You find yourself so relaxed listening to the music playing in the background and enjoying the decor. That you realize you're talking to yourself softly saying, you don't ever want to leave. As for the service, we were treated really good. We were always attended to promptly, and we even shared some good laughs with the waitress & waiter. We ordered quite a few things from the menu and everything was out of this world. That's one thing about a Tapa style restaurant, you can order so many things from the menu that peak your interest. Falafel bites- Nicely served crispy balls with tzatziki sauce Lamb chop- seasoned perfectly and the spread that came with it complimented the dish perfectly Lamb baklava- deliciously pack with lamb, and the sauce on top was unique. It had a little sweetness to it, but it fit the dish quite well Lebanese tacos- DE-LIC-IOUS....easily one of the best chicken tacos I have ever had Shawarma platter- this is the biggest entree on the menu. I'm updating the review based on our most recent experience It was night and day compared to our first visit, which I believe was a one off situation. Our hostess Marissa was super kind and accommodating, checking up on us to make sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious. The price point reflects the care given to the quality of food. For drinks, we got the mezcal smoke show and old fashioned. Both well balanced drinks. For food, we got the octopus, falafel bites, manchego cauliflower croquettes, picana beef, and Arabic fries. For dessert we got the baklava. The star of the show was the octopus. It was a generous portion and cooked to perfection. The manchego cauliflower croquettes and falafel bites were crispy and delicious, both having us craving more. The Beef Picana was simple, but cooked and seasoned perfectly. I recommend pairing with the fries, which were so satisfying and the date ketchup was addictive. The baklava was plated nicely and a feast for the eyes. A bit heavy on the pastry cream, but the flavours worked well together and a unique interpretation of the traditional dessert. Was looking up places to eat around this area and Reyna on King popped up. The thing which drew me to this place ,was the unique menu items they had. The restaurant has a very charming interior and though quite small, they do have outdoor seating! I ordered the Manchego and Cauliflower Croquettes and these were the right level of crispiness and were really creamy. It made me forget that it was made out of cauliflower! I also ordered the Lebanese Chicken Tacos. The chicken was nicely seasoned and all the components worked well together! Though the menu items are on the pricier side, the unique menu items are a draw to try them out. The service was also good. The truffle aioli was also so flavourful - exactly what I needed to accompany my drinks on a bar night! 9/10 - Shawarma platter: We got this with the whole chicken since we had a party of 5. I think this was an amazing value for $69. You get a whole chicken with flatbread, picked turnips, tzatziki, salsa, lentils, and vegetables. The chicken was very juicy and tender too! 9/10 - Grilled prawns: This was delicious and there were 5 whole prawns for all of us to each have one! What a wonderful experience! I was drawn into this restaurant because of the beautiful ceiling. They also look like they have great cocktails. They blew my mind! The staff were super friendly, knowledgable and efficient. You could tell they really had a love for food and beverage. We tried four different cocktails and they were all fabulous. My favourite was the mezcal smoke show. Soooooooo perfectly balanced. The food was also out of this world. We tried the Spanish fries with spicy chorizo and Spanish cheese. I love how thin cut their fries are and this is one of those dishes that is so good fresh from the kitchen. We tried to order things that wouldn't travel week as takeout. We also got the cauliflower croquettes. Mmm the spicy mayo was so yummy. Then we tried the lamb baklava which neither of us were expecting a lot from but again, wow! So good! We sat on the patio out front, where we were able to enjoy their early 2000's playlist that was playing inside for a fun cool ambiance. With the exception of the calamari which was bland and uninspiring, all of the food we ordered was absolutely delicious!!! Surprisingly I did not miss the potatoes in their version of Patatas Bravas using cauliflower. The Halloumi Souvlaki was the perfect combination of salty, savoury, and creamy. After we were seated service was good even if a bit slow. We ordered tapas style, lamb baklava was the best dish we had, beautifully presented and delicious. Melt in your mouth. Italian fries was another super dish, very stringy and truffle oil is a weakness for me and in aioli form was good as well. Lebanese tacos also tasty, lots going on and a good quantity of chicken filling, perfectly spicy for me ie not too much. The Picana beef I would give a 2 star, as a bit too chewy though good flavour (fig glaze was a nice touch). Maybe we have never had this cut before or it was undercooked not quite sure. I went here for a friend's birthday dinner and the atmosphere was very nice. It catered very well to my gen z/ millennial need for an instagramable backdrop. But after that the restaurant kinda fell short. The Greek fries were shredded potatoes with feta, the shrimp was actually really good and the half souvlaki dinner wasn't souvlaki?!? If I'm not wrong souvlaki is chicken skewers and not a half chicken. I feel like it takes away from the juiciness and chard taste of the chicken. Also wasn't a big fan of the lentils that is came with it and I have to mention the pita was actually a tortilla. Not sure why this place is rated so low. It's a somewhat still newish neighbourhood spot. We went the first week. The staff and the owner were super nice to us. They let us move from the bar to a window seat once most of our order had come because they knew we had been eyeing the seat. Drinks and food were decent. The portions aren't huge so you have to order a bunch of things, but it's meant to be snacking-tapas style. The baklava and pide were my favourite. The cauliflower was missing something, which we told to the owner. She was really nice and receptive. The space is beautifully decorated. I went here for drinks and bites 3 nights during a recent Toronto trip, and I had great times on 2 of those nights. It was in walking distance from my AirBNB in Corktown and offered a nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of downtown Toronto spots. This place felt like a polished yet chill neighborhood restaurant. All of the dishes I ordered were good except for the octopus; the menu said it came with something like "crispy potatoes," but it showed up on top of some kettle potato chips (big let-down). But again, the other dishes I ordered were good. As for drinks, the cocktails were well-made on 2 of the 3 nights I was there. The one slightly underwhelming cocktail experience was on the one night with a reserved (and maybe a tad standoff-ish?) bartender. The bartenders on the other two nights played fun music, engaged patrons at the bar, and sparked conversations between patrons, making the experience enjoyable for all. An urban oasis in the east! Came here on a Saturday for a girl's night. Wasn't sure what to expect with the snack menu (I was a hungry bear) but was so pleased! Lots of vegetarian options and a great selection of mocktails for the non-drinkers in the group too. We ordered the falafel sliders (delicious), the halloumi sticks (a bit salty, but good), greek fries (just what you'd expect), cauliflower croquettes (buttery soft and oh-so-good), and cauliflower bravas (spicy!). I ordered the Blueberry Rumble mocktail which was a great treat since I wasn't drinking, and they kindly kept the sparkling water flowing for me afterwards. The other girls drank wine all night, but we all drooled over the sangria at the next table. The atmosphere is stunning, with a beautiful green plant ceiling, gold details around the bar, and large, open windows to the street. I was visiting Toronto for the weekend and booked Brunch at Reyna on King, since I love Mediterranean food. To start the decor in this place is amazing, it has an indoor garden hanging from the ceiling and a very elegant full bar. We ordered cocktails first and one I really loved was "Message in a Bottle", a perfect mix of Havana Club, pineapple and lime. Then we ordered the "Shakshuka" and the "Croque Madame" to share. These choices were absolutely delicious, specially the fresh and colorful salad surrounding the Croque Madame with small rolls of smoked salmon. But the best part is yet to come, for a sweet ending we had the Baklava French Toast, which is also perfect to share and is so authentic! I had never heard of this dish before, but it sounded spectacular so we went for it! We were not wrong, the mix of vanilla ricotta and candied pistachio over baklava crusted challah bread was indescribable. Service was outstanding as well, all the dishes arrived on time to our table and the waitress was very nice and even gave us directions to take the subway back to our Airbnb. While take out during covid is not shocking how good this was really was surprising. I ordered a spicy bourbon based cocktail and was wowed by the cute burlap bag it came in and the very nice garnish (orange peel spicy pepper).
