return, but I will search for my new favorite bagel place in the area. read more

They cook it crisp to perfection every time. We live in PA and look forward to our weekly visit here. The staff is courteous and service is remarkably quick. I received a yellow EGG bagel - literally my least favorite type of bagel on earth, even worse than plain IMO - and no chive cream cheese whatsoever, and wait for it BACON not pork roll (Taylor ham) I know FOR SURE considering my boyfriend's sandwich was made correctly and did have pork roll on it - I also know because I know the different between bacon and pork roll. Duh. Honestly, how is this level of incompetence achieved?? Do you know how disappointing it was to drive all the way home and find I wasn't given what I ordered? And to make it worse - the reason I didn't feel the need to double check my sandwich was correct by unwrapping it in the restaurant, was because they WROTE "ONION" ON MY SANDWICH.
