Plain bagel, sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich.
Steven D.

First time customer today. My wife and I ordered 3 sandwiches. The bagels were very good, and the sandwiches were delicious. We will definitely be back for more. Future regulars.1

Friendly staff. Tables for eating in and a few bar seating decorated for the holiday. Limited selection of bagels but interesting and different sandwich ideas. Unfortunately the bagels themselves were heavy, doughy and had no hole in the middle. Also, my everything bagel had no seasonings on the outside (picture shown). They were very busy and I wish them luck but I would not call them bagels.

My new favorite spot. Never had a bagel like this before, absolutely amazing. More crunchy outside but so fluffy and soft inside. Owner and worker ( sorry I didn't catch your names) were so friendly and sweet ! Welcome to the area, so glad you guys opened ! Also, they do too good to go bags and/or donate their leftovers to our officers and firefighters which I love.

I ordered The Padre and The Poplar. The bagels were fresh and soft. I'll be back again.

From the moment you pull into the parking lot, it's complete chaos, cars double parked everywhere with no organization. Walking inside doesn't get any better. The place is overcrowded with DoorDash and Grubhub drivers just standing around, and there's no clear system for who's waiting, who's ordered, or where to go. You literally have to ask a dozen people just to figure out where the line starts. After finally placing our order, we were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. That turned into an hour... then an hour and a half... then nearly two hours, with zero communication or updates. We even went back in after an hour, only to be told our food still wasn't ready, but were offered a tiny spoon of water ice as if that somehow made up for it. Then, after waiting even longer, we were finally told they were out of beef bacon, the main ingredient in both of our sandwiches, and asked if we wanted a substitute. At that point, absolutely not. We canceled the order. To make matters worse, instead of issuing a proper refund, we were told to "monitor our bank account" and come back if the charge doesn't fall off. That's unacceptable. At least the receipt says voided but I already know where I'll be on Wednesday

That's a pet peeve for me, but I have been here before as a doordasher and the same lady was kind. Ordered the special. Chicken Caesar sub. Came to about $13 or so. Steady flow of customers. Wait was about 10 minutes or so. At $13 I'm expecting something bigger but upon opening it. I can see how they price. Just different I guess for the area. I would give this sandwich a 10 but besides the size, the roll although a good selection, it's like you got a fresh roll and it went to the next day or maybe late in the same day. It just don't hit the same. But other than that I'd double back to see what else is on the menu.

Also went with the fries since they are homemade. This place didn't disappoint. From the bread, to the crispy chicken, to the various veggies and condiments, this sandwich was amazing. Texture, taste made it very memorable. Fries were awesome, fresh, and thin cut. Definitely homemade.. I didn't eat in, but the place had a nice vibe, with music playing, and plenty of tables for you to enjoy the vibe and food. I will return to try more

My son got chicken birria tacos. They were amazing. The broth that came with the tacos was so flavorful. I got the carnitas tacos with rice and beans. It was all amazing. First off, this place has an insane menu. It's actually a little suspicious how large the menu is, only to get even crazier when you find out they have an ITALIAN side as well that does pizza, burgers and the like....curiouser and curiouser. Despite that, we decided to give them a go. I went with the chicken enchiladas, while the Misses got the chicken taco platter. I went with mole sauce for the enchiladas, and they were good. The rice and beans were fantastic, and the only thing that I didn't like about the enchiladas were the corn tortillas. (I know, I KNOW....."authentic." But I'm a gringo that prefers my flour tortillas!) The Misses was less enthusiastic about the tacos, because they were DRY. I believe you CAN add sour cream, etc for an additional charge, but just baseline, all you get is some hot sauce and some salsa verde, neither of which she wanted to put on her tacos. We wound up sprucing them up at home with shredded cheese and sour cream. The TASTE of the tacos was fine. We opted for take out. The building itself is a kaleidoscope of colors! Vibrant, bright reds and greens covering the entire outside and inside. Murals on the walls, the whole 9. But, that's the dining side. The pickup side is like a pizzeria vibe, with a few, not that clean, bench seating tables and a pickup counter. You can see straight into the kitchen, so at least they aren't hiding anything. We picked up and rolled out with zero fuss. Online order went through Slice, but El Gaujillo doesn't participate in Slice rewards so theres a knock right there. I would certainly come back. Like I said, the menu is expansive, and there are a few things I wanted to give a try to.
